system members who don’t front often or never front are completely valid and are still real system members! you dont have to front frequently (or at all) to be an important and worthy part of a system ♥
system members that front often tend to get most of the spotlight, so let’s all remember to be thankful for our system managers, the internal self helpers, and any headmates who rarely/never front (regardless of role or lack thereof) as well. your existence is appreciated!! :]

Introducing a resource...Plural Bot!
Plural Bot is a chat bot that we trained to provide information and support for plural systems (and people wanting to learn about them). They are inclusive of all systems, origins, and needs. Some examples of things they can do:
Walk you through grounding exercises
Provide communication techniques
Help you make a system map
Listen to you vent
Give you their perspective on a problem
Provide basic information on most things plural
They are still learning so let them know when they're doing a good job! Also, understand that they are not a real person so there are times when they may get things wrong. All of your chats are completely invisible unless you decide to share them.
We hope that the community likes this resource!
You can chat with Plural Bot here!

Website Update
Put up a new system member guide for how to make your own guide for personal use, as we found the extant 'new alter' guides lackluster.

Inner Worlds: A System Forum
Tumblr media
This is a system forum with more of a focus on inner worlds and emphasis on system member individuality.
It's meant to be a space for systems to communicate and connect with one another while building themselves up in the process, as well as a space to discuss some of the stranger aspects of being a system and being a person in a system.

Question for systems with inner worlds:
How do y’all see the innerworld/other alters? Like for us we don’t exactly have an innerworld but we can see each other to some extent. However, we see each other as 2D/cartoony. I was wondering if other people view each other the same way or is it more “realistic” so to speak?

Sometimes being a system isn't fun; there are times where I don't enjoy sharing my body and life. But one thing I do enjoy is knowing I'm a system. I'm glad I understand why my life is like this. I'm glad I have the words for it. I'm glad I can find the root of many problems I previously had no answers for. I'm glad I get to know this part of my life. Even if there are times where I sigh and wonder what it would be like to have my own individual life without the unique troubles that come with being a system, I would never want to go back to when I didn't know I was/am one.
And I guess that's a kind of system pride. Not proud, necessarily, of being a system, though I try to be that, too – more so proud that I know myself and having a desire to help others know themselves, too. Pride in knowing who we are in a world that made us so sure we were something else for so long.

big shoutout to systems that feel like they're faking, or like they're not a real system !!
self doubt is super common in plurality!!
just because you have bad communication with your system members, or can only hear them if you focus doesn't mean you're faking it!!
yes even if they're quiet sometimes, or most of the time!!
you aren't doing it for attention!!

hi does anyone know of a word that describes this experience?
one of us has a kintype, but not. he doesn't actively identify as this thing, but still feels a connection to it that feels relevant to his identity/like it should be labeled because the headmate that he descended/sorta split from had this kintype. is this a word ??
if one doesn't exist we will probably coin one.

Webber on the amegenic flag!
Amegenic refers to a system or sidesystem/subsystem that, like seelegenic, wholly or partially shares a soul with each other. However, unlike seelegenic, this is not due to splitting one’s soul or having one’s soul split into different pieces. Certain system members (or all of a system) just happen to share a soul or soul line.

I think we've talked before about how Pluralpedia doesn't really work as a wiki, but we were actually trying to use it for a few hours the other day.
We've been working on our system obsidian so we were going through it to lift any concepts we might have missed, but even for searching for terms the wiki structure just doesn't work for that. It would work a lot better as a glossary where the definitions were listed next to each term instead of needing to click through pages to get the definition.
Like that was us using it for its intended purpose and the way we've seen other systems say they use it, and we added maybe... three pages to our system wiki because of it.
Ironically, the terms that were just systems describing their own experiences and coining directly to the wiki also seemed to be the bulk of the fleshed out pages, but those were difficult to find and would probably be useless if we were just looking for terms.
It feels like Pluralpedia would work better if it were divided into two separate wikis and a glossary, one for well established concepts that merges together similar terms and creates longer, sourced articles, a glossary for people who need to look up what terms mean and get potential synonyms, and a wiki for systems to put their personal terms or concepts (sort of like a "fanon" wiki).
