The Queens and their wisdom - Shadow Work with the Queen(s) of Earth, Air, Water and Fire.

The Queen of Earth is the Queen of the Sacred Vessel. The sacred vessel being the human body, the very thing that makes it possible for us to partake in the human experience and life in general. She says, “If you take great care of the earth and your sacred vessel, you will always know peace.” Without her, there is no air, no water and no fire. There is no life. The Queen of Earth is deeply rooted in her independence, strength and integrity. She will love you behind your back and do the right thing when no one is watching. She understands that what she gives, she also receives. She’s mastered the art of growth and her branches scrape the sky. She lends a hand to others, helping them to reach her at the top. She knows that the material world is fleeting, but it is necessary for human life. She’s hard working, dedicated and responsible with her wealth and material possessions. The Queen of Earth struggled to put down her roots. She didn’t know where and she didn’t know how, she was an endless wanderer, a soul searching for a home. One day, a whisper came to her on the breeze and told her “your soul is a garden.” She learned that she could grow her own home inside of her, so long she water and tend to it everyday. That’s exactly what she did. Now, this Queen is at home everywhere she goes. To embody her energy, become one with the earth. Journal about how humans are like the trees, the soil and the seas. What can you learn from earth about what it means to be alive? What seeds are you planting in your soul garden and how can you water your soul garden? Also check in with your financial situations and tie up any loose ends that you’ve been procrastinating.

The Queen of Air is the Queen of Clarity. She says, “Every personal transformation begins with clarity.” She rules words of power, thought, honesty, divine inspiration and communication. She is the Queen that assists us during ritual, helping us to visualize our intent. She plants seeds of inspiration in the hearts of many, and she seeks to create the life she dreams of living. She understands that all great transformations begin in the mind. They begin with the silent acknowledgment of what must be changed, what is no longer working for her and how to align her thoughts with her action. The Queen of Air is a truth seeker and an honest speaker, never allowing illusions to screw her vision. She sees straight to the core of every matter and she’s mastered the ability to navigate difficult situations by using her ability to see clearly. She is extremely inventive, always having a creative itch to scratch and always feeling the need to bring her creative ideas to life. She makes for a great leader in bringing differing perspectives together to create a middle ground for all. There was a time when the Queen of Air lived through a Smokey mirror. Distortion rippled through her lenses. She could not decide what or who was true. She saw so much, all of the time and her mind would spin into chaos. She didn’t know how to discern the truth in anything, she was missing a piece to her puzzle. One day there was a storm, worse than all the others and from the depths of this storm, a voice came forward to greet her. This voice is the voice of her inner knowing, the voice that decides the truth. She took its hand, she learned to trust it and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Though this storm rocked her world, she was blessed with her greatest gift, the gift of knowing. To embody her energy, pay close intention to your inner dialogue. Our inner dialogue is the things we say to ourselves inside of our heads. It’s the thoughts we have every second of everyday. It’s how we treat ourselves on a daily basis. It is true that our thoughts create our reality. Make a point to pay close attention to the things you say to yourself within a day. Make a list of negative thought patterns and how you can change them into positive thought patterns. Positivity alone won’t create change, but it’s the start of creating change. Positive self talk paired with honest self reflection lays the foundation for what it is you wish to change and grow. We start every great transformation with clarity and a change in mindset, as cliché as it sounds. Sometimes all it takes to jump start a change is a shift in perspective. What perspectives do you need to shift so that change may take place? What truths must you face in order to move forward?

The Queen of Water is the Queen of the Unseen. She understands that some things cannot be seen, they can only be felt, and she allows what she feels to guide her. She flows effortlessly through life just like water. She says, “You may dance on the surface for as long as you’d like, but all truth is found when you take the dive.” She fearlessly dove into the murky depths that many dare not enter. And for that, she is brave. The Queen of Water doesn’t wear her bravery on her sleeve like the Queen of Fire, but she does wear her tender heart. When people become acquainted with this Queen, they feel understood and accepted. She gives her love away freely, but she is extremely careful about who she gives her whole heart to. Although she is mostly an open person, there is one part of her that she holds close to the chest. This is the part of her that exists beneath her surface and she has to trust a person whole heartedly if they wish to explore these depths. She once gave her heart away too freely, believing that her heart could mend another’s. She once searched for her home in the eyes of others, hoping that maybe this love will make her happy this time. But it never did, and eventually she understood that her codependency was holding her hostage. Today, the Queen of Water understands that genuine connection is a bit hard to find and she’s perfectly fine with her own company and the company of the ones that have been granted access. When this Queen took the dive into her shadow, she was able to see how her past was affecting her present life. With this knowledge she was able to heal her deeply rooted wounds and fully blossom into the woman that she is today. To embody her energy, go deeper into shadow work. Try to identify a shadow aspect about yourself that has been hard to face and accept. How was the shadow aspect instilled within you and how does it affect your life today? If you can’t think of a shadow aspect that you aren’t aware of, challenge yourself to discover an unknown aspect of your shadow self. Dive into your untouched depths.

The Queen of Fire is the Queen of Creative Life Force. She was born with her inner flame already ignited. The more life experience she acquires, the more she feeds her fire until her flame becomes a blaze. She says, “Discover what sets your heart on fire, and watch all fear turn to ash.” The Queen of Fire has a restless spirit that she soothes with action and adventure. She’s a social butterfly who lights up a room and her warmth draws people in. This Queen learned a long time ago how to control her inner fire. She would burn herself as well as others in moments of intense emotion, but she’s mastered the art of containing her flames. She’s learned how to unleash her fire in creative and inspiring ways. She is a creature of action and ignition, always making the first move. She understands that it is our fire that makes this life worth living. Without it, what a boring and dull world it would be. Without passion, intensity, love and creativity what would we have to look forward to? The Queen of Fire once questioned the purpose of living. What’s it matter if it all goes black in the end anyway? Then suddenly, a spark catches her eye and she follows it’s faint flickering of light, like a lightening bug leading her on an adventure. On this adventure she realized that her purpose is to feel deeply and to live freely while she’s alive, while her light still shines. And hopefully, she’ll leave some of her light behind to live on for all eternity. To embody her energy, move. Act. Create. Do. Have you been drawn to any form or a passion project and are you being called to create something special? If you have a creative itch you can’t scratch, keep trying new outlets until you’re satisfied. What hobbies are you drawn to and what talents do you have? Most importantly, write about the life you would live if fear of the unknown didn’t exist.

Like the stars chase the sun, over the glowing hill i will conquer -

Meet iulia, one of my dnd characters, formerly an Oath of Conquest paladin. Like Leondras, the founding mother of her former order, she decided to break her oath and raise her sword towards the very institution that instructed her.

She's my character in @royalsea-art's grand scheme of things

First image is how she started on the campaign. Recently turned 19, fresh in a different city, trying to be lawful and impose peace (yes, she was a cop, bear with me)

Second image is from the customary masquerade session.

Aaaand then the incident* happened *we got bamboozled (she trusted her order and an old friend against the party's advice and all she got was treason)

I did not choose the song so do not perceive me, Iulia's song is Queen of peace by florence + the machine but they made me use ed sheeran against my will

So! Long story short, she sacrified so the rest of the party could escape, dying in the process. This is the moment when i think she definitely broke her oath and cut ties with her order.

Eeeexcept she did not die, and was saved from the fire and rubble by Nirilde (the eyepatch one) (gay behaviour enemies to lovers shit if you ask me) (i may have some homoerotic swordfighting sketches) a member of the cult the party has been fighting against from the beggining. (the party members still think she died)

She was held hostage for some time but in the end managed to escape and partially recover from her burns. she looks like this right now:

She now marches for The Sun, ready to defend the people she loves from the same people that managed to corrupt Leondras' legacy, the same ones she fought all those years ago.

Sunlight brings warmth, but it can also start a fire.

The night she died, iulia was a spark.
