Things that will be given out via codes for various Worlds livestreams. (Tho Sinistea will be given out on-site.)

The shirt is for Unite, and the card is for the online TCG.

The Victini has a Starf Berry and has the moves V-Create, Zen Headbutt, Flame Charge, and Work Up.

Iirc, back when the Crown Tundra DLC launched, there was some internal data found for Victini, I guess they were planning on a giveaway back then but all the stuff with the pandemic caused them to hold off.

Today was so dumb and shitty that I started digging through drawers, found the codes, and decided to fire up TCGO and see what I got

It’s hating Pokémon TCG Live time. Not only does it not have a horizontal mode on the phone app (I play on my iPad bc the text is too small on my phone and horizontal makes everything even bigger) which its predecessor Pokémon TCG Online did but the desktop app won’t even open properly. It puts me into an endless loop of choosing the language and this has apparently been a problem for many other people as well since it was released in June. You’d think they’d have fixed it by now

Opening packs is also less satisfying and I keep losing at the bottom of the ranked league even though I was pretty good at Pokémon TCG Online (might be partially bc I’m not used to ex cards but I played a lot with V and V-star cards and they’re not that different)

#like why did they do this pokemon tcgo was really good #a bit slow to load at times but that was literally my only criticism

God, I love the PTCG Community Sometimes.

Last Thursday, Jun. 15th, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live developed a really strange bug. Basically, if you attacked with this card, Spiritomb (PAE), it would literally just crash your opponent's game. I found this out the hard way, as it happened to me the first game I attempted to play that morning.

Later that day, Spiritomb was temporarily banned from play on the client to prevent people from abusing the bug. In the time that it took for the Pokémon Company to take action, a whole new metagame spawned around this bug.

I give you the first great innovation in the Spiritomb Wars, brought to us by the mind of the brilliant Jake Gearhart.

The strategy was quite simple. The deck contains only 6 basic Pokémon. 4 Klefki, 1 Espeon V and 1 Spiritomb. The goal is to either go second and win with Spiritomb first or open Klefki, a Pokémon that turns off the ability of Spiritomb when it is in the active spot to delay your opponent's Spiritomb win long enough for you to execute the combo first.

There, as always, are many more layers to this onion.

The deck plays a 1-1 line of Espeon VMAX that allows you to beat opposing Klefkis. The 1 Path to the Peak in the deck allows you to turn off opposing Espeon VMAXs so that they can't counter your Klefki.

After this work of art was unveiled to the world, a new piece of technology emerged that would allow a Spiritomb player to beat an opposing Klefki with no counterplay: Cancelling Cologne.

Playing a Cancelling Cologne would turn off an opposing Klefki, turning your Spiritomb back on and allowing you to win the game with Fade Out.

It wasn't all fun and games after the temporary ban though. It just unveiled more bugs that allow you to crash your opponent's game.

Enter: Cas-- I mean er, Penny.

It turned out that if you you played any Pokémon with an ability that turns off abilities, then played Penny to put that Pokémon back into your hand...your opponent's game would crash just like with Spiritomb. This was the point of no return.

Every single Pokémon that could cause this bug got the temporary ban hammer shortly after this was discovered, along with Penny who was later unbanned.

Three days later, the cards remained banned and we've been told to expect them to remain banned for a week or possibly even more. This is fantastic as many people, myself included, use this program to test for upcoming events like the North American International Championships that is taking place in 2 weeks. (Wish me luck!)

This client is a mess. Please give us back the old one.
