I'm curious, what are everyone's feelings on Tedgens (Ted x Hidgens)? From an absolutely huge ship that dominated the fandom to hated by the majority of fans because of the age gap to... What now? Seemingly just forgotten. Like I haven't heard Tedgens mentioned in a long, long time now. So I'm curious, what are people's thoughts on the ship now?

ted moved into hidgens' weird mansion in the witchwood pretty early in their relationship (excused this by saying it was better than the crappy apartment he'd been living in before)(more space for his kids)

they got married without telling anyone because they thought it was funny. it was just them, an ordained minister, and one witness in a courtroom. it Was funny

hidgens helps teds kids with their homework !! they like him a lot

ted is forced to listen to hidgens' rants about modern theater. he doesnt care about the subject at all but he knows hidgens likes to rant so he just lets him. does a crossword or smthn while he listens and makes those little 'mhm' noises every so often

ted talks to hidgens in italian sometimes because he thinks its attractive. hes not very good at it. in fact hes really really bad at it. hidgens doesnt speak italian at all he just kinda nods along whenever it happens

there is undeniable evidence that hidgens has probably maimed someone in the past. ted does not care

When You Smile (Remy/Emile): Remy just wanted to grab a quick coffee. He didn't anticipate the cute stranger dancing in line. Part of the "Roundabout" canon.

Borderline (Established Roman/Virgil & Logan/Patton, Janus/Remus): Following the unexpected death of their mother, Roman and Remus are tasked with cleaning out their parents' attic. Old photos bring up old memories, old trinkets bring up old feelings, but a stack of letters may begin to distort the thoughts of their childhood, or bring their thoughts of it to new light. i just don't see the chemistry i think? i absolutely see where the tedgens truthers are coming from i just don't believe in their beliefs

i am a sucker for people who have been made to feel unloveable loving each other and healing together. the issue with that is that hidgens wouldn't do that. he's completely and totally unhinged and (yeah it's hot but) he would never be the support that ted needs, and vice versa.

i do think that this ship is funny as hell. i imagine it starting after tgwdlm and the fandom being like "what if i pitched an idea for a musical to you and then we kissed on the mouth and then i blew up the last safe space in all of town"

Just some Hatchetfield doodles. (Ignore the fact that I’ve never seen a gun irl and was too lazy to look one up.) Finally settled on a design for Hidgens, then all the other characters came easy.

Anyway, love Hidgens, love Ted. I’ve got a headcanon that Hidgens found out that homeless Teddy is Ted and brought him home for experiments (CCRP wanted his DNA so I’m assuming Hidgens would be excited to study that.) Also Ted seemed super into Hidgens’s Workin’ Boys pitch, I imagine him letting Hidgens go on huge explanations about it and just sits there with a hot cocoa. Is there a ship name for that? Is it still technically Tedgens? Idk
