You’re allowed to feel however you feel, and watch or not watch. Everything is valid.

But what Melissa said Eric was pushing for and what Eric himself has been open about wanting since before the season started, was for Chenford’s relationship to be messy. He didn’t want it to be smooth sailing and he wanted them to face struggles like a real couple. Melissa said they were surprised the writers took it that far.

But no one has ever said that Eric specifically wanted a break up. Nor has there been any implication that it’s what his wife wanted. You’re putting words in real people’s mouths.

There’s also no implication that Chenford won’t work their way back together. All Eric said is that he and Melissa still have fun scenes together and that there isn’t a ‘guarantee of anything, but it leaves it in a place where there’s stuff to talk about’ in the finale. That in no way sounds like the door is shut on Chenford. Obviously I don’t think they’re going to get back together by the end of the season, because there’s only 4 more episodes and they have a lot of work to do. But assuming the show is renewed for season 7, I can pretty much guarantee Chenford isn’t done.

Side note— If Eric or Roselyn truly did have a problem with Chenford and brought it forward to the show, The Rookie instagram page wouldn’t still have ‘#Chenford stan account’ in its bio.

This is the first tv show that I’ve ever actively participated in the online fandom side of things. I never knew all of this existed until I stumbled upon a critique of an Arrow episode on Twitter that led me here to tumblr.

I grew up before streaming existed. I’m older than Google and MTV and cell phones 🤭. I took a typewriter to college. 80s new wave music speaks to my soul - Top Gun came out my senior year in high school, not long after the Challenger Space Shuttle exploded. I also have an MBA in Marketing so I get how tv shows and cast members market the shows to get people in the seats.

Why do I mention this? Because my perspective is different than yours.

Oh my god, between here and Twitter, IG, tiktok, etc. I’m exhausted. I rage posted for almost 48 hours straight because of a fictional couple on a tv show. I have never been so intensely angry in my life - ever.

The show and Chenford have taken over my life and not in a good way.

At this point, I am unfollowing the fandom in Twitter, I’ve unfollowed the cast on TikTok and IG. I unsubscribed from podcasts that don’t get me to a better me.

I don’t want to see any bts, read any more interviews, see any more cameos. It’s all noise to me and I need to focus on me and get back to being excited about the show. Going in blind with no expectations, excited to see new stories (well, not Nolan being a dad again 🤢).

Back to your post - I read the same interviews you did. The cast comments about Chenford were all past tense. I didn’t see any sorrow or regret about the demise of the couple by either Mel or Eric. They both prefer angsty scenes. I didn’t see ANY hope expressed by either that their individual stories would lead them back to each other. Alexi has been silent - and I have never trusted him to do right by Chenford.

Eric has repeatedly said this was never planned for - meaning in the whole overall arc of the show this fan based couple threw a major wrench into the original story arcs for both characters. With Tim reverting back to tough guy Tim from the early seasons, I take that to be like a do over to redo the show the way Alexi intended WITHOUT Tim and Lucy as a couple.

So no, I don’t think they will get back together. Definitely not by the end of the season. I don’t believe Alexi - who was very vocal during the early seasons about never putting these two characters together - has any intention to bring them back to each other. Hopefully, he won’t treat Chenford like Dallas treated the whole Bobby Ewing death thing (making a whole season a dream).

Maybe I’m wrong, I’ll find that out by watching the show.

Hi, lovely anon! Yay, awesome that you are a CS shipper as well! There are so many reasons why I love Captain Swan and/or Killian.

But I guess the main reasons why I love CS or Killian are: Well, I love Captain Swan because I love the enemies-to-lovers trope, especially the way their relationship slowly developed. From the beginning, you can already tell how they were able to share a bit about each other. Caring about each other as people; Killian bandaging Emma's hand, Emma being worried about Killian being crushed by the rocks. In the end, I truly love their love, how they fight for each other, how protective they are of each other, and how proud they are of each other. They just depict a healthy relationship. LOL, there are too many reasons to be honest!!!

Now about Killian haha, the fact that Killian was able to bring Emma's walls down and gain her trust slowly. The way Killian keeps proving he is a man of honour, slowly wins her heart. He makes all these love declarations without expecting anything in return. And in doing so, Emma is usually the one who makes the moves, for example, initiating the first, asking him out on a date, and asking him to move in with her. I also like the fact that he makes an effort for her to look nice, especially for their first date. He comforts her when she needs him and doesn't take advantage of her. He loves her for who she is, even loves her walls. Killian is a feminist. Also, Killian did not only change himself for Emma but also for himself too. He is not proud of his past. Overall, what makes me love Killian so much is that he is a character we can relate to, he is not perfect, but throughout the show, you see many layers of him, and he keeps trying to redeem himself, transitioning himself from villain to hero.

This is a great question, thank you for thinking about this fic and being curious. So yes, in this timeline Priscilla and Lisa Marie exist. I kinda think that subconsciously, Becky's mom qualities (her reservedness/standoffishness bc she has a kid and wants to compartmentalize, the way she can just handle things, her playfulness (bc she plays with her daughter and is a fun mom), her own deserve to recapture some of her youth, and later to come - her nurturing side, her mothering side) these are qualities that endear her to Elvis, make him see her as a woman, stir an attraction and a bond with her as a parent and a lover and a nurturing partner. Linda also exists, though by this time she lives in the house Elvis bought her in Memphis, and he is also dating a few other women publicly (and more privately). Elvis doesn't really plan things out, but he is drawn to her, and is going to try to at first have her as another one of his regular side pieces..... but we'll see how that goes - first he was to win her over!

Czy w twoim AU Shamura tam jest mężczyzną czy po prostu to było niedopatrzenie.

Cóż, jak napisałam "Well, before he became the god of wisdom that Narinder knew (and when he was he, not them)."

Shamura w moim AU manipuluje przy swojej płci... daj mi chwilę policzyć... co najmniej dwukrotnie (ale chyba ostatecznie ze 3 lub 4 razy), aby ostatecznie uznać, że płeć jest konceptem pozbawionym sensu i całkowicie z niej zrezygnować. Od tego momentu określa siebie jako "oni". Bycie bogiem, prawda, daje dużo możliwości.

W regularnej fabule Cult of the Wrath (która dzieje się po pokonaniu wszystkich Biskupów), Shamura określa siebie jako "oni" po polsku, "them" po angielsku, fizycznie zaś jest obojniakiem. Pozostali Bishopi z przyzwyczajenia nazywają go między sobą bratem, jednak ogólnie starają się pamiętać o odpowiedniej formie, gdy zwracają się do Shamury. Natomiast Narinder, jako złośliwy ch*j perfidnie mówi do niego wyłącznie "on", kładąc na to wręcz nacisk.

Ten fragment jednak dzieje się na długo przed czasami Narindera. Jak można zauważyć, Heket jest tu jeszcze kijanką. Shamura ma za sobą pierwszą zmianę własnej płci i jest określany przez wszystkich jako wielki generał (on). Dokładnie rzecz ujmując, zmienił sobie płeć na czas wojny, z zamiarem przywrócenia pierwotnej, gdy tylko wojna się skończy. Powody czysto techniczne i dotyczące tworzenia dużej ilości wojska boskiej krwi :)

Ah yes! Sorry about the webtoon issue, I haven't completed the first 3 chapters to post yet lol

However, it's a fantasy story inspired by the isekai genre! It's got heavy themes about found family and growing past trauma/acceptance of yourself! Specifically it's about Peach (the protagonist) who gets taken into the fantasy world that still doesn't have a name lmao and learning to utilize magic all the while a cult begins to bring back an ancient queen to achieve their goals of limiting magic to 'only the deserving'!

They're interesting to think about, but I find myself not really focused on them in general. You see, I'm focused on Ford.

For those specific ships, I think Dipcifica is cute and is most canon, Mabcifica is another fun one though I don't like it as much, and wendip... no... just no...

Otherwise, my favorite ship is Fiddauthor. Maybe it's the fact that Ford is my favorite, but that ship's the one that drives me as wild as it gets over here.

I'm certainly not as fully into GF ships as I was in Henry Stickmin ships, let me tell ya (more like a specific rarepair, but that's beside the point lol).

How do you write good sex scenes?

I read smut a lot lol that helps. Try to copy what you like from other writers of fics and published novels. For instance, for Brittana I have read scenes from other authors that I thought were insanely hot and tried to replicate the writing style.

Maybe do a bit of general research into it too as there are some good “How to write smut” guides on this site and there are some good scientific articles about how women feel emotionally from sex as well. In general I would say reading a lot of it may be the best way.
