HE...
He sat at the very far side of the sofa. He watched as the older siblings played. He listened to their laughs, quarrels, and secrets. He shouted with all his excitement, "Want to play with me?"
He got up to use the bathroom He knocked on the door. The bathroom was occupied. He waited in the hallway. He listened closely to his parents conversation. He listened to the sounds of food being prepared. He listened to the laughter, fights, and footsteps.
He finally used the bathroom He sat back down at the very far side of the sofa. He watched as his siblings played video games. He watched as his mother cooked and cleaned. He watched the show airing on the television screen. He listened to the television. He listened to the conversations filling the apartment.
He watched his siblings eat. His stomach growled. "I'm hungry," he said. He still sat at the very far side of the sofa. He watched his siblings throw out food. He watched his mom eat the remainder of the food. He stared at the television. He heard silence. He got up and approached the garbage can. He opened the lid and ate his dinner. He listened to white noise.

The GIW succeeded in passing an under the radar law that described ghosts as non-sentient beings. Leading to the Government cracking down on Amity Park and capturing any ghosts they saw.
Danny saved who he could, telling them not to come back to Amity Park for their own safety. That being said, he couldn't save everyone, not as Phantom and especially not as Fenton.
He didn't like to think on it much.
Thankfully it seemed that Halfas had it a bit better than pure ghosts, being seen as semi-sentient due to their human half. But it still wasn't enough for his parents to think he was safe in Amity, so instead of staying in Amity Park they decided to move him.
Which proved to be a far faster process than they thought it would be, because his identity was leaked to the government, as for how they knew? They overheard Wes Weston trying to convince someone of his theory and ran with it.
So now Danny and Jazz had to be quickly relocated to Gotham, and yes, they love you Danny, but with his track record they need Jazz to act as an assurance he wouldn't go out 'heroing' and stay on the down low.
Jack and Maddie stayed behind to negotiate the Anti-Ecto acts.
Jack told the two of them to meet at this specific coffee shop in Gotham, because he already asked for someone he knew to come and pick them up, which confused them because who would he know in Gotham?
But, on the way to said coffee shop, Danny and Cujo (who Danny brought along because he was not leaving him behind in Amity of all places now.) was kidnapped by a giant crocodile man.
Right under Jazz's nose too. She only realized when she reached said coffee shop, safe to say she wasn't pleased. The coffee shop seemed to be entirely booked by one man, with multiple people acting as 'guards' so to speak, not that Jazz couldn't take care of them but she preferred to avoid violence if she could.
The person she and Danny were supposed to meet turned out to be one Oswald Cobblepot, otherwise known as the Penguin, a black sheep of the Fentinightingles and Jack's friend. (I CANNOT for the LIFE of me remember where I saw this idea, but if you ever come across this post know that YOU yes YOU were the one who helped the crafting of this idea)
Oswald: Where's the other one.
Jazz: A giant crocodile kidnapped him.
Oswald: Say what.
Meanwhile Danny got himself comfortable in the sewers of Gotham with Cujo as he stared up at a 9 foot tall man who goes by Killer Croc, who looks increasingly unsure, regretful and sorrowful of his decision to kidnap Danny.
Danny finds out that his actual name is Waylon Jones, and that the sole reason he was kidnapped was because he thought him to be his long-lost dead brother.
Danny: Oh so you're my dead uncle!
Waylon: Say what now-

I keep lingering on the fact that Chetney says that the only thing left when he came home was toys, because on its face it's such a strange detail.
He says it as though he feels like it was an indication that his family left the one thing that was associated with him, that he cared about, that he has essentially crafted his whole identity around, which indicated to him that they were left there because the family didn't want them—and by extension, didn't want him.
But what if there was something else? What if he'd misinterpreted? What if they were trying to leave them as a point of connection, like a coded note that they were thinking about him as they fled? What if a misunderstanding left Chetney alone for his entire life, and it was entirely his fault?
It's like, god, his confession feels so concrete (in a way that Travis is very good at when talking around backstory) such that it really starkly outlines what he doesn't say. And gnomes live such long lives that, yes, you could have relatives walk in and out of your life with some regularity and spend a lot of time independent and distant without ever severing the connection, and it doesn't feel like the circumstances in the family were so bitter that the family cared so little as to simply abandon him entirely, at least not without extenuating circumstances.
I just keep thinking about it and the more I think about it the more I want to know what happened, because there's something else there—but the thing is, a large part of Chetney as a character is that sometimes you do feel such resentment for so long that by the time you even think to reconsider, things (or people) have changed or passed, and there isn't always a satisfying answer to be had.

i'm worried you won't understand how much pevensie siblings are important to me. how many times when i watched it and me and my siblings went like: us. how this four nerds bring me so much comfort. how it was refreshing to see platonic love between family members on screen. how it was to have siblings as main characters. how whole narnia concept was perfect representation of yours imaginary world where you and your siblings or cousins were playing eternaly. and now you miss this world like a little kid

Some self therapy narratives to think about or ask yourself when you are stuck in an environment with toxic folks...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So it takes a very long time to change your mind to go from the left to the right. I can contest to it, that it took me years to understand, realize and change my perception. Before I started on this journey of self therapy, I used to feel exactly like the left side of those images. Thinking that I was the reason why they are treating me so badly. That it was a "me problem" and they weren't at fault at all. Until I realized it's the complete opposite. That they are projecting their own unhealed trauma onto me and expecting me to take it like a sponge. No more. I finally realized what it means to have a thick skin.
It does get sad, lonely, and depressing sometimes when I think about how numb I had to become to not let their words affect me, but that's the only form of self preservation I can see if I have to continue living in this toxic environment.
Does anyone have advice on how they figured out how to cope with people's toxic/nagtive behaviours, other than leaving the environment ofcourse?

What ain't wait, no, hear me out, Carmilla adopts Velvette and just. Nobody knoqs- not even Carmilla or velvette themselves
It takes an outsider, maybe Al- or Charlie, Angle would also be a good pick, pointing it out for them all to realize Velvette has unintentionally been adopted into their family dynamic
Honestly? Given Respectless? Canon-

What if the whole fam got together for a movie night in the Krang Prime au and watched Encanto, thinking it was gonna be a nice cute simple Disney movie only to find out their family relates to it to some degree
it would definitely...not end well
Kirby would relate to Mirabel a little too much
