I Think He Did It, But I Just Can't Prove It (Part 1/?)

A|N: This is based on the song "Nobody, No Crime" by Taylor Swift. I've been hearing her music lately, sorry about that, lol. Should I do this in parts? What do you think?

"About time you show up, Este."

"Better late than never," Este laughs. She hangs her coat on the rack and places her bag on the table next to the door. She makes her way to the kitchen and washes her hands. She then grabs the utensils and sets up the dinner table as I put the food on our plates. Her sister, Dani, grabs the wine and pops it open. The air smelling like fruits with an earthy aroma. The red liquid splashes into the cup, and Dani passes them to us. We clink our glasses and take a sip, the red liquid staining my lips. I cut into my steak, and I hear Este sigh. Dani and I looked at each other.

From the moment Este stepped inside the room, I knew something was bothering her. I put my knife and fork down and looked at Este as she looked at her food, avoiding eye contact.

"What's wrong?" I ask. "Before you say nothing, remember we've known each other for so long that I can tell the differences between your sighs."

Este looks up at us, and tears make its way down her plump rosy cheeks. She wipes them away and takes a deep breath.

"I think John is having an affair," she says. "I went to the pawn shop because I was sent a notification stating that the payment for the jewelry was successfully made. I asked, and they confirmed my suspicion."

Dani and I stay quiet as we let the information sink in. Este grabs her cup and downs the rest of the wine that was left. She slams the cup down, and her hands shake, blinking away the tears that threaten to fall.

"I think I'm gonna call him out," she said. "I have to tell him I know about his affair, and we should go our separate ways because I can't live like this."

She gets up from the chair and walks to the door with a bit of sway. Dani gets up and blocks the doorway to prevent her from leaving. I grabbed her car keys from her and shook my head, letting her know that she wasn't leaving, especially in the state she was in.

"Not tonight," Dani said. "You only had one cup of wine, but you're tipsy. You've always been a light drinker, and I'm not going to risk you hurting anyone or especially yourself."

"Dani is right, Este," I say. "You can go tomorrow morning. Just stay here for tonight."

"I have to end things with him," she cries. She drops to the floor, hugging her knees. We get on our knees and embrace her. After a while, she calms down, and we pull away from her to give her some space for her to breathe, but close enough so she won't dash to the door.

"You can do it tomorrow, Este."

She looks at Dani and then at me. I nod my head, agreeing with Dani, and Este nods. We help her up from the floor and make our way to the kitchen and pour more wine into our cups. After the night is spent with laughter, music, and more drinking.

"I'm home." Sunwoo sighed out, he ran his hand through his hair, dropping his bag down and removing his shoes. You walked up to him and smiled. "did my baby have a rough day?" He groaned and pouted looking at you. "Rough doesn't even begin to describe it y/nie." You smiled while sneakily made your way in for a hug, wrapping your arms around his waist. He chuckled. "I missed you." You nodded against his chest and sighed. "me too, love." Without Sunwoo noticing you slid two fingers through the belt hoop of his jeans and pulled him forward for a kiss. His cheeks went red and eyes wide. He was flustered. You pulled back after a while and smiled. "y-you!" He stuttered out and whined. You smiled. "I what?" He hid his face in your neck and huffed. "God. You're driving me insane." You hugged him and laughed. "oh am i? But I didn't even do anything." He stood back and looked down. "D-do it again." Your widened your eyes and chuckled. "OH?" You moved forward and poked his waist. "You liked it? didn't you?" He whined." Stopp....." He stomped to the dining room. "Yah! I'll do it again." You ran after him.

Pieces of Me

A|N: Sorry that it's taken me so long to post this, I feel like this one may be horrible. But I couldn't just leave this in my draft, and if I deleted it, it would make me feel like a failure? Anyway, I hope you guys like this story. I may or may not have shortened it 😅

On a Monday, I am waiting

Tuesday, I am fading

And by Wednesday, I can't sleep

Dark thoughts scratch at the floor of my mind. Dark thoughts telling me that I should never feel love, thoughts telling me that I deserve to be alone. Dark thoughts telling me that I shouldn't be in this world anymore and that no one can bare the sight of me. I bring my knees to my chest and hands to my ears to block out those taunting thoughts. Night three, once again, these thoughts refuse to let me sleep.

"Stop, please stop," I cry. But it's no use. They keep coming one by one, entering my mind and never leaving.

Then the phone rings, I hear you

And the darkness is a clear view

'Cause you've come to rescue me

I hear my phone ringing and see that Chan is calling once again. I dry my eyes and clear my throat to get rid of the evidence that I have been crying.

"Hello"

"Hey baby," Chan said. "Sorry of I woke you up."

"It's okay, I just finished my project for class, and I was just about to head to bed."

"Oh, what class?"

"For...uh... Psychology"

"Ohhh...wait a minute. I thought you said it was due last Monday?" He asks.

I stay silent, knowing if I continue to lie to him. 'He will eventually find out. He'll get mad. Trust me, he's going to leave you once he realizes how broken and useless you are.' His sigh snaps me back to reality and pushes the thoughts away.

"Baby, don't lie to me."

"I...I can't sleep."

"I'll be there in 5," he says. The line disconnects, and I sigh and run my fingers through my hair and start massaging my scalp. I moan in satisfaction, my mind at ease.

Fall, with you I fall so fast

I can hardly catch my breath

I hope it lasts

Knocking so fills the quiet apartment, and I peek in the eye hole. Chan. My baby, my lover, my everything, my Channie. I smile and open the door wide enough to let him enter. He smiles but soon frowns at the sight of my swollen red eyes.

"What's wrong?" He asks. I look down at the ground, but his hand goes under my chin and tilts it so I can make eye contact with him.

"I told you I couldn't sleep, remember?" I tell him half true. He frowns even more and sighs.

"Tell me the real reason," he says. I feel my heartbeat quickening, I take a deep breath and exhale, slowly letting the tension on my shoulders disappear slowly.

"A lot going through...my mind."

He nods and pulls me close to him. He wraps his arms around me and kisses the top of my head. I feel at ease in his arms, and I wrap my arms around him, squeezing him a bit. My heart feels so full of love. In his presence, no thoughts come to my mind, just happiness.

"Let's go upstairs, yeah?"

"Okay."

Oh, it seems like I can finally

Rest my head on something real

I like the way that feels

Than I ever knew myself

All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me

He leads me up the stairs and into my room. What was once ice cold is now replaced with Chan's warmth. He guides me to the bed and lays down, and holds me close. My head tucked underneath his chin, and my hands lay flat on his broad chest. I love how his comforting arms feel warm and protective.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?" I lift my head and smile. His hand held onto my cheek, and his eyes looked straight into mine to show how serious he was.

"Yes, I do"

He smiles and leans down to place a sweet kiss on my lips. He tasted like sweet honey, I never want him to pull away. But all too soon, he does. He chuckles as I chase after his lips. I chuckle as well. He rests his chin on top of my head once again. I can hear the soft melody of his heartbeat, and I feel my eyes close.

I am moody and messy

I get restless and it's senseless

How you never seem to care

When I'm angry, you listen

Make me happy, it's your mission

And you won't stop 'til I'm there

The next day, I'm awoken by the golden rays of the sunlight seeping into my room and onto my skin. I turn in bed, and Chan isn't there. I hear clinking downstairs, and I smile to myself. I head to the washroom and brush my teeth. I take off my shirt from last night and pull Chan's shirt over my head. I head downstairs, and Chan's making breakfast. His back faces me, and I could see his muscular shoulders flex with every movement. I make my way to him and wrap my arms around his waist.

"Good morning, babygirl," he said.

"Good morning." I plant a kiss on his back, and he smiles. "What are you making for breakfast?"

"Pancakes with a side of fruit."

I grab two plates and cups from the shelf. I put them on the table as Chan is grabbing the pan, placing two pancakes on each plate, and then placing some strawberries on the side of the pancakes. During breakfast, Chan tells me about his upcoming tour and how excited the boys and him are. I smile.

The day passed by quickly and evening has arrived. Chan and I decided to get groceries since my fridge was running low. He was pushing the shopping cart while I was placing the items I needed inside.

"I'm going to get the bread, I forgot I was out of some." I said.

"Okay, I'll be here debating which chocolate would be great for hot coco."

I giggled and headed towards the aisle. I grabbed the bread and then went back to where Chan was at. I turn the corner and see him chatting with a woman. 'Wow. She's breathtaking.' I make my way towards them, and Chan smiles at me.

"This is my girlfriend Y/N," he says.

"Hi," I say. She looks at me from head to toe and fakely smiles.

"Hi, nice to meet you," she said. "I was friends with Chan in highschool"

'She's beautiful. Don't be surprised if he leaves you to be with her.' Chan speaking brings me out of my thoughts.

"It was nice seeing you, Olivia," he says.

"Same here," she smiles at Chan and then looks at me with a cold stare. "Bye"

Chan smiles and guides me to the checkout. He scans the food and pays, and puts the food in the car. We get inside the car, and Chan drives us home. Chan parks the car in the driveway, and we grab the groceries. I open the door to my home and we settle the things on the kitchen table. Chan sighs.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"Nothing."

"Well, there must be something bothering you because you said nothing too quickly, and you've been quiet throughout the drive over here," He rubs his hand along his face. "Please tell me, babygirl."

"Who was that?" I mumbled.

"Baby, you gotta speak a bit louder."

"The girl, who was that?"

"She was in my class back in high school."

"She said you guys were friends," I snapped.

"I wouldn't say we were actually friends," he says. "More like acquaintances, which is not the same."

"Well, it didn't seem like it over there," I glared at him. "Seemed like you guys were more than friends."

Chan stays quiet and grabs my arm to turn me to him. He holds me close to his chest and nuzzels his face into my neck while leaving a kiss.

"Baby," he says. "She is just a classmate, nothing else. There's no need to get jealous."

"I'm not jealous."

He chuckles, "Whatever you say."

He tickles my neck with his nose, and I giggle.

Fall, sometimes I fall so fast

When I hit that bottom crash

You're all I have

I pull back from his arms and look up at Chan. He smiles at me, his dimple on display, the smile that I love and wish to always see on his beautiful face.

"Thank you for everything," I say. "I already know what you're going to say. I don't need to thank you because that's your duty as a boyfriend, but I need you to know that I appreciate everything you've done for me, Chan. You've done more for me than my own family. I love you."

"I love you, too, more than you'll ever know, my love."

He plants a loving kiss on my lips, and I melt into his touch.

I lay in bed with Chan watching YouTube videos. I sat in between his legs and rested my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. I smile and feel my body relax. His arms make me feel safe, as if no harm would come to me. When I'm in his arms, my thoughts go away immediately and are replaced with just him.

"You sleeping?"

"No, just lost in thought"

"Thinking about what, love?"

"You, us"

He smiled and kissed the top of my head.

"I sometimes wonder how it would be if we just moved in with each other. How would our future be, if we get married, and things like that."

"Well, one thing for certain is that I'm never letting you go, my love."
