"Callum is the first human in recorded history to use primal magic without a conduit."
Can we just talk about this real quick?
Before Callum, all of this was thought to be impossible. Humans just couldn't do magic without the use of a primal stone or, in the case of dark magic, a sacrifice. The Earth is round, the grass is green, and humans aren't capable of this☝️
And remember Callum has a photographic memory. Some of the spells above he learned earlier in the same episode or even on the spot.
We're so used to it at this point but it's not normal.
Not to mention not only did he successfully perform his first dark magic spell, he walked away corruption free and still more powerful.
Shit if I was Aaravos I'd want him on my side, too.
The startouch elf with Aaravos is apparently called “The Merciful One”.
My guess is that this startouch elf was the one who was able to convince Luna Tenebris to spare humanity, and to banish them to the west.
I know that the elf who convinced Luna Tenebris to spare humanity, is referred to as “daughter”. And this startouch elf is nb. But maybe the writers changed it?
Aaravos is kneeling down before the elf, and appears to be distraught. My assumption here is that Aaravos is begging the Startouch elf to convince Luna Tenebris to spare humanity. I think the elf took pity on Aaravos, and heard his pleas. Hence why they reach out their hand to Aaravos.
I don’t know about you, but hearing another elf’s plea about sparing humanity, and actually going through with it and succeeding is pretty merciful to me.
But I dunno, I could totally be wrong.
It’s possible that this startouch elf is someone else, and that they have nothing to do with the banishment of humanity or Luna Tenebris. Maybe it’s Leola for example. It appears that Leola isn’t an unicorn, but a startouch elf as well? But Leola, like Aaravos, has stars on their cheeks. And this startouch elf does not?
S2E5, Breaking the Seal, in reference to the Magma Titan
Aaravos, inspired partly by the Titan Prometheus, makes me feel some kind of way. I'm ready for the emotional journey the next few seasons will bring- in TDP there aren't monsters, only people.
Aaravos didn’t even need to to the whole ‚btw this is OUR baby that WE made TOGETHER and if you kill it you get to live!‘ spiel he literally could have told Viren ‚oh yeah that purple dude? kill him n u survive‘ AND HE WOULDA DONE IT
It's said that the deeper the bow, the deeper the respect.
But notice how Aaravos bows to Callum too.
Yes, Aaravos made Callum mimic his movements because of the possession, but they didn't do the exact same thing throughout the scene. When Callum was going to each person and saying their insecurities, Aaravos stayed still. When Aaravos sat in the chair towards the end, Callum stayed standing.
So Aaravos purposely bowed to Callum when he didn't have to.
Aaravos has some level of respect for Callum.
This could either work in Callum's favor or make everything 500x worse.
More of my old stuff from the subreddit. Bc I have nothing to offer right now I'm so sorry. And yeah I broke it lmao but was planning to make a new one anyway so it's fine
Ok so here’s three known Quasar diamonds right? Here’s my theories on where they are.
1. The key of Aaravos. I mean it makes sense right? there has to be something in there making the arcanum symbols glow. (also it being a KEY to aaravos prison so it must have some sort of star magic)
2. Virens Staff. The purple gem on it? yeah. plus its a gift from Aaravos himself, so giving a rare diamond to the humans plus teaching them how to do dark magic, not too far fetched i think
3. Aaravos has one with him in his prison. I feel like all three need to be brought together to free him, one in the cube, one in virens staff and one that he has or is somewhere else and will come into play later on maybe
