Linger II
Linger I
The mornings by the coast are cold, mists from the sea sweeping over them, soaking through their clothing and waking them before sunrise. With the days getting shorter, there’s no point in dallying, so they wash and eat breakfast quickly, at least another few days' hike ahead of them before they can hopefully get some actual transport.
She’s fiddling with those damn buttons again when he comes looking for her. It’s stupid really. She knows the weird tingling and numbness is worse in the morning, before she’s had time to stretch and get the blood flowing, but it’s like she has to test herself, to see herself fail. Poke and prod at the issue, the little ball of anxiety in the pit of her stomach unable to leave well enough alone.
“Can I help you with that?”
She jumps at the sound of his voice, much closer than she would have thought possible. When did he get so good at sneaking up on people?
Flushing, she looks down at her half open collar, changing hands in an effort to do it. “I can manage.” The angle isn’t good with this hand, but her fingers obey at least.
Despite her words, Callum approaches her anyway, his brow furrowed. He watches her struggle for a moment, then just smiles as he nods ever so slightly at her collar.
She shrugs and drops her hand, feeling herself flush as he steps closer to her and begins buttoning her tunic.
“I read about nerve damage,” he sighs, his eyes fixed on her buttons. “Apparently it can take years for things to go back to normal, but it can still happen long after an injury.”
She feels her pulse race at his words. Not at what he’s saying but at the implication he read about her condition and remembered what he learned. “Really?”
He nods, finishing buttoning but not stepping back. “Uh huh.” Callum smiles at her, wide and unguarded. “You’ll let me help until then?”
She laughs a little bitterly, shrugging. “What if it never goes back to normal?”
He shrugs, reaching for the hand in question and squeezing gently. “Guess I'd just help forever then.”

Tumblr media
“Are you alright, darling?” Aaravos asked, gently putting his arms around you, putting his head on your shoulder.
“Just worried. What if someone finds out about us?” You put your hand on top of his and turned your head to kiss him.
“If that happens I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe, even if it means giving up my own life” You fully turned and wrapped your arms around his shoulders.
“Please don’t” You pulled him closer to you and kissed him.
“Follow me” He led you out to the balcony, the only time you could really be together was during the night.
“The moon is lovely”
“Not as lovely as you,my dear”
“Any chance you can get huh” You laughed, giving him another kiss.
“I have something for you” He held your hand, using his magic to form a bracelet around your wrist. “I want you to remember that my love will be with you even when the moon is not,and someday we will be able to be together weather it be under the sun or the stars”

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: The Dragon Prince (Cartoon) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Summary:
A letter might be a good idea, is all. For Callum, and Rayla too. He does not want to be the king his father was, but it’s just paper and ink, and Callum had seemed some shade of glad to have Dad’s letter. Like it was a relief, maybe, to know. Maybe a letter from Ezran could help too, if his big brother comes back from Xadia and Ezran’s not here to greet him anymore.
(Or, the night before Ezran gives up his throne and is imprisoned, he decides to write his brother a goodbye letter. Just in case.)

Bittersweet reunions
pairing: Soren x f!reader summery: after you choose to join Callum, Ezran, and Rayla on their journey and travel the kingdoms so save the dragon egg, you finally get to see your best friend again, however the circumstances aren’t at all what you’d dreamed of.  a/n: so like, I binged tdp in like two days, maybe three. I’m obsessed to say the least, so ofc I had to write something for my favorite child of Viren! This is very much not edited so if there are grammatical errors I’m sorry but I’m only human… a very tired human. I’d give you an idea if what I’m gonna write next but I don’t know either! I am working my way through a very, very… very long Zuko oneshot however I have no idea when I’ll actually finish writing that so there may be more smaller ones coming in the future. I write when I feel like it, so there’s no telling tbh. I love all y’all, so please keep reading my shitty fanfics please *puppy dog eyes intensifies*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Is this the afterlife?” You had been sitting with Bait and Zym shining your sword when you heard that all too familiar voice from the other room. Your sword clattered to the floor and poor Bait, who had been snoozing next to you glowed a nice berry red color when his eyes opened to look around for the source of the noise that had so abruptly pulled him from his sleep. Zym was already on his feet, eyes darting between you and the corner. His tail wagged back and forth eagerly, tongue hanging out the side of his mouth. Your fingers ran across the smooth cloth you were holding, eyes wide and watery.
The blonde man, who had been staring at the boy king, whipped around when he heard a loud clatter from the room over. His hand fell to the hilt of his sword, the unknown spooking him more than normal. Sure, usually he would exude confidence, pretending he knew exactly what he was doing. But after what he seen? What his father had done? The unknown was terribly frightening now. His eyes were looking around wildly now, like a spooked horse. The others just watched him, unsure of what they could say or do to help ease his troubled mind.
You had left your sword laying there, too swept up in your emotions to care about it. You jumped up from the step you’d been sat on and flew around the corner, unable to compose yourself even slightly. Zym ran after, chirping excitedly. “Soren?” Your voice cracked when you finally saw him. He looked different, tired. The stubble on his chin made him look older, and there was no mistaking the sadness in his eyes that aged him even more. His shoulders were slumped, he looked troubled. Your heart hurt for him. It hadn’t been that long since you two last spoke but leaving him again nearly broke you. And now he was standing right there and it nearly left you breathless. “Soren, you’re here?!” You felt hot, happy tears well up in your eyes.
“(Y/N)?” The anxiety on his face melted away, being replaced with just about the brightest smile anyone had ever seen him have. His whole demeanor changed, it was lighter now and everyone could see it plain as day. Before either of you could say anything you sprinted forward, no hesitation at all. His arms were open as you barreled into him. You nearly would have knocked him over if it weren’t for huge dragon arm that had been there and helped him find his balance again. He was too overwhelmed with all his emotions to notice he’d needed the help. His arms wrapped you up in a tight embrace and all he could feel was relief. Relief because you were safe and sound and all in one piece.
His hand cupped the back of your head while the other remained around your waist. He held you as close as he could, as if he was scared you would disappear like the illusions that Lujanne had conjured up back on the Cursed Caldera. You gripped at the back of his shirt collar and stood on your tip toes in an effort to bring him closer. “I’m here,” he said softly. “And this time you’re not leaving me again, got it?” He pulled away from you and you nodded.
“Loud and clear, Captain,” you sniffled and smiled up at him. He looked you up and down attentively, just like he’d done every time you’d seen him. You looked exactly like you had the day you parted ways. Still so confident, the same kind smile that he fell in love with, your eyes still lit up like they did whenever you were really happy. The fact that you were smiling like that all because of him, it made him feel all kinds of warm fuzzy feelings.
“Erm… Soren, not that I’m not happy to see you but… why are you here?” You placed your hands on his shoulders and his face hardened. Your brows furrowed when all he could say was “we’re all doomed.” Rayla tensed up behind you and Callum frowned, neither knowing what to say. Soren just frowned, holding you as close as he could. This wasn’t like him, he’d never been eager to show so much vulnerability in front of people before, whatever he knew had really shaken him up. “Hey, let’s get you a nice hot cup of tea. Sounds good, yea?” You looked up at him again and he nodded, just glad he hadn’t been turned away by Rayla and the others.
“It’s my dad,” he sighed, gazing into his mug. He looked… sad. Oh, what had that horrible man done now? Callum was the first to interject. “Lord Viren, he’s here? In Xadia?” He suddenly looked anxious and Soren continued, not looking up from his cup. “He’s rallied the armies of four kingdoms. And it’s not just that.” You placed a hand on his shoulder and he leaned into your touch as he continued. “We went to the Sun Elf place and- and my dad, he stole some kind of horrible power. And he used it to transform his armies into….” You squeezed his shoulder and he closed his eyes with a frown. “Into something else.”
Rayla and Callum shared a look, both troubled and worried. You just listened, barely able to comprehend what you were hearing. You always knew that his father was very… abrasive. But you didn’t think he would do anything like this. “What do you mean?” Ezran looked up at him, he was apparently the only one brave enough to ask. Soren looked at him and licked his lips, as if the words would come to him that way. After a moment to collect his words he spoke again. “They’re stronger, angrier, big claws,” his eyes were wide and panicked now and it unsettled you. “He’s made an army of darkness! And he’s leading them here…” he looked ashamed but he nodded to Zym with a deep frown. “For him. The Dragon Prince.”
Everyone looked at one another, taking in the new information that Soren had just given. It was a lot, some of it was unbelievable, but with his father nothing was impossible apparently. The sound of tea slurping cut through the uncomfortable silence and you looked at Soren, he was unaware of everyone’s eyes on him and you just sighed. When he was done he looked at everyone again and shrugged. “I did use the word doomed.”
You had walked back to the other room and sat on the step. Zym had trotted along with you and curled up at your side as soon as you yourself were settled. Bait was already back asleep and you made sure you were being as quiet as possible when picking up your sword off the stone ground. “Hey, (Y/N)?” You looked up at Soren, he was standing in front of you with a timid smile. “Yes, Sor Sor?” You grinned up at him and he huffed at the nickname you’d been calling him by since childhood.
“I don’t think you can shine your sword without this.” He presented the cloth square you’d dropped in all the excitement of his return. You smiled at it and took it, dropping it in your lap. And before he could pull away, you grabbed his hand and pulled him towards you, your face soft with worry. He looked surprised, but he sat next to you anyway, not about to complain about getting to spend some extra time with you. He didn’t know why you would turn him away, but he felt like it was something that would happen considering he basically invaded Xadia with his corrupt father and his army. The two of you sat in silence for a moment, there were a million things racing through your mind and you didn’t want to overwhelm him. He was in the same boat, though you weren’t aware.
His hands were in his lap and he was looking at the ground when you spoke up. “I can’t say I’m surprised.” His brows furrowed and you hurried to continue. “I mean, I don’t mean it in a bad way! I’m not surprised that you left, you’re too good for your father and what he does. You have a better heart than him, that’s one of the things that I love about you.” You glanced over at him and he smiled a little, but it was a sad smile and you placed a hand on his shoulder. “You’re a good man, Soren.” Part of him didn’t want to believe you, after all he was at one point fully willing to kill the princes to please his father. He didn’t think that was something a good man would do. “As bad as the circumstances are, I'm still glad you're here. I missed you, more than I care to admit.” Your cheeks felt hot and he smiled at you.
“I missed you too. I didn’t exactly know you guys were up here so seeing you was a happy accident.” He scratched the back of his neck and you nodded quietly. “I didn’t even really expect you to still be in Xadia. You guys seem to work fast.” You giggled and shrugged. “We do work fast, but not that fast.” He nodded and kept on smiling at you. You smiled back at him and you felt something bump into your hand. You quickly looked down to find that his had been inching closer and closer as the two of you talked. Your face got hotter but when he rested his hand on yours you didn’t pull away. He was looking at you so you looked up at him and you just looked into those pretty blue eyes you loved so much. He intertwined your fingers with his and you couldn’t help but lean in. He met you halfway and pressed his lips to yours in an only slightly awkward kiss.
You weren't exactly sure what to do with your free hand so you just rested on his cheek and he did the same. You pressed on and scooted a little closer and he moved his hand to your waist. You heard Bait grumble from behind you and you slowly pulled away with a dreamy sigh. You were both red and you couldn't help but giggle at the look of awe on his face. “I never actually thought that would happen.” He sounded like he couldn't believe it and you just giggled again, too flustered to form actual words. “What?” he wrinkled his nose up a little and you just shrugged with a big dopey grin. “I liked it.” He nodded slowly and smiled yet again. All the two of you could do was smile or grin because you were just so simply happy with each other, despite all the bad that was going on at the moment. Without a second thought you kissed him again and he pulled you closer. You guys were just getting into the groove of it when you heard an awkward cough from the other side of the room. You pulled away quickly and saw Callum looking at you with a burning red face and a sheepish smile. “Hey, uh, we're all talking about what our game plan is… are you guys ready?” You both just nodded in unison. He nodded and hurried away to leave you two alone again. You quickly stood up and went to leave but he caught you by the hand and pulled you towards him.
“Hey, can you promise me something?” He wrapped an arm around your waist and you looked up at him with a questioning look. “Promise me you’ll make it back to me by the end of this, ok?” You nodded, despite your better judgment. Runaan had told Athari he’d be back and that didn’t end up that way. Anything could happen but still, you agreed and told him you would. “You better come back to me too, then.” He nodded and pulled you into another kiss, far more passionate than the previous ones.

THE MAGIC OF THE TRAILER GOT ME TO POST CHAPTER 2 OF THE ASTRONOMER AND THE MAGE AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF HIATUS
And also the fact that I'm not busting my butt for a Data Science degree anymore helped a lot
I really appreciate anyone who's sticking around for this. I hope to post the next chapter soon! For this chapter, both the original and SFW versions are the same since there's no spice. It will definitely come in the next chapter though! Lots of fun stuff planned for that ^_^

Ocean of red
The fragrant smell of blood and fear was not necessary for her to navigate her way in the dungeons of Lux Aurea. She'd walked those paths before, centuries ago, when wasn't titled The Bloodmoon Huntress just yet. Yes, back then, before becoming Xadia's grim myth, Kim'dael was a betrothed of the Sun herself. Back then, despite being considered unfit for the Sunfire queen's consort, she walked those paths with pride, hand in hand with Aditi, both holding her heads up high and basking in the light of her love. Now, Kim'dael was bound to the shadows, where she found peace and shelter after her heart had been torn out of her chest and irrevocably crushed. Since then, Kim'dael condemned the golden sun hanging above her. She couldn’t stand it's warmth or the feeling of its glow on her skin, for none of it would ever feel the same as the touch of the woman she'd lost.
Enveloped by the tender shadows of the sandstone halls, she moved noiselessly towards her destination. With each step, the smell of blood grew stronger, fueling her thirst and sharpening her fangs. She could already taste the familiar flavour of Sunfire blood on her tongue, but it wasn't the only thing she could feel.
Humans.
Those disgusting, weak creatures whose blood was good for nothing. Kim'dael winced at the memory of herself drinking human blood in the early days of her banishment when she'd been too weak to hunt for a proper meal that could fuel her body with both blood and magic. Humans had been an empty source of energy, sufficient enough to survive but not enough to live. And to think that some of them had pretended they could be mages. How pathetic.
She could never understand why Aditi had cared for humans so much. Why she'd spared them when their reckless attempts in playing mages had nearly destroyed all of Xadia and drained it of its magic. "Aditi the Merciful", they'd been calling her afterwards, but to Kim'dael, the woman she'd loved became "Aditi the Fool", unaware of the disaster she'd brought upon Xadia by letting that one orphaned mongrel go unharmed. But Kim'dael had her fault in this too, she could've stopped her from making such a reckless decision.
And now her Firefly was no more. But her blood, her sweet, sweet blood lived on, split between brother and sister who were falling apart, scrambling in the ruins of Lux Aurea like children playing in the sand and trying to grasp the sense of 'justice'. How amusing.
The Sun herself, she was just as foolish as her Firefly once had been. She believed in mercy, compassion and other absurd solutions to matters that should've been handled once and for all. As an assassin, Kim'dael knew that there were times when justice could not be denied. Where justice meant death. Karim, on the other hand, seemed to understand that aspect, but despite that fact, Kim'dael regarded him just as foolish as his sister. It was clear that his confidence and strength were just an illusion. Everything he showed on the surface was underlined with fear, so thick Kim'dael could practically taste it on him. And even though he thought he was smart, this elf was no leader but a weak, cunning coward.
What a waste of blood.
Kim'dael stopped in front of a trapdoor on the floor. She took a deep breath, her body shivering with anticipation for the blood she was about to consume. There was a real feast awaiting her down there. She opened the trapdoor without making any sound. After all those years, she still remembered the countless hours of her assassin training where she'd learned to become one with the shadows, remain unseen, unheard and undiscovered. Until she wished otherwise.
Standing in front of a grand door, she drew a glyph in the air. The illusionary droplets of blood fell into the ground and spread like liquid fire before bursting into a crimson cloud around her. She unseathed the blades that she carried on her back. She saw a movement in the corner of her eye - someone noticed her. It's time. She wet her crimson lips with the tip of her tongue. The Huntress didn't even let them point the spear at her before she began her beloved dance, her blades swishing in the air and slashing through the flesh, one by one.
She swayed to the sound of agonising choirs, twirled with the screaming voices and relished in the symphony of final breaths. The finest music to her ears, a morbid concerto fit for the greatest nightmare of Xadia that she was. Kim'dael was feeling alive, and there was nothing that could make her feel so alive as death did.
And so, she kept dancing, swimming in the ocean of red, red, red...

This is a shot in the dark, but it’s gonna bug me till the end of time- does anyone know why The Dragon Prince and the movie Batman and Superman: Battle Of The Super-Sons’ animation looks so similar????? Did they have the same people working on both projects?? I cannot find ANYTHING linking the two but the animation style looks almost identical and it’s driving me nuts

Better the devil
Callum clawed at the vines encasing him, desperate. Wild.
He had to get to Rayla. He had to.
She hung limp over Terry’s shoulder as he and Claudia rushed to the corrupted dragon awaiting them.
“No!” Callum cried out, wrenching his hand from the tangled web and hearing a number of sickening cracks. He’d freed himself enough to draw a rune, but his fingers wouldn’t obey him, wouldn’t extend to perform the magic. “Rayla!” He cried out, thrashing against the thick vegetation that held him firm.
Terry turned back to look at him, his eyes wide and terrified.
“Terry, hurry up!” Claudia grabbed him by the wrist.
Moment hesitation seemingly over, Terry climbed on behind her, Rayla still lifeless in his arms.
“No, no, no!” Callum continued to fight as the shadow beast began to beat it’s wings, pelting him with rocks and sticks. “No, Rayla!”
His breath caught in his throat as he continued to struggle. The vines around him seemed to grow tighter, strangling his chest, cutting off his air.
“Rayla!” He gasped, collapsing to the forest floor as the dragon gained altitude, moving above the trees, into the air… away.
She was gone.
He tried to draw breath, but his chest wouldn’t move, wouldn’t obey. Air caught in his throat as he tried not to think of Rayla at their mercy… a mere collection of parts to be catalogued.
Used.
“Callum!” Ezran’s voice somewhere behind him…
His vision was going black as his heart ached in his chest. They had her, they had her… He’d let them take her away.
“Get these off him.” Soren now.
Two sets of hands pulling at the vines wrapped around him but it did nothing. His chest seized, like it was trapped in a vice. He could hear his own strangled breath as he gasped for air.
“He can’t breathe!” Ezran cried out. “What did they do to him?”
“What sort of Dark Magic is this, Viren?” Soren’s voice was harsh, like it had been ever since Viren had shown up.
He’s the last person Callum wanted to see.
“This isn’t Dark Magic.” Viren’s voice sounded clipped as it moved closer.
Ezran gasped. “What do you mean-”
Callum lay in the dirt, limbs heavy and unresponsive. Oh Sources, Rayla. They had her. He let them take her away. What were they going to do to her? What did Claudia want with her? He needed to get up, go after them, save her-
“Callum, you need to breathe.”
He wanted to push Viren away, scream and rage at him. Hit him. Make the bastard hurt, like he was hurting now. His chest burned and his heart ached. This was all Viren’s fault, they took her, they had Rayla. If he’d just stayed dead they would never have ended up in this situation.
She would have stayed. They’d be together now.
He gasped again, a sob making it even harder to breathe.
“In through your nose. Out through your mouth.” Viren continued. “Breathe.”
He needed to help Rayla, he had to save her… he needed to breathe.
“That’s it.” Viren continued, and Callum became aware of a gentle pressure on his upper arm.
Slowly, he felt air returning to his lungs. His vision came back. Viren was sitting next to him, a hand on his arm.
“Good.” He smiled sadly. “Breathe.”
————
So, as usual, I feel I was enabled into this. More to come, perhaps? Callum & Viren teaming up to save Rayla and Claudia. Callum hating every minute of it? Mayhaps…

Pairing: Aaravos x Female!Reader
Slot: Mirror sex+Accidental stimulation
A/N:I’m no longer taking request for this bingo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was yet another day of Aaravos trying out new magic spells, you were fascinated by his magic. The only thing that bothered you was how much time he spent on it,leaving him with little to no time for you. You were getting irritated, but you thought of a plan. You knocked on his door before entering.
“I brought you some water, maybe you should take a break” You tried to persuade him, luckily he agreed, took the cup and sat down. Your plan was already working,he set the cup down and you immediately sat down on his lap.
“Did you need something,darling?”
“Yes actually,I want you” You pulled him towards you and kissed him. His arms wrapped around you as you deepened the kiss. It was just supposed to be a simple kiss but before you realized what was happening he had you pinned against the mirror. “Aaravos”
“What,I thought you wanted me. Am I too much for you?” He teased, turning you around to face him. Pressing the cold mirror against your back.
“No,I want you. harder and faster” Something seemed to snap inside him the second that you said those words and he grabbed you harder. You reached out to touch his face and pulled him close to kiss him. Your hands tangled in his hair as he moved faster, you hands gripped his horns, making him moan louder than you’ve ever heard before. He seemed to snap and his pace turned brutal, making you grip his horns harder. “Aaravos” Suddenly you felt something soft against your back and quickly realized that you were in his room,in his bed with him on top of you. He gave you a second before he grabbed your legs and pulled you closer, before he started thrusting again. Leaning down,he kissed you. You quickly grabbed his horns yet again.
“Playing with fire today, aren’t we darling?”
“Maybe I like danger”
“If you didn’t,you wouldn’t be here”

Lunation - Chapter 4 - The Council Meeting🌗
“Xadia,” Rayla began, “is huge. Vast. Bigger than anything you could comprehend in the human world. It’s mysterious , and expansive . It could take years to comb through - I would know, I tried .” Out of the corner of her vision, she could see Callum turn his face towards the windows, but she continued. “If there is a lead - any direction , even if it is a goose chase - we should take it. Even if the path would lead us to cross Claudia once again - it’s at least something .”
Ezran opened his mouth to respond, but a noise interrupted. A guttural cough - or really, a rather loud scoff - came in the direction of Callum. Rayla caught the young mage continuing to look away, shaking his head.
Rayla felt the prickly, searing heat move up her face as she watched Callum behave so dismissively. Though before she could respond, Ezran calmly asked, “Do you have something to say, Callum?”
Callum’s tired, red-rimmed eyes narrowed as he turned his gaze upon his brother. “Only that Rayla could have maybe told us this when we were heading towards the Sea of Castout and not back here .”
Immediately, Rayla balled up her fists in agitation, but bit back her words. At that very moment, she wanted nothing more than to give Callum a fair crack in the head with the hilt of one of her butterfly blades, but instead, she silently willed herself still. Now is not the time, Callum, she mentally pleaded, realizing he was lashing out due to another unresolved conflict.
But Ezran’s eyes narrowed too, and the brothers aptly stared at each other. “ I am the one who decided to come back here, not Rayla.”
Yet Callum wouldn’t back down. Now he focused his gaze toward the elf, and Rayla felt her face grow even hotter. “But should we really be listening to someone who ran around without leads for nearly two years?”
And it was like the world went red .
Rayla slammed her fists on the table, causing nearly every Council member to jump from their seat, and even Bait to let out a surprised grump .
“You know nothing ,” the elf growled, “about what I was doing - about what Viren's already done , and who else he could have hurt .” At this, Rayla felt a heaviness weigh down in the depths of her pockets.
The secret sack of coins - each holding a family member that she loved - felt heavy and burdensome, like a forbidden treasure hidden within the fabric of her civilian clothes.

Years ago in xadia, on the night of a meteor shower. A traveling group of elves stopped to watch the cosmic display. Then a bright light shined from deep within the wilderness, catching their attention. In the direction the shower was going. Following the light they found a beautiful purple starry dragon egg. The moment they picked the egg up where it sat, the shower ceased. Perhaps the meteor shower was a result of the egg's appearence, or maybe the stars tried guiding someone to it? But none of them had ever seen a Star Dragon egg before. Not knowing what to make of it. The group brought the egg to a place known as the Star Scraper. Where the celestial skywing elves reside. The celestials were stunned upon the discovery of a Star Dragon egg. They housed vast histories and records. But none could find any confirmed evidence of any Star Dragon in Xadia, past or present. If there was no known record existed. They wondered with this egg's appearence was a sign. Good or bad, it was impossible to say. The elders decided to hope for the best and protect her egg. Everyone who knew of her egg was sworn to secrecy. The presence of a Star Dragon egg is unheard of. As star magic is the rarest and most powerful of the primal sources. The celestials feared what others might do if they knew of it. Dark mages might seek it's untold power, other elves could fight and insist on defending it themselves. Only the dragon king and queen were told of the egg. For years the starry egg was kept safe and secret in the Star Scraper’s Catacombs.
Then came the day King Avizandum met his end, and the egg of the Dragon Prince was thought destroyed. In such a dark time the elders wondered if the egg's coming from the stars was to fill the void left by the king and prince. But how to hatch a Star Dragon, they did not know. it could've been decades, even centuries before the egg could hatch. Luckily only 2 months had passed, and a single star came down from the heavens and struck the egg. The celestials watched in awe as a spiral of magic danced and swirled around the egg. Then after a flash of light the egg cracked. A purple starry female dragonling emerged from the egg. The celestials decided to bring her to Queen Zubeia. Wondering if perhaps the stars foresaw the king and prince's demise and sent her egg to help. For her to hatch soon after could not have been a coincidence. Maybe she could be the new heir to the dragons. Being a star dragon she could have great power and potential to be a strong leader. It also doesn’t help that her colors have always struck them as regal. Zubeia however was still in mourning and was not engaged into the idea. But she accepted their idea. They decided to name her Regina Pulsara. Although when the Dragon Queen became sick and dying. They worried as Regi still had great deal of growing to do before she could ascend as queen. Of course the Dragon Prince was brought back alive and well, and Zubeia recovered. Regi was no longer desperately needed as the next heir. The celestials decided to bring Regi to the Storm Spire to meet Zym. The two dragonlings became fast friends. It was great that Zym would have a friend his size and age to play with when Ezran couldn't be around. Although given the previously presumed instability on the dragon monarchy. The celestials talked with Zubeia that for the next leadership of the dragons. It would be reassuring if a king and queen would succeed her. There is no arragnement or betrothal set. But Zym and Regi do have PLENTY of years ahead of them for their friendship to grow and become close.
Regi has lived at the Star Scraper her entire life. With her existence still of great secrecy. Regi is restricted to the underground catacombs during the day, and is only allowed out at night strictly within their sight. She has been made aware plenty of times of her rarity and why she must stay secret. As a young dragonling she is very playful. Regi loves to stargaze and see the heavens from which she came. She also loves the other primal sources. She sees the moon as a friend to the stars, as they take turns shining in the night sky. In the sky they shine, the sky was considered the heavens as well. The sun is a star itself, just close up. The ocean is like the sky but down to earth, it shares whatever color the sky is and reflects the stars. The earth isn't the most corresponding of primal sources with the stars as she saw. But the earth had fireflies. Creatures she loves, seeing the insecets as flying stars on earth. Regi also loves music. Whatever they might play at the Scraper, she'll either be dancing around, or be being put down relax and sleep. She can be rebellious and manages to covertly sneak out of the Star Scraper at night. Although Regi is usually happy and healthy. Sometimes during her stargazing the celestials notice her watching the stars, in tears. For she was lonely. Being the only known Star Dragon, she wondered what it was like for the stars to be surrounded by so many others like each other. Regi would relish on the day she would meet another star primal. A dragon, an elf, cuddlemonkey, unicorn, even a starweaver spider. Any at all would make her overjoyed. Minus a certain fallen star. Regi would be more than happy to finally be allowed out into the vast world and see the lands the stars see every night. Also more reason to hang out with Zym. It won't be confirmed for some time but maybe, just maybe Regina Pulsara could be the next queen of the dragons.
Regi will become a powerful archdragon when she grows. While most of her is still a mystery. Some of her magical powers have already come. When someone is tired or in need of strength, she can place her paws on them and transfer energy to them. Giving them a magical or physical boost. That's why they gave her the name Pulsara. Regi can also see glimpes of the future, though see has little control over it. Sometimes when she touches someone or something, when she dreams, or even randomly in the day. There's also her cosmis breath. At night it’s hard for her to get lost, as if the stars tell her where to go. Regi can at times also tell what others are thinking or feeling. Her most recently gained power is portal making like Stella, she's no where near mastering yet though. When using star magic her eyes change and shine to look like stars themselves.
This is her as a dragonling during the first saga. An art of her for the Mystery of Aaravos will be released soon.
Regina is Latin for The Queen.
A pulsar is the opposite of a black hole. When a Star dies it can become either one. A Pulsar sends out while a black hole sucks in.
