it's been a while, was last month the last time? (if you get that butchered reference i will give you a cookie and a hug)

yes, yes it was. i just kept on forgetting to talk about my week. not that i blame myself for that, i have been majorly stressed out about it all. college has been ramping up as it comes to a close, not for the final time but it is my end of year show of a chorus line! it will be a singular sensation for sure. i'm worried about forgetting my lines so rehearsals have happened a lot. a lot. almost every night with a friend or another. i've met some new friends because of it which is wonderful.

not being off book is always so frustrating but i have worked my hardest to make sure i will be as off book as i can, especially with the prospect of my brother coming to watch me! i don't know who else is watching, i hope we get a good turn out. i did invite some voice acting friends i have but they were busy, it sucked but obviously i understand!

i found out today i like coffee, oat milk makes it taste nice. i enjoy it. it gives me a lil kick, should i say. i hope to find some of the drizzles and shit you can make starbucks drinks with to make a nice drinks with less of a cost, i'm just trying my best to broaden my drink horizon so i am not just drinking tea all day. if you have any suggestions that'd be awesome! especially ones i can make at home!

today i uploaded a new youtube video of the finale of sitting in a tin can i'd appreciate it so much if you'd watch it.

when it comes to my japanese studies things have been going well. my tutor says i am taking to it well which honestly made me feel so happy! though admittedly i have been having those weird feelings of wanting to study everything at once but i know i can't. so i am trying my best to focus on the things i can study and know that studying will help me and not be too overwhelming and unless something major happens my focus will be on japanese and writing!

i'm trying my best that's all i can say.

lately: enjoyed my beautiful town in the sun and reviewed two plays for the student magazine, which is a great outlet for the part of my brain that wishes I was still studying humanities

17.02.24 Saturday aesthetic

Not the most productive but really good day.

• 1h 56min on Forest 🌳 Completed my material science assignments and a part of physics homework.

🎥 I’ve started to watch “Beyond Evil” and I’m totally hooked. I binge watched the first 6 episodes and I had to make some mental effort to actually switch to doing at least some of my homework lol

I also went to see Jekyll and Hyde at my uni theatre. I volunteer at the scene shop, so I get free tickets to all of the performances. Which is very very nice actually. And it is always so cool to know that it is me who painted these benches that are now on the stage *internal satisfaction* It ended up to be a musical and it was absolutely amazing ✨

you romanticize the theatre rehearsal– you love the idea of bloodied shakespeare traded from desperate palm to desperate palm, you dream of the sweat dripping from a dancer's brow like the sun glinting off the sea, but in between all of this imaginary want, you miss the whole point.

you miss the clutter of foldable tables holding laptops and open scripts and the rind of an orange, four empty water bottles and six uncapped pens. two rings of keys and one folded up piece of my notebook paper that represents a letter prop. you miss our running document of silly things people have said in the heat of the moment and you miss the hundred clarifying questions that are asked. you miss the hunger in everyone's eyes, the want, the need, the lust. the unspoken something between my eyes and the boy i love to make laugh– you miss the way he's like that with everyone who has the pleasure to come him across, and i can't bring myself to particularly mind.

and you know what? you do miss the bone-chilling scream of a man who's eyes are ripp'd from his traitor skull (the vocal-conscious yell of a grad actor with voice and speech tomorrow morning), the sharp lines drawn between two bodies moving against the grain of a tango. you miss the magic that settles in-between the creased brow of a determined designer and you miss the silent cheering folded behind a heavy black curtain when the tricky scene change goes exactly as we put it to paper. you miss it. you miss everything, when you aren't here.

but tonight, i'm here, and i'll explain exactly what it all means. i hike my skirt up above my calves and i swiftly collect the rehearsal props littered around the room; someone yells "I'm not a fucking liar!" and we're supposed to be running King Lear. the animosity from blind father to vengeful son never bleeds into our equity 10-minute breaks. we all tune in, for just a moment, and we all feel the same damn thing run through our bones. it's the same, it's the same, we're the same. we to you to me to us to them to zip to zap to zop.

today i worked on: math project (one graph, no characteristics; cover), biology project, drama script

grateful for: my biology partner putting up with my bullshit!! when i'm studying i like to reward myself with coloring breaks, and usually it's stuff for projects. so i tend to have really elaborate poster boards. she's bringing me a bunch of scrapbooking supplies to put on it ehehe

sotd: tchaikovsky's child's song from the soundtrack of preludes

had a solid 2 hours of work time today :) have more math to work on, but that's alright, i have a week for the project and i'm making decent progress

I got my assignment results: 38points of 40 possible! I am honestly just happy I passed with such a good score! Super nervous for the upcoming exam this month.
