One second he was somewhere between life and death--he remembers the echo of the snap and the sensation of fire trailing through half his body, remembers hearing unrecognisable voices, speaking directly through his ears; overlapping whispers that clashed atop and over each other--and the next second, he's alive.

The first thing he notices when he wakes up is the arc reactor on his chest. The second is the gauntlet, still fully intact on his hand, quickly followed by a sense of panic at both its presence and the absence of the stones on it.

Did the snap work? Was Thanos defeated? Did something go wrong?

"Boss?" a familiar voice says to him tentatively.

"FRIDAY?" he says, shocked at his own voice and how he's still able to speak. "What... How did... What the fuck happened?"

What follows is an almost hesitant pause from FRIDAY.

"I'm not sure," is what she says eventually, "It seems you've somehow survived, Mr. Stark."

Tony cards a hand through his hair. He looks down at his chest, and the arc reactor lodged deep in it like it had once before. Carefully, he lifts his fingers towards it, feeling the cold metal.

"It..."

"It seems you have the arc reactor with you, boss." she points out the obvious, "I detect a very high energy signature from it."

He frowns.

"Higher than it was before?"

"Yes."

Tony pauses, wills himself not to panic, and forces his mind to think.

The next thought that goes through his mind is strong and loud and incredibly definite, like a large neon sign with multiple blinking, lit arrows pointing at it: Doctor Strange. The wizard is the only person who could explain what happened, if the snap is reversed, if everything they've been through worked out in the end, and of course, the billionaire dollar question: how the fuck he's still alive right now.

It was an almost unconscious reaction as he tries to call upon his armour, and is relieved to find that his suit still exists.

What happens next feels like a blur of events more than anything. He doesn't exactly remember what happened other than a sense of desperation that he needs to get to Strange as soon as possible. He remembers getting directions from FRIDAY, and the almost dangerous speed he was flying in with his suit, but once everything is over and he reaches his destination, all those details seem irrelevant.

Tony stares for a moment at the building in front of him, the sense of desperation spiking up tenfold.

He knocks at the door.

If you told me 10 years ago that we weren't alone, let alone you know to this extent.. I mean, I wouldn't have been surprised. But come on, you know. The epic forces of darkness and light that have come into play. And for better or for worse, that's the reality Morgan's going to find a way to grow up in. So I thought I'd probably better record a little greeting, in the case of an untimely death on my part. I mean, not that death at any time is timely. This time travel thing we're going to try and pull off tomorrow, it's going to scratch my head about the survivability of it all. Then again, that's the hero gig, part of the journey is the end. What am I even tripping for? Everything is going to work out exactly the way it's suppose to. I love you three thousand."

Plot:

As of this moment (27.7.23) the plot hasn’t been decided, but this is where it gets fun. We’ll keep it loosely based on the events of the MCU from 2012 onwards. That does not mean we’re going to stick to every single event that happens from that point forward. What does this mean? It means you can have your character be present during an event they were never a part of. Example:

- Marc Spector! joining The Avengers in the Battle of New York!

- Bucky Barnes meeting The Avengers before Civil War!

- Loki assisting The Avengers defeat Ultron!

And much more cool stuff like this. The sky’s the limit.

Ideally we want to have the OG6 be present before starting the role play. Taken characters have been crossed out:

What about if you play literally any other character? Fear not! You can definitely join. We want you to join!

Ideally, we don’t want super overpowered characters because it’s going to make it not fun. We’re huge huge fans of the NMCU and the Brooklyn area (Hawkeye/Moon Knight etc) so if you play someone from there, that’s amazing.

Note: we don’t knock down rare pairs or rare friends. Some of our rare pairs are crazy, you wouldn’t see them anywhere else. You will never be judged no matter who you ship (provided they’re of age and it’s consensual)

tl;dr whoever you play, please bring them over

We encourage you to be a nerd! What the heck does this mean?

Share your character headcanons with us. Share headcanons about other characters with their admin. As long as you’re respectful of everyone’s take on their characters and don’t judge the headcanons themselves, nothing is more fun than sharing your own takes

The rakes can be deep and well thought-out or they can be cracky. You’ll probably find things like:

Sometimes the color blue triggers Clint’s fight or flight response now or Natasha Romanoff is an avid fan of Megan Thee Stallion.

We also strongly encourage you to discuss the relationship of your character to others. I.e. how much have they been present in each other’s lives? Since we don’t stick to a certain timeline, have they crossed paths with each other when it’s not canon? These discussions build a richer in-character interacting experience. Do your characters have inside jokes? Have they been on a mission before that ended HorrificallyTM?

Availability

People have lives. It’s best to set some time to noting down when you might be free on a day you’re roleplaying but only with your rp partner. Talk to them, establish if they even want an update on whether or not you’ll be available. Just understand that writing and rp is something we do to unwind and have fun; it’s a hobby not a chore.

Tony stepped out onto the party deck and surveyed the room.  The party was in full swing, full of Avengers, Agents, and plenty of hangers on, hoping for their chance to touch fame.

He pushed his sunglasses up.  He wore red lenses to hide the red in his eyes.  It had been something he learned a long time back, and now they were a signature piece that he was able to hide with his playboy look.  It was getting harder to hide his true nature these day. With all the supernatural stuff in the world coming out, the fact he was never seen in the daylight was hard to explain, but thankfully he had his armor to protect him now.  As far as he knew no one knew, and he planned to keep it that way. 

He spotted the new meat, Layla at the bar with Clint and Natasha.  The two had been sharing a flirtation since she joined and while he knew he couldn’t take it further without risking her finding out what he was, but it was still fun to play along.

“Enjoying yourself?” he asked as he sidled up to her.
