welcome to "jewel had a very stupid idea for an au" part uhh..i dont even know! anyway, so this is UVtale or basically the au where everyone is neon colored because the underground is literally covered in eternal darkness and everyone gets lost...most of the time at least. which is why sans runs a search team! to search missing people! and chara's there too and they are like siblings how neat..if only papyrus was there as well..

anyway so frisk falls down and they are just a little guy who wants to (literally) bring back the light into this (very doomed) world oneshot style! through the power of determination..i wanna make some more designs for this and maybe write a lil story out of it who knows omg,, anyway

[Would That Make You Happy?]

I split this part in half, so it's a short one.

Discovered I like drawing piggy back rides. I need to draw more Mettaton too. I think it would benefit everybody.

For this comic, Alphys was made Gaster’s assistant after she made Mettaton’s Neo form. After Asgore fights Cyan and Orange, he regrets it, and gives their souls to Alphys to try and put them in robots (not knowing MTT is a ghost), and then Alphys makes Flowey while Purple is captured. Flowey messes with the timelines, but the souls are guarded by Sans and Gaster temporarily. Gaster vanishes later making Alphys head scientist… All in a very cramped time period! Different from what I think is canon, but that's what happens when you want Flowey, Gaster, Mettaton, and Alphys present in a prequel story lol.

As a big fan of the Fallout show (and an even bigger fan of Undertale lol), I couldn't help but notice some very interesting parallels between Barb and Asgore:

A) They love and care about their family very, very much, so much that it ultimately ends up being the reason they do the horrific things they ultimately do. Barb did those things to protect her family from tragedy, while Asgore did so to avenge a tragedy.

B) Ironically, what only adds to their respective tragedies, in attempting to do (what they think) is best for their family, their actions only end up damaging their family as they drive a wedge between themselves and their spouses. Toriel becomes embittered with Asgore for seeking to destroy humanity, and Cooper becomes embittered with Barb for succeeding.

C) Although they still fully commit to the atrocities they're guilty of, it brings them an unfathomable degree of heartache, pain, and regret. They do the things they do not because they believe it's the best choice but because they believe they have no other choice.

D) Despite wielding a great deal of power and influence in their position, it's a prison for them. Neither of them can't just simply escape or walk away. If Asgore abdicated the throne, it would mean leaving his people unavenged and without hope for freedom. If Barb left her position at Vault-Tec, it would mean leaving her loved ones at the mercy of the bombs (or worse, Vault-Tec themselves.

E) Although they are both far from being good people, they still have an EXTRAORDINARY amount of complexity and nuance, which makes it all the more disappointing when I see fans mischaracterize/demonize them.

And only Frisk can “revive” everyone again, turning them into their more canonical versions through care, communication and support

Toriel is an alcoholic who drinks away all her regrets about past mistakes. By drinking herself into unconsciousness, she poses a certain danger to others, and therefore the inhabitants of the ruins have to avoid her.

At her core, Toriel is still a caring mother who wants the best for her child, but her mind is clouded by alcohol and self-hatred.

But perhaps a small sign of love can make a difference?

Don't be super excited because there's a chance this won't be produced at all considering people who volunteer will do this free, no one will be paid before, after or during production. No exceptions either.

Chances are, this could be bad, I don't get enough volunteers, or some drama will happen and production will need to be halted, or (and knock on wood) put on hiatus indefinitely.

Personally, I prefer the youtube series, but I want to give people an option as to what they want from this, because as much as it's mine, it's also something you'll be taking the time out of your day to enjoy. So choose wisely.

Pros for series on Youtube:

Each chapter will be a season, meaning there'll be multiple episodes

(Hopefully) voice acted

Animated scenes(?) (Hopefully, I'm not an experienced animator, so someone will need to volunteer to help with that)

The weird route/snowgrave route will be adapted into a comic later

Cons for series on Youtube:

No series for the snowgrave route/weird route

Each episode will take some time to be made

Unfortunately, there won't be a satisfying clip or those rainbow bouncing balls beneath the video to stimulate you

Delays in production due to my life being busy and this being free access

Production will take some time

Pros for game:

Gameplay

Full game play of chapter 1 will be completed

More difficult game play due to this being a "hard mode" au, if you're someone who enjoys a challenge

Both the pacifist and weird route/snowgrave will be made

Cons for game:

I'm not experienced when it comes to writing story for games, expect there to be a lot of mistakes, especially for a game as detailed as Deltarune

Production will take a while

Again, delays in production due to my life being busy and this being free access

I'm not a modder, so I just need to get lucky and hope someone who knows how to mod will volunteer, chances are, the game won't even be made. But I'm just leaving this option out here.

“Sans doesn’t fight you except in true genocide because he’s lazy” counterpoint, he knows fulls well it’d just be easy to Gaster death beam you in Snowdin or the first time you kill when you’re still low on HP, but he takes the route that’s more work of giving you a chance and following you around because of the promise he made to Toriel.
