Ok so you guys have probably noticed like, a long time ago, but I have nothing else to post that I've archived from Sun's past TOTG content, so this blog will become a reblog blog basically. I don't remember if this happened on the incorrect quote blog or here, but someone found out that TOTG was brought back through one of them. So I'll be reblogging stuff just in case someone comes back to this blog without knowing that the series is back so that they can follow the official blog.
Anyways AYUP LADS AYUP!!!

Book of the Week No.29 Paper Towns by John Green Rate: 10/10 Favorite Line: "Every moment of your life is lived for the future." Review: Written by John Green and first published on 2008 by Dutton Pub, 'Paper Towns' is a YA (somewhat mystery) novel that follows Q's romantic feelings for his childhood neighbor Margo, a mysterious girl who embraces life without inhibitions. So I believe, John Green is once again successful on creating a meaningful literary piece. I love the central concept of this novel and this is how I get it— someone's display of character depends on the other ones who perceive it. We expect a lot to a person that we end up deceiving ourselves by assuming what we thought they are. These expectations are deemed doubled especially when we like a person or for our loved ones. John Green represented these on this book. For me, this is true and we all need admission to this fact. I also loved how Green created Margo for a character. Mystifying, personal, cheerful and outward. She initiated this idea of paper towns that runs the whole premise of the novel. So when Margo disappears, Quentin follows a trail of clues to discover the true meaning of 'paper towns' and 'paper people.' And that's it, Q's special adventure for his lifetime. Also, Whitman poems!!! Ugh. I even bought the Canterbury Classics edition of it for honor of this book. It just comes into my mind like how does John Green exert so much time and effort to read and research other literature to use as a device for his own story. Overall, it was a straight re-read. John Green never fails to offer a bookful enjoyment. Eyes huge, so little left, if something
Cracks and clues, he's crazy as a straw
Why, denied, does no one care or nothing?
How, you ask, I ever last so long?

“hero’s shade in TOTG” what’s TOTG? 👀
Tomb of the Gods!!! It’s a fake Zelda game Ive been coming up with. If you check my “tomb of the gods” tag, there’s a bunch of art and lore and such :)))
The land of hyrule, divided into the sky, surface, and underground, has been at peace ever since the previous hero saved it long ago, before vanishing suddenly. But somethings wrong. Monsters are showing up, branches of the deku trees are breaking, and lake hylia, resting place of the physical body of goddess hylia, is becoming toxic. Link and Zelda have to work together to open the tomb of hylia, and figure out what’s wrong with it.
The Hero’s Shade in totg is not the same as the Hero’s Shade in Tp. Rather, the last hero, the one who disappeared, lost so much on his journey, that he became incredibly bitter with hylia. After doing research, he found that this was a pattern, and that he and Zelda have always just been pawns. This bitterness and hatred consumed him, turning him into the hero’s shade, a monstrous shadow of a former hero, kept alive only by hatred. This came to a head when it tainted the tomb of hylia, corrupting the lingering divine essence to create the Mass, a collective of faces stolen from those who were “favored” by hylia and suffered for it
It’s ultimate goal is to cause so much suffering and imbalance that the Three themselves are forced to return to hyrule, and then hopefully punish Hylia. It’s the final boss, and it can only scream in mindless rage. This rage is the only thing keeping it going, and it knows it. If it were to stop being angry, forgive, or be forgiven, it wouldn’t be able to keep living. It is an agonizing existence. I think it finds peace though, at the very end of it all.
These are the two main pages of concept art I did for the Hero’s Shade
I’m sorry anon, you asked a simple question and I gave you wayyy too much lore lmao. If you’re interested, I LOVE this idea and you should ask me more questions :) but also if you check out my tomb of the gods tag, which i will tag this post with, it has the stuff I’ve already posted abt on here, like several pages of concept art type stuff, and just like. Information :)
