It's sad that there are YouTubers possibly afraid of criticizing hazbin because of possible harassment that might happen
I just saw harriyanna hook's video and she put THIS in the comments
Tumblr media
There should be no reason YouTubers feel the need to say something like that

Nah I did Not just see a but load of comments on the Mercedes F1 official facebook account saying the only reason why GR wanted a red flag was so he could keep his track position. Like be fucking for real. Now GR isn’t one of my favorites but one thing I do k ow about him is that the safety of him and his fellow drivers are always in his mind. He was calling for a red flag because he was tipped over on the side of the track and he didn’t know if the other drivers knew. If someone was to not know about his accident and drove straight into he would have died instantly. I’m so fucking sick of toxic f1 fans

Honestly, I KNEW that The Cesspool that was the toxic side of the Rick and Morty fandom would always hate the new voice actors, and want either a 1 to 1 TikTok impression person to just take over or hire back a sexual deviant, and nothing else Adult Swim would do would even help rectify it….but honestly why am I still annoyed heavily by them -_-

My new toxic pastime is going through comments on TMNT facebook groups, finding the ones that say Rise or MM is trash, and then sending passive aggressive rottmnt gifs back at them.

Since @arttrampbelle wants to be an immature and a toxic gatekeeper instead of having a genuine and reasonable discussion with another Mortal Kombat Shang Tsung Fanatic, I will say my peace. Instead of gatekeeping and demanding everyone's opinion's is wrong, how about just listening and understand that that Shang is a very young Shang with a complete different backstory, and not the one we know? It's okay if people like MK1 Shang Tsung. I do, and this is coming for someone that LOVES OG/Merge timeline (and writes as him only.) And I have a lot of gripes as to how things turned out in MK1, but once again some of it makes sense because of the story (others don't). That doesn't make me any less than as a fan.
It just makes me understanding. And being toxic, borderline fanatic, almost insane is what scares new fans away. That is not okay. I want Mortal Kombat to thrive. You know why? Because I LOVE Mortal Kombat. Always have. Always will. Though I do prefer Cary (obsessed with the movie as a kid and had a huge crush). And trust me, I am a crazy fangirl, but I would never, never tear other people down because they like something and try to gatekeep the fanbase. It's not right.
Please do better.
PS: His last name is not Tsung. It's Shang. The family name comes first, then the given name. He's Chinese. It's how it works. So your 'children' for Tsung is named incorrect. But what does a Chinese person know?

because they can never NOT act like a goddamn religious cult, establishing hierarchies and purity tests of who’s a “true OG swiftie.”

Kids, there's almost nothing more cool than being a fan of something ya like. But if the fandom says or does a thing that you find is unnecessary, that's no good. So waddya do? First, ya say NO! Then, ya continue like the thing, but without interacting with the fandom. Most important, just share the thing ya like with someone ya trust. Like your internet friends, your family, and your IRL friends.

I had a question in my anime/manga questionnaire asking what you think is the most toxic fandom in the anime community.
In my opinion, I think the most toxic fandoms are the ones where there are massive “ship wars”. One thing I’ve noticed from the answers on the questionnaire, shipping isn’t big in the anime fandom unless the anime is super popular. So, in this instance, I’m thinking of Bleach, Naruto, Attack in Titan, and maybe even some of the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom. But a large part of why I think this is how much fanartists get so much hate for their work. This happens on both sides, with canon shippers and non-canon shippers it’s just ugly.
But I’d also like to mention 3 honorable mentions of toxic fandoms in the anime community:
1. Sub elitists are people who attempt to shame others for watching anime in the language they understand.
2. The type of person who thinks their favorite anime has the best everything in it (best story, best characters, best soundtrack, best romance, best action, etc)
3. Shoujo fans who try to act like the moral police on what people read/watch with “problematic theme” and judge them for it but will defend their favorite shoujo anime/manga with problematic themes, like with Maid-Sama. Or complaining when there’s a new anime announcement for a shounen/seinen anime and not a fave shoujo or continuation of one.

The fan fiction and The Toxic writers groups
Obviously that is how it works.
It’s not about how good you are.
It’s about who your ”friends” are, and if you are you willing to sell your soul TO gain toxic “popularity”.
it’s about if are you willing to give up your style, and what you want to write about, in order to gain people, who are only loyal until a writer produces what they crave, and until their next dose.
Mention: A style does NOT mean a mistakes ridden piece of work, that  lacks general quality.
AUTHORS SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO DO THIS HOWEVER.
Also, the fiction needs diversity and types, as any other type of writing.
Which at the current time is NOT present.
More than 90 % includes x some type of “reader”, and when it contains smut it’s mostly all the time a bdsm lifestyle. Especially when it comes to characters that the fandom labeled as such no matter how they were presented. That’s NOT a diversity.
AUTHORS SHOULDN'T BE FORCED TO DO THIS also.
It’s does not matter how good you write, it only matters how good you market your writing, and if you are a people person and whether you do or do not know the ...”right“ people....
And if you were at the right place, at the right time.
And if you wonder what the problem is - the problem is that fan fiction writing is about having FUN, not about business, or marketing, or establishing FAKE CONNECTIONS in order to be seen.
Because if it becomes that, there will be competition, and your “rivals” will try to move you “out of the way”, and it’s not FUN at all.
There is enough readers for everyone and every type of fiction.
If only the mass reader would stop to behave as they do now - Gathering around what’s “cool” and popular, and around certain people, and leaving all  the other authors unseen and feeling horrible.
Those authors give their time to write fiction for free, and for everyone to enjoy, at which they only expect some attention and feedback in return and from who is interested.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE to be overlooked and not seen because the general reader couldn't care less.
And they may be great authors, but if they don’t have exposure how good you are does not matter at all.
All you need is popular blogs and people which gained some “status”in the fandom not to reblog and interact with you and your fic, and you will not be seen.
THAT’S SHIT BEHAVIOR.
And it’s one, that the fandoms as a whole not only tolerate but enable.
Because why would someone who has fans, attention on their own fics, and followers who care, would care at all to change a system that works this good for them?
Why would they care if someone else struggle?
That’s right. They had no reason to.
Except if they care for the others as human beings.
Which apparently and based on the demonstrated behaviour they do not.

This is an example of why I think a huge majority of the Star Wars fandom is so toxic. This guy honestly thinks that having the VA of Thrawn from Rebels be live action Thrawn is bad casting. Sometimes the stupidity of some people is mind blowing.

RWBY Fandom: “*sneer* the changes you made in this AU, its not RWBY anymore! Change it up and make it an original story!”
Me: Fine. *tweaks the designs, change the names, and aesthetics…*
Fandom: “Ah! This story is thinly-veiled fan fiction and its characters, world, and ships are clearly influenced by RWBY’s world, characters, and ships you wanted among other things along with you being butthurt which is pathetic and sad cope!
You should disengage the source material, use something else which you 100% agree with, grow up, and ya know, you need to learn to be more original!"
Me: "Philip Pullman did it with the Chronicles of Narnia in "His Dark Materials Trilogy" and you also got Omniman and Homelander from Invincible and The Boys who are Evil Superman..."
Fandom: "Well they can do that with your stuff, but you can't do that with our stuff."
