the animation is based of off the original mv of the song (wind over the flower by balloon ft. hatsune miku), and i referenced specifically the sequence 2:05-2:15.
i really loved the music video and the song and felt really inspired to do this! although i finished the animation frames (done traditionally) and digital coloring of the frames in a couple of days, i couldn't get around to finishing the entire project (aka the video) because of school. i did randomly get a burst of energy and motivation to finish the lyrics graphics and video editing though so! now it's done!
It looks so clean captain sheesh you really are talented
that's because this actually isn't marker art! (also thank you <3)
i've been experimenting with different brushpacks + paper textures lately, even though i do actually like to use markers sometimes. you can accomplish something similar with a scanned paper texture on multiply/overlay. as long as you don't do anything you couldn't do on paper (smear or warp for example) and work in layers, you can make it look pretty similar! also…
here’s an example of actual marker art i did earlier today for comparison. i’m a little rusty, but it works o7
I need to grab a decent pic for my insta account cause that has to be a little 👄✨professional✨👄 but here’s a shitty pic of me finnally getting back into painting with gouache. It’s a little rough looking but for basically a painting sketch it’s find
Inspired by a photo by @/johnpfleenor (IG). TOM Ellis fron the Lucifer Noir ep. (s5e4). Traditional art, mixed media: watercolor paint, coloring pencils and pastels on paper.
A Thunder Japanese Dragon commission for a friend of mine's YouTube channel. The picture on the left is the first version of the drawing. The right is the second version. Then I'll pass in onto digital media
