They're just normal chests. Innocent chests.

I made a gingerbread mimic for Christmas this year!
He was filled with sweets & chocolate (take them if you dare!)
The teeth are white chocolate, tongue is strawberry sour strips and under the treasure are delicious marshmallow guts.
He took a couple of days to bake and decorate, but minutes to demolish.

How is it that I've gone all these years without rendering my Super Mario RPG models in the classic Super Mario RPG camera angle? I should fix that!

Outline I like (especially for shorter works)
Note: I learned this in film class (which is why it says "defines the movie" at the top, but I've also had success using it for non-film writing. It's basically a three-act structure, but I find for non-novels it's easier to work with than Save The Cat, for example.
Another note: Unraveling The Map is rarely a whole scene in and of itself in my personal experience - I usually use it to create an opening image that leads into the Launch Point, which I make the first scene
Unraveling The Map - Do you have an opening scene that defines the movie?
The Launch Point - Where are we, and who are we with?
The First Leg - What’s a normal day look like in this world?
Change Course - What sets our characters off on their journey from normalcy?
The Foot of the Mountain - Okay, we’re going on this journey together. (choosing the direction for solving the problem)
Climbing The Side - It starts hard, but you get used to the problems as you go.
Through The Cave - Do you have a B story? Set that story off on its own now too.
Reassess the Problem - You’re at the middle. Is there another way to get it done?
Try and Fail - Things begin to fall apart, can they handle it?
The Fall - The worst thing happens, something so bad you don’t think you can get up.
The Hidden Clue - What do your characters discover about themselves/the problem that they never saw before?
Race To the Finish - They’re up and running no matter what
The Treasure Chest - Did they get what they came for?
Where We Go From Here - Show us the world in a new light, hint what’s next.

🎉 [NEW PATTERN RELEASE] 🎉
A Pirate and his loyal companion, Parrot 🦜 embarked on an extraordinary adventure in the Mini Kingdom 👑 Guided by an ancient map, they set sail on their Majestic Ship 🛳️ in search of a legendary treasure. Through stormy seas 🌊 and mystical lands, they encountered thrilling challenges, but their unwavering determination led them to a hidden island 🏝️ Deep within a dense forest, they discovered a magnificent Treasure Chest adorned with intricate carvings. As they opened it, a dazzling array of jewels, golden trinkets, and ancient artifacts sparkled before their eyes. Overwhelmed with joy, they returned to their Ship, sailing back to the Mini Kingdom to share their spoils and tales of their epic journey, forever leaving their mark in its history. Some claim they encountered a real Mermaid 🧜🏻‍♀️ and an old man with a large fork on their way back, but it sounded too fantastical to believe, so it remained as just a legend!
Treasure Island 🏝️ – the sea-themed set of toys from the ‘Mini Kingdom’ collection. This pattern describes how to create the following four toys: Pirate, Parrot, Majestic Ship and Treasure Chest.
Sometimes I ask you which characters you’d like to see and a Pirate suggestion has come up frequently in your comments. What’s even more interesting is that I’ve been wanting to create one myself! The Ship was always a challenge, but not this time! Making something so unique was an enjoyable experience. I hope you’ll also have fun with this pattern! 🥰
The pattern is already available in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch in my shops! French and Ukrainian are coming soon! 🤗

HUGE thanks to incredibly talented girls: Celine, Isa, MJ, Clarissa, Sabrina, Roberta, Sarah, Gwendoline and Liubov! 💛💙

Red blood his color and delight, Red flame his breath that burns the night, Long scimitars he has for claws, A fang-ringed cavern 'twixt his jaws, Red armored is this deadly Pyre, Who stole our gold to stoke his fire; A hundred men sought out his lair -- Not one did Pyre the dragon spare.

When I was like 10 I buried a "treasure chest" (it was literally a pink plastic jewelry chest about the size of ehhh your standard toaster) in the yard because I thought it'd be neat to dig up in the future, but because I thought my parents would stop me I didn't tell them and didn't mark the spot I buried it in. And then I couldn't find it. This was decades ago but to my knowledge it's still there because 1) plastic don't decompose and 2) I had packaged it inside a Hefty trash bag for extra protection from water and bugs and 3) my parents have since sold the house as of some years back and afaik the current owners haven't done any excavation on the property.
