Are there any other historical figures whose names actually became synonymous with “king” in multiple languages?  The two I know of are:
Julius Caesar: Caesar/Kaiser/Tsar  (Latin/German/Russian)
Charlemagne: Korol/Kral/корол (Polish/South Slavic (and Turkish)/East Slavic)
Are there any others people know about?

Last night, in my dream, I was shot by some guy during the apocalypse after Lady Gaga's party. I was a bit mad at him when I woke up. But thanks to that, today I was able to date Thomas Thorne in a new dream. He's a ghost, so I couldn't do it if I hadn't died.
Conclusion: sometimes something bad that happens to us leads to something good. The world seems to be leading us somewhere, and we don't understand it.

In my one day of owning a tumblr I have come to learn one thing. Literally just say whatever you want, there is no method to this madness. So with that being said
Ahem

Thank you for your time.

*super deep posts relating humans to the universe and how we’re gods in this posts perspective and all our trauma turned us into good people and love is always the answer*
compared to
*frustrated post about how society takes advantage of trauma and disabilities and life isn’t about deep enlightenment but doing your best and we just really need to treat everyone like a person*
compared to
*dreamy posts about how cool it is that we exist in such an interesting world and everything is so intricate and detailed and we’ll never fully understand anything but that’s okay because life is about experiencing not winning*
compared to
*level headed posts about how everything falls apart or dies at some point and poster was severely abused or hurt and they’ll never fully recover but they’ve learned that they don’t need to be any certain way to love and be loved and it’s important to allow yourself to be fucked up and appreciate things for what they are instead of dwelling on social expectations and reality does include simple goodness as well as pain*

Important thing to keep in mind, you should always check your past notifs to see if anyone tagged you and you didn't notice cause I just did that and would have missed out on a mutual's cool art if I hadn't.

"Many people fail to achieve success is because they fail to fail enough times. "
~Robert Kiyosaki~
Tumblr media
You are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the first day of January. And look forward to what is coming rather than what has failed you over the past years. What is the reason and how?
To say it bluntly, it's because of our brain. Our brain is the control unit of all the systems, such as the steering wheel, which manage the car's parts and its directions. However, you hold the belief that life is a game. Have you tried playing games regardless of whether it's indoor or outdoor games?
You perceive yourself as merely players. Sometimes you win or lose battles, but you are vastly familiar with the prevalence of winners over losers. In case you either watch TV news or read newspapers. Successful people are those who embrace imperfections, including failing trillions of times in their lives.
As stated in the quotes above, if you are petrified of risking failure, then you cannot envision success!

Seeker of Knowledge, a short comic I made! :D
I saw the tree bearing the furits of knowledge. I did not pick from it.
I saw the beast of old wisdom upon a stone, who was seeked by kings and emperors. I did not ask from it.
I saw the spring beneath the tree, gleaming with truth and screts. I did not drink from it.
I followed the flow of the stream to a great abyss. And I looked.
In it, I saw the great coils of the universe. Breathing a rhythm.

I'm trying to figure out a job pitch for myself, and I'm running into trouble describing something I'm good at. If anyone has thoughts on these ramblings, I would greatly appreciate it.
Apologies for sounding like I'm boasting. Since ultimately this'll be a case of me overstating my case to a boss or prospective company, I need to slightly overstate my case here:
The idea is that I look at practical problems like a physicist, so I do want to dig into the numbers and basic assumptions of a problem. However, when I try to get my boss to understand that, no, you actually do want me to dig into the theoretical basis for a problem, they imagine me doing, like, useless quantum field theory or whatever.
Many engineering-adjacent projects that insist that they have everything sorted out and actually don't need any "science" approach to it are incorrect. But it's really hard to get recognition for something if the group doesn't really see the value in it.
A lot of times people/companies will spend a lot of time and money measuring something, but due to limitations in their equipment or approach end up measuring their equipment or some other thing that is not what they actually care about
I need a word/phrase for this
It isn't quite "reliable metrics"
"Scientific approach to make sure assumptions are on a sound footing"?
My colleagues have also often spent forever running experiments to come up with a basic compensatory mechanism for a problem that they don't understand, but I can generally find a sound basis for.
Help. I keep running into this stupid problem. I had phrasing worked out a while ago, and somehow deleted that document, which makes me very sad.
