Jason didn't really want to talk, not ever since Joker's body was found, he barely participated in the daily activity of the Belfry as he memorized the routines of the other residents and avoided all of them as much as he could; but this was something he needed to do. "Can you take care of Cisco for a while? I'll be off for some time." It was the better decision out of all options he had at his disposal right now, so no one had the risk of getting hurt by him, and he wouldn't get in the way of their nightly activities.

Between Tim's dimension hopping, Dick's lying and omissions, and the feeling of being unwanted, Jason knew he wouldn't be okay staying around... and would only bring a weight to his shoulders that he couldn't lift properly right now. He could try talking, but nothing would get through or out of him and no one would reach out on their own, because Jason was the scary and ruthless one, the bull in a china shop, according to Bruce, so he was better off far from their HQ.

"That's all... I left his favorite toys in a basket outside my room. Thanks for the help." He wasn't going to stay to hear the answer to his request, only go down, hug Alfred and get on his way to his place at North Gotham.

He'd had his weekend with Dio and come back Sunday afternoon happy and refreshed and jumping into his chores. He was in the middle of dusting the shelves in the chill out area when Jason approached.

"Sure, it's my turn this week anyway." He replied with a shrug only for the rest of the sentence to register.

Ice ran down his spine as lead settled in his stomach. Jason was already walking away. Jason was going away for a while and had said nothing about coming back. For just a moment, the Belfry flickered and it was the upper landing in the Drake household, his parents quietly leaving while he's supposed to be asleep or distracted with homework.

He never was distracted. He heard them every time. Had an entire album of photos they never knew he took because they didn't bother checking if he was paying attention.

Tim gave into the impulse he'd always swallowed down with his parents and followed Jason, running into him with surprising force and throwing his arms around his older brother.

"Please come back." He begged, muffled by Jason's back. "Please? Please don't leave forever."

It's his fault. It's al his fault. He's always been a bad kid. This is just the subtle way of telling him to go away. He's made Jason leave and now Jason doesn't want to come back and Tim can't play games with him or work with him on his pistols or spar with him.

Maybe therapy really is a good idea if Jason leaving like this is setting off all those old feelings from being left behind.
