Note
You make me want to go and read that Unordinary, is it worth it
IMO it is worth it
This is a long post but I need to get every thought and side about this comic out there.
Before I try and persuade you to read it, I’m gonna say that a lot of people like to hate on unordinary.
But there’s also a lot of really hard-core fans (like me lol)
I think the reason a lot of people like to hate on it is because the writing can be slow at times because of the format, which is webtoon.
When it comes to original webtoon creators, unless they’re on hiatus, they profit off of weekly episodes you can choose to buy or can choose to wait for (obviously a lot of people pirate them, but whatever I’m definitely not guilty of it ;))
OK so let’s get into it.
Here’s my colored index if you wanna skip through it a bit, idk how else to do it lol.
Synopsis
Why I like it
A little abt Uru-Chan (the creator)
Some cons (for evenness)
Conclusion
A short synopsis of unordinary:
In the world of unordinary mostly everyone is given a power known as an aura, most of the time it is hereditary (to be honest I’m really not sure if you can be unique) they grow into their ability and are able to utilize a different ages, some people never get an ability they are known as “cripples” (ik that word has negative irl connotations it’s literally what they are called I’m sorry 😭) the story follows the character John Doe, a cripple, as he attends Wellston Private High School. As well as a banned book called Unordinary, that is said to have caused a spike in vigilantism.
Now on to why I like it 😚
The story of UnO to me, first of all is very nostalgic, I started really getting into it in 2020 during March (quarantine) though I was reading it in 2019 during August I believe, but at that time I didn’t finish it bc of laziness.
During quarantine though I was ON those updates.
Second, to me, the character of John Doe is very well written.
Without super spoilers, it’s very realistic to have someone have their whole ideology’s set up in their brain and then have it completely broken down in the matter of a few weeks because of events that brings them a lot of stress.
Especially when you’ve been constantly subjected to the negative end of these beliefs that you had a hard time believing in to begin with.
And I think, in recovering the character, it was also quite realistic, because it does take time to change, and to still not be quite “changed” or instantly forgiven by the people around you.
The characters have good stories and pasts, they’re all unique and interesting.
Also THERE’S NO PLOT ARMOR.
IF THEY GET BEAT THEY GET BEAT.
Unless you count Arlo who literally wears armor lol
But besides the writing… 🤭
I love the tropes.
As a consumer of writing, and like anime, manga, whatever, it’s really hard to find a good story about a character that is a heel-face turn to the negative side 😭
And I’ll be the first fan to admit that the heel-face turn in unordinary, also isn’t as well written as I would like it to be, but I’m also not a writer and I KNOW how hard it can be to even write one to begin with-
Uru-Chan (the creator)
-It’s a struggle, and props to Uru for making a pretty good one 👍
And honestly, kind of rarely, the beginning of unordinary is very good in its own way.
Uru-Chan was obviously going for a very comedic action in the beginning of the comic, and the characters, designs and actions reflect that very well, and honestly, I ate it up.
She even admitted to not really knowing the way she was going with the story in the beginning, and usually that’s a red flag in writing, but I think she did really recover the story.
The comic did end up like straightening out I guess, and now it does have a normal storyline, that is obviously planned out probably at least a YEAR in advanced.
So yeah Uru-Chan ate I fear, she’s a good writer I take no criticism, way better than some OTHER webtoon OG creators, not naming names…
Also she was acknowledged by DC or Marvel idrk in an art piece acknowledging the future of super hero comics, with Seraphina being shown in the art piece (I SWEAR THIS HAPPENED I CANNOT FIND THE ART PIECE 😭😭😭)
Ok so the cons…
Obviously kind of slow writing. Me personally, I don’t really care for the chapters about Remi, Blyke, and Isen, I usually skip over them, but if there’s get a new chapter ONLY ABOUT THEM, I have to wait a week for another chapter and hope and pray it isn’t about them again.
It’s not even that their arcs are boring I just don’t really care 😭😭😭
I’m sure it’s someone else’s fave parts tho lol.
Next, the art style.
With 0 hate to Uru-Chan
The art style is simple, it has a sharper style, but it is kinda goofy.
Uru has a team that work with her in illustrations and coloring, and she simplifies her art style in order to tell the story faster.
The way they walk is kinda silly lol.
Also they’ll just have like one eye every once in awhile, maybe no eyes lol, only if the scene calls for it to be that way.
Demonstrated here by Arlo:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is all from one chapter I was too lazy to go to other ones.
It’s silly, but honestly I barely notice it sometimes.
I think it’s like an attention tactic, to take attention off certain characters to make other character be focused on.
Like how BG characters always have brown hair and brown eyes in anime but the MC’s will have blue hair or smth.
Maybe I’m biased but I can’t really think of any other cons 🤷‍♀️
Conclusion
Unordinary is a good story to binge, but is up to everyone’s to decide if it’s their taste, like most things.
Despite me not really being into super hero stuff, I do really like the story (it’s not extremely super hero-ish tho, it’s actually illegal to be one in the story 😭)
Also John is a very pretty man 🫣
It’s a school story that is now deviating from the base story of being ONLY at Wellston, we have been moving into another arc for while now, and the season finale is very soon, meaning it will be going on hiatus soon, so honestly now probably is the best time to start reading if you like having a conclusion.
It’s not a series finale tho, so she’ll be back 😙👍
I’m not very good at writing analysis’ or anything adjacent to it because my thoughts are all over the place, but I hope this makes at least a little sense and helps you out 😭
But yeah IMO, it’s a good read.

catching up on unordinary like:
episode 175:
just a few big thoughts for this one:
terrence is so sketchy at this point, and like i said earlier, i really want to see the confrontation with him. i need to know who he’s working for and all that, my dudes
i wasn’t expecting sera to try to contact claire, but it does make sense? and i’m really interested in hearing what her side of the story is, because i want insight into pre-canon john. i mean, i know it’ll be biased, but i’m still interested.
also isen’s reactions to her current pics was hilarious i love him
episode 176:
isen’s gonna die isn’t he
shit man he fkn dead
top comment said “so it’s okay for you to bully the school “cripple” and low tiers? gosh, how many hypocrites are there?” that’s it, my dude, that’s the point
episode 177:
sera brings up the point again about not trusting the authorities this episode, and like, i agree. at this point, i’m pretty sure ember and the authorities are colluding, though why i don’t know. i’m also wondering what role her sister has to play in all of this.
good good arlo moments. wow i love him
episode 178:
i really appreciate remi actually asking evie about the state of the school from her perspective and like, wants to talk to her about how to fix all of this. it’s good growth from the time when she was, like most of the other high-tiers, oblivious to the problems within the school (and society as a whole).
see y’all next week for isen’s funeral

WARNING: SOFT/VANILLA SECKS WITH OUR VERY OWN TOUYA UwU
"Hey," Y/n greeted Touya who entered her room at the late midnight. "Do you need anything?"
Two fucking weeks since the kitchen incident. And guess what? Both of them are back together in each others' arms; their love becoming sweeter than the one that was formed in the past. Both of them started to interact sweetly in front of Yuta— Touya placing an arm around Y/n's shoulder while she lays her head closer towards him. The young boy found it odd— but either way, the young h/c-haired lad felt happy for his mother. She started smiling again— which made Yuta think that she was joyful with having a companion.
If there's something that Y/n loved in terms of Touya's changes, that would be his approach. He was no longer the rough and playful Dabi who never took a thing seriously— but Touya, a good father to Yuta and a great lover towards her. His gentle moves made her heart topple and shake; how he'd be sweet towards their son; no signs of Dabi at all, Y/n thought.
"Yeah, you." Touya replied, sitting on the space beside her bed and hugging her— putting his arms around her waist. Y/n smiled at this and began to play with his red fluffy hair. "I need you right now."
The h/c-haired lady chuckled in response as she listened to Touya, asking him a question. "Sweet. What's the deal today?"
"Nothing really. Just want to cuddle with you a bit, I guess." Touya answered, planting a peck on her lips. "I just miss spending time with you like this as much as before..."
Touya swore that he could hear every beating of her heart; how fast it is— yet calm. It was a beautiful sound to his ears. The sound even grew louder as they both looked at each others' face; a small smile planted on their lips.
"Can I..." The red-haired man looked at her to ask for permission, caressing Y/n's face lightly while staring at her lips. "Can I give you a kiss?"
As soon as the young lady nodded in reply, Touya immediately attacked her lips— giving her a heated and intense makeout session. Y/n glanced to the side to see if the door was locked— and gladly, it was. She swears to god, she'll immediately die if Yuta see them like this. It wasn't too soon until she focused on the beautiful person whose hands were roaming around her body— Touya. Y/n began playing with his hair while kissing back— as they both began to lay on the bed. His body was placed between her legs— which were spread as he was gently tracing circles on her thighs while still kissing her.
Few more seconds, Touya pulled away from the kiss— only to see a flustered and panting Y/n; the sight was too cute— truly, only for his eyes to see. Her legs were spread while her lips were lightly parted. Her e/c eyes were also half-lidded while both of her hands were clenching on the sheets. No matter how much he tries to be soft and gentle, he always ends up being rough and feral. But tonight, Touya wants to give her the love that she deserves— the love that was taken away from her arms few years ago.
"Damn, I didn't know this was you meant by kiss." Y/n chuckled as she lightly pinched his cheeks.
Touya replied, looking down in embarrassment," Sorry. I couldn't help it."
"No. Don't be sorry." Y/n responded and gave him a warm hug. "I also want to feel you tonight, Touya."
They continued making out— until Touya began living marks from her chest to her neck— rubbing his growing erection on the slit between her legs. Y/n let out small whimpers as he began touching her clit while his lips were sucking on her nipples.
"A-ah... Touya." Y/n moaned as he continued to make her feel better with his hands and lips.
In his thoughts, she deserves this after all. Touya knew that he should be compensating for all these years of absence. And this is just one of the ways he could express his gratitude— for raising Yuta well and for giving him a chance to be a better father and make up for all those years that he should have been there.
Few seconds later, Y/n began to undress him— and he did the same. As she was lying naked on the bed, Touya began to insert a single digit inside her core— earning a light yelp from her. A small smirk appeared from his lips. Just, how much did he miss seeing her like this? He could feel her insides clenching as she began arching her back— but he took his fingers out, which earned a frustrated panting from her.
"You wanted to feel me, right?" Touya whispered lovingly, "I want you to cum on my dick, not on my fingers. Is that okay with you?"
Y/n nodded in response as the red-haired male positioned himself in between her legs, slowly entering her tight insides; her voice letting out a loud gasp as she tightened her grip around his toned arms. Her eyes were closed— trying to ease herself from the pain.
It's been years since she did this with someone. And now, it all feels new. But truly, Y/n appreciates Touya's desire to make her feel better. Moments later, when the discomfort on her face disappeared, Touya started to move— the speed of his thrusts slowly increasing every time he moves. The young lady could only let out light whimpers as her back began to arch— immediately cumming from the sensation.
"You came that easy," Touya planted a kiss on her lips. "But that's okay."
This was something new to Y/n. It's been so long since she had loving sex with Touya. During his past Dabi days, they would only have a loving session evert after fights— which rarely happens. Usually, it was quickies or rough sex. This was something unordinary— but the young lady liked this side of him.
As Touya began to pick up his pace, he began to let out grunts— his grip slowly tightening. He pants, "I-I'm going to cum."
Her soft thighs began to wrap around his waist tighter, bringing his body closer as he spurted his seed inside her tightening core. It was an amazing feeling for the both of them. The redhead immediately plopped himself on top of Y/n's body— inhaling the scent of the tired woman who pecked his forehead.
"You can sleep here for tonight." Y/n stated as she was playing his hair with her soft hands as he was laying on the top of her chest.
"Totally," Touya let out an exhausted chuckle in reply. "I'd love that."
The both of them lay in each others' arms that night— making up for the years of being separated. Things weren't surely easy for the both of them. Y/n and Touya faced the hardships that the world has to offer as individuals; but as soon as they felt the warmth of each others' arms, they knew that everything was designed; and that every obstacle that they went through— were all worth it.

Always Led Back to You, a John/Seraphina from UnOrdinary fanfiction Chapter 1
So guess who’s not dead?
Hey guys so this story came to me hearing about fastpass spoilers so I thought, why not write it.
Disclaimer: I don’t own UnOrdinary
Summary: Starts chapter 211. Seraphina has reached her limit and knows she can’t sit by and watch John destroy himself and take the rest of Wellston with him. With the promise of getting her powers back, she decides to take the risk despite everyone’s warnings. However, something goes wrong, and Seraphina wakes up in her younger body, and the reality of John’s era as King at New Bostin being an approaching storm. John/Seraphina
------------
Seraphina took in the scene before her, of Blyke on the ground bleeding and John being disciplined by Headmaster Vaughn. However, she couldn’t help but focus on John the most. Even now, his golden eyes that used to shine mischievously held no trace of their former warmth. This John was all rage and hungry for blood.
Seraphina’s eyes surveyed all the shaking students as Isen and Elaine tended to them. Then, her eyes went back to Blyke who was now being carried off to the infirmary and John who was being escorted to the Headmaster’s office.
‘This can’t go on. John’s too powerful. Eventually he will destroy everything…’ she thought, and despite her anger at John, she couldn’t stop her eyes from following his form getting smaller and smaller in the distance.
She turned to the students again, before taking one last look at John’s back. She wondered if he felt her watching him. A treacherous voice in her heart wondered if he cared.
‘Give me a sign you’re still there… anything…’ Seraphina begged. She watched him get farther and farther from her, hoping, wishing that she was wrong and John could still be saved.
He never turned his head.
The familiar feeling of heartbreak sobered her, and her wishing was once again buried inside her, like an ember that was smothering out before it could become a flame.
This was not her John. He was gone—a shattered illusion that lay at her feet.
That realization hit, and Seraphina watched Elaine approaching her, hands glowing.
“Seraphina, let me get that. You’re probably in pain.” Elaine offered, getting prepared to heal her friend.
Seraphina kept her eyes staring straight ahead, refusing to look behind her to mourn a ghost.
“Elaine, Isen, I need you both to help me.” Seraphina spoke finally.
Right now, Wellston needed its King to be overthrown… and she would become the God to do so.
------------------
Hey guys so here’s the prologue from chapter 211. Hopefully it’s a good start. Let me know what you think if you can!

Wack things I wanna talk about
1) EMBER apparently not knowing (or purposefully looking the other way) when it comes to John's abilities. You'd think he'd be top of the list when it comes to ability stealing but I guess not. I like @morgianasan 's theory about William making a deal with the authorities. William has always came off as sus to me so I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed that he is involved or is in the 'know' about what EMBER is doing (possibly related to John's mother). And when you think about it? We see how the low tiers live in unordinary. They live in slums, forgotten by society at large. Why does john seem to have a middle class life style if his single parent who is a CRIPPLE is his only source of support? With all the effort put in by uru chan to show us how the low tiers live, it's surprising that literally the lowest of the low on the ability tier (our only example of a true cripple) lives a better life style than the more powerful, yet still weak, low tiers.
And if EMBER is truly connected to the authorities, then it wouldn't be much trouble for them to smudge the info a little bit concerning john. They may know that john is a god tier off the record, but on the record? Not at all.
Also it could be webtoons not wanting to spoil new readers but they had no problem including seras ability loss (which is a spoiler) and the royals being dethroned (which is also a major spoiler for the season 1 finale). So I'm thinking that they purposefully did not include John's true ability for plot reasons.
2. Arlo is next to have his abilities stolen? That's really interesting when you think about HOW they were tracking high tiers. The whole mall teddy bear tracker thing (which is how they were able to track Sera and their attempt at tracking remi). As far as we know Arlo never got a teddy bear tracker at any point in the story. So how and why are they tracking Arlo? Their mention of turf wars make me think they've been keeping tabs on him for a while (longer than possibly sera). The whole mall operation was how they identified high tiers and kept tabs on them- perhaps they identified arlo through sera but still, they might have been keeping tabs on him for way longer. There is the possibility that they know him through his family connections with ember (his aunt being volcan) and have refrained from moving in on him- well, until now that he's begun to question the authorities.
But that also begs the question, what does volcan think of this? Is she just going to let her ""colleagues"" steal her nephew's abilities and leave him a cripple? We don't really know the extent of arlos and his aunts relationship but it seems like he sees her as a source of safety, enough that her influence leads him to blindly trust the authorities even in the face of reasonable suspicion. And in the flashback she seemed to really care about him, so is she going to be the reason arlo doesn't actually end up a cripple? Or is she going to stand aside and let him get ambushed, finally breaking whatever trust arlo had in the authorities? And the gang saves arlo, found family trope when
3. I never once had the whole "death flags" feeling when I came to any Uno character but fucK, remi better stay safe. I don't think I can handle it if she suffers the same fate as rei, it would absolutely break blyke, isen, and arlo. Although the character who's in the most danger rn is blyke, so we'll see.
If remi does manage to avoid being t e r m i n a t e d, is she going to live her whole life as a state target? If ember wants her DEAD, how is she going to continue evading them? Who knows.

episode 135
Late again, but this time i have long paragraphs to blame for my excuse (yeah i'll try to work on that lol)
Honorable mentions:
I loved this chapter so much oml
Poor john is so jumpy this entire episode and no wonder
Lol can’t believe Keon didn’t know that John’s dad wrote the book
The amount of times that Keon got loud and angry… let’s just say it should’ve been him in therapy
It just fliPPINg occured to me… How did the main character in UnOrdinary die (not the comic, the book) die? I was rereading the first chapter to fact check and i saw that it said, “spoiler, he ends up dying.” i FORGOT about that. Be prepared for a separate analysis on that lol
I’ve noticed this a few times, but dAng, the headmaster is like the coolest guy ever. He defends John against Keon and has done so for students in the past. You GO headmaster Vaughn.
For John, this episode was just a little blast from the past lol
Does Keon know that John is pretending to be a cripple? (might’ve forgot this one, but i don’t remember at all)
Sorry if the statements in this contradict this was mostly done at midnight
yeah I really don’t know how trash these statements are because I just wanna get this up.
Really the only thing that happened this chapter; The Keon Interrogation:
I’m to talk about specific things and events, then I’m going to talk about this episode as a whole. Who’s excited :)
First, that part where John tells Keon how much he’s read the book and he freAks out. I just… don’t get why he’s worried about John becoming a superhero. I mean, Sera and Remi, yeah. But Keon knows John, or knew him. He should know that John’s beliefs don’t line up with those of the book’s and should believe that John would never risk his neck saving people he doesn’t know. The only two parts of John that Keon has ever known are his dark side (which would never help someone else without gain) and his nice side (which would never want to step out of line or do something illegal). Based on what he knows of John, the book’s ideals could even be better than the ones John held, so why. That’s the question: What is Keon afraid of and why?
I don’t think Keon is afraid of John becoming a superhero, I really don’t. That fear isn’t backed up by his knowledge and evidence of the person he believes that John has become. If anything, the story about a man who lives in a world of cripples and helps everyone is humbling John and giving him less confidence/self-esteem. John, a boy whose ability is to mimic others’ powers, left in a world where nobody has anything. Also, why would John become a superhero? Doesn’t line up with any of his ideals or character traits (as I’ve mentioned above).
Now, this is hard to argue because, honestly, what makes a superhero? In the book, he is a man that is kind and peaceful and helps because everyone else is a cripple. Remi becomes a superhero to avenge her brother and the organization behind his death. Rei became a superhero for what…? I think I forgot, or maybe it was never said? Why did Rei become a superhero? In episode 6, John says to Sera, “But he was trying to keep us safe.” Safe? Safe from what? Ember seems like the obvious choice, but ember is only the authorities trying to keep the superheroes in check. Did the superheroes start popping up after reading the book believing they could help someone? The world they live in isn’t a world of cripples. I really can’t picture someone just deciding ‘Hey, this guy in this book helped people, I could do that, but I’ll need a mask and secret identity’. I mean come on. I might just be forgetting something and i’m kind of too lazy to comb through every chapter of UnOrdinary (the comic) for more mentions of superheroes lol. But just like, John wouldn’t become a superhero. Not his style or his mindset. The only times he, “donned the mask,” were to stick up for Seraphina and get revenge… Not really what William Doe had in mind when he wrote the book I’m guessing. (also, and this is an afternote [im really stupid], he says in front of the lie-detector lady, “I have no intention of becoming a superhero, if that’s what you’re worried about…” Might’ve just left it out because he hasn’t said this to Keon as Keon is reacting intensely, but yeah haha).
So, Keon isn’t worried about John becoming a superhero, no. What he’s worried about is the act of reading an illegal book. Think of his strong reaction when John told him that his Dad wrote the book and even stronger one when John said how many times he’s read it. Keon is scared of John having such an influence in his home life. If John is living with a man who so blatantly disagreeing with the basic set of standards that the government tries to hold, what kind of things has he been learning. Keon even asks if his father had been punished for the book, obviously implying that he should have been. What Keon wants is an obedient kid that doesn’t question the authorities or the normalities (is that a word?). That’s what he was supposed to do to John years ago and that is what would be best for the authorities. When he finds out that not only John’s dad wrote the book, but John also read it daily, it’s easily understandable that he’s worried. John read an illegal book that was banned by the government even after all of his sessions with Keon who tried to fix him on a cookie-cutter path. It’s the fear that John was, and will continue to, think for himself, and maybe, against his teachings and the authorities that provokes Keon to multiple outbursts in their meeting. The fear that if this slipped up, what’s to keep all of his other work on John’s mind from unraveling?
Another thing I want to talk about from the chapter is what John says that is, confirmed by the human lie-detector lady, true.
In the episode, John delivers a worrying line saying, “I don’t believe everyone should be treated with equal respect and I don’t plan on using my ability to help out random strangers. That’s your job and I’ve got my own issues to focus on.” This not only reiterates my statements from before about why John wouldn’t be a superhero, but honestly is a real insight to his character.
I know that you all are thinking that he was just beating around the bush like Seraphina and carefully chose his words so as to not set off the lie-detector (i think her name is nadia. Whether it is or not is irrelevant and i will be calling her that from now on lol). I disagree. I think that the words that John said were 100% intentional and he meant all of it. It sounds bad to say that he doesn’t believe that everyone should have equal respect, but really that’s the basis of his character. That is one of his only motives for acting out. The whole monologue about how everyone was trash and there was no worth in the world. I don’t even need to say anything else, that is John’s belief and it is clear enough. I mean, I could continue. I have loads of material and I could go on, but I’m lazy so…
John’s second statement was that he doesn’t plan on using his ability to help random strangers. This, honestly, is the thing that could most be taken as a diversion that covers his real feelings. Like, ‘he said ‘with his powers,’ but he obviously knew that he would and has helped people without his powers.’ We’ve seen him defend low-tiers getting beat up multiple times. And yet… Is he really doing it to defend low-tiers or is he doing it as a slight or as vengeance against the mid-tiers? Could John’s early on mission have been to take down the cruel higher-tiers instead of protecting the lower? Because, after Keon initially had his way with him and after John decided to act like a cripple, isn’t it plausible that John just didn’t want another version of him running around? Isn’t it likely that both Keon’s encouragement and his own hatred for himself told John that this wasn’t right, that someone had to put the bully in their place. At this time, John had humbled himself down to a cripple and decided to stop bullying others. Why stop there? Why stop at himself? And if John truly doesn’t care about the safety of low-tiers, but rather for the punishment of high/mid-tiers, isn’t his statement better supported? Not only does he not help random strangers, he fights to harm random strangers. I know I asked a lot of questions in this paragraph and I’m sorry and hope that it doesn’t sound too dry/repetitive.
Then, John says, “- that’s your job (about helping random strangers).” And like that’s another reason why he'll never become a superhero. This is kind of a generalization, more of an addition do his last statement rather then a whole new enlightenment. The authorities helped John when he was out of control, but at the same time John said he respected superheroes. So yeah, I don’t really know what to say about this. Should’ve just added like a sentence to the last paragraph… welp too late and I’m too lazy to go back haha.
And lastly, John says that he’s got his own problems. I don’t even need to say much for this lol. 1. Sera’s problems. 2. Arlo. 3. Keeping his identity secret (as Tuesday). E.t.c.
So yeah, I really do believe that John meant exactly what he said. Fight me.
    Moving on now…
Now, you’ve reached my overall part. I’m just going to talk about the episode as a whole. The episode showed John struggling with confronting his past, and leaves you wondering whether or not he has changed. Has he held a grudge? Or not? We can’t really be sure unless John explains it in the future because he put on a facade, a mask, to ask well in front of Keon.
It’s pretty obvious at least that John is suffering through some ptsd, and more than usual, as is evident with the abundance of flashbacks this episode has to offer. He has had dreams, flashbacks of that day in New Bostin, which are signs of post traumatic stress disorder. This might just be the episode that it is most heavy on so far (correct me if i’m wrong and this happened a lot in another chapter lol [not counting episode 104, that was entirely flashback, not john thinking of it]). And it’s easy to understand why. Keon, the literal embodiment of John’s past mental state, is suddenly thrown back into his life, even if it’s just for a short period of time. John really hasn't interacted with the man at all since their “classes.” For him, Keon is only associated with the worst time of his life, is only around after John has ruined things. It must be hard to see him again. But that still doesn’t answer my question from before. Does John hold a grudge?
I would think that if John didn’t hold a grudge towards Keon, it would prove that his ‘brainwashing’ is somehow still affecting him, his sessions are still at the forefront of his mind. That whatever Keon did to him was permanent. This would mean that John’s mind can’t truly be held completely responsible for all of his recent actions. I’m not saying that he didn’t do anything wrong, just that who John is right now isn’t the real him. This revelation changes my perspective on a lot of John’s newer decisions. Becoming Tuesday, teaming with Cecile, but most importantly, his disagreement with Arlo’s hierarchy. Now I know that Keon’s classes weren’t to make John disagree with the hierarchy, but they were to make him less extreme about the levels he takes it too. With Keon’s training, John was drilled that Everyone had their own place within the hierarchy. That he needed to take responsibility for everything he did. Keon made John believe that because of what happened at New Bostin, and I’m quoting directly from episode 105 (John’s inner dialogue), “I’m not brave. I’m not compassionate. I hurt a lot of people. I am a bad person.”  Keon’s whole ‘shtick’ was that a person was in charge of placing themselves correctly into the world they’re born it and that if you can’t handle that place, or don’t deserve it, you’ve placed yourself incorrectly. This relates to Arlo because of the whole ‘unofficial dethroning’ thing with John. That big battle they had a while ago where John walked away the winner (I‘m not sure why I’m explaining this, lol yea of course you all remember that was like the biggest plot point ikjsbdjf).  Because John knows that Arlo was beaten, he believes that he shouldn’t be able to be king. But not only that, because why would that make John want to destroy the hierarchy? John wants to destroy the hierarchy because he’s seen how poorly it places people. The royals are rarely held responsible for their actions (think: bullying low-tiers, not being responsible [cough cough REMI cough], e.t.c. wHEn wiLl you leaRN thAt youR ACTIonS have cONseQUENCEs?). The low-tiers give and give, but never get what they deserve. John has known this for a while, he’s tried to make up for the royal. This discovery isn’t really important, it just means that who knows what thoughts and actions of John’s are really John’s? So yeah, maybe look out for some real extreme internal conflict between the alternating personalities/individuals living in his mind? I don’t really know…
Next up; if John did hold a grudge against Keon. It would mean that, yeah anything above is just not true… yeah…
Yeah also (and Im gonna rush this part because im tired and this has been really long), i love the recurring theme of interrogation. I don’t know what to say, it just really personifies the feel of UnOrdinary.
    Also, just a great ep.

Just Imagine...
***IW Spoilers (a “fix-it” story)***
Part 1
Everything is still a blur. Everything is muffled. As you fight through the haze you are overcome by disbelief and fear and an unordinary amount of hatred.
(Thanos..will know fear....when we meet...again)
The long-past screams reverberate in your head, but the present crackle of fire tears you back to reality. There is a pain in your right leg. Pulling roughly, it comes free from debris; the slow flow of warm blood almost soothing but it heals instantly. A quiet cough and a name draws your attention forward.
“Loki...” Thor pleads as he holds his brother, resigned to death as the ship threatens to explode. Willing yourself to glance at your husband’s face, his clear green eyes stare into yours. For a short moment, you think you see a glint of life (Hello, love..), but that is only a memory.
You urge yourself forward, onto your knees opposite Thor. As the ship continues to creak and fall apart, your right arm wraps around and you comfort him through his sobs. Fighting to stay strong and keep a level head (Difficult every time...), you close your eyes to take a deep breath and remember your oath (...but no one must ever know).
Now looking at Loki’s lifeless face, you gently caress his cheek and wipe the blood from his chin. Your emerald encrusted ring glints as you stroke his black hair. A tear falls to his forehead followed closely by your lips. His skin even cooler than normal, you whisper your devotion (..I...love you) while barely touching and give him one last kiss before closing his eyes.
A beam falls hard to your left. You cover the Odinsons instinctively. Thor is on the brink of unconsciousness and you shake him brusquely. He has lost half his people, and now, his little brother, but there is little time. Taking his beaten face in your hands (our hero, our king...my friend), his eye slowly rolls and struggles to focus on you. You softly trace the bone under his missing eye and he leans into it.
“Thanos does not know of me or from where I come. We must use it.” Your voice sounds oddly short and discourteous, only to mask your pain.
He gives you a look of desperation, confusion, and (oh, my poor dear boy) fear. This stings you. But Thanos’ actions have given you no other choice.
“Keep us secret. Mourn for him. Let yourself believe he is gone. Let yourself forget about me...for now. This is the only way.”
Swiftly you kiss Thor’s cheek and send a powerful bit of energy through him. He is forced backwards covered in a soft glow. He looks down at this thin yet efficient barrier. Meeting the shock in his gaze, you give him a final invisible push and he is launching to safety outside of the collapsing ship.
“Get to Nidavellir!” You shout amidst the moans and roars of the failing ship. You catch a final glimpse of your brother-in-law as he drifts away unconscious, but safe.
There are booms coming from the far end of the ship. You can see waves of smoke and debris making their way down the corridor as this place you all briefly called home, begins its final decent into destruction.
You are holding Loki’s limp body (...my love...) in your lap and your arms hug him tightly, your forehead on his. The heat of explosions are all around you, menacingly close. Suddenly, large and brilliant golden wings appear from your shoulder blades. The magnificent sight would make your husband smile.
Your wings securely prevent any harm from the violent blast as you will them to swiftly transport both of you to safety. Safety on the outskirts of a small town called (..home) Lebanon.
A/N: The very end is my attempt at beginning a crossover in my head that I’ve had for a long time. Don’t know how it will go over. I guess we’ll see. I’ll probably write some crossovers anyway because I enjoy it. Cheers! :)

Felidae (1994) Review
So I just watched a sort of old animated film, about cats investigating murders of other cats, and it has an adult and sexual theme... uh... READ MORE ABOUT IT
This film... is blurry to me.
The film stars a cat named Francis who moved in with his owner at a new place. He quickly finds out about a murder spree that is happening among the cats of the neighbourhood and from there, he is undergoing an investigation to find who the murderer is.
The story, and the lore behind the motive of the attacks and why things are happening is actually pretty interesting. It has some cool ideas, but it is plagued by inconsistencies and annoyances.
First of all, I watched the film in English. The film is originally german, and so the lip syncing and the script are probably different. I tried my best to forgive the dubbing, but honestly they ended up doing a mediocre job. And for such a grim story with grim visuals, I honestly regret not watching it on german. I think they probably did a better job, and (Forgive me for this) the german language would fit just nicely to such an adult theme.
Animation Quality
I also have to mention that the animation is both good and bad. There are select shots I think are... pretty clever and cool, and then there are the nots. The film is actually well animated, or has a quality to it, but it does go back and forward with the quality. So the animation is “Bearable” at worst. Pretty alright at best.
Alright, my first gripe with the film, and it went on CONSISTENTLY is how the pacing just does. Not. STOP. It goes on, and on. Not in a slow pace, but in a consistent speed. There is no breaks, or moments. There are some, but the whole film falls into a blurry mess because most of the film just flies by in one speed.
You can see this during the opening and the first shots of the film. Just, left and right shots of the cat (francis) walking around, exploring it. But you just HAVE to watch him walk from room to room, you dont jump cut to each room, no no. You watch go from door to door. That is just bad storyboarding I guess, but what sucks is that there is no atmosphere to it. Those shots simply had no intention to show anything. And most of the film is like that.
The english dub did not help with this, I honestly think that the english dub made it worse. The scenes progress too fast for the dialogue and the thought behind them to kick in for us. HECK even the characters dont get time to think. It falls into one of those animated films where sometimes the characters have to speak over each other just to save time and fit in within the timeframe. It is a mess and is unfortunate.
However, there are some key scenes that make this film, unordinary.
First of all, I also want to say that I think the film has some interesting choices, some amazing ones and some... regretful ones.
For one, the film is Adult themed, meaning it will show gore, sex and... contain naughty language. The cartoony style of the film is so weird to have juxtaposing with lines such as “he is too old to get it up for any feline” or, something like that. So weird to hear and see this cartoon, almost disney esque designs along with an adult film. One of the first visuals for this is plainly the gore on some murdered cats. That is fine and dandy, it sets up the expectations and assumptions for the film going forward.
Then not too long after, we meet this interesting character choice in an animated film, especially for its time, and it is basically a blind cat. This character was actually, very well done, I never thought I would be happy to see such a choice. Heck she even animates in a way that makes sense, like who would have- oh... no nevermind this film is merciless.
I try not to spoil it, but I had a mini-game of thrones moment.
The parts that stand out the most is the dream, and nightmare sequences.
Francis the cat ends up having dreams and nightmares. Maybe just one or two, the film does not give itself time more than these two. But honestly, the grotesque nightmare sequence is pretty damn amazing. Even the dream sequence was actually well done, even for the benefit of the story. Heck, truought the film I noticed there were some foreshadowing here and there. So... kudos? The nightmare and dream sequence were probably animated by completely different studios. They were both way too good/pretty to be animated in-house.
And then there are the parts that stand out, for the bad reasons.
Lets start with the first big bad standout. The sex scene.
There is a sex scene between Francis and an egyptian cat lady. God damn, they fucking handled it so... cat like and realistically that it just... does not fit within the film. I hate this scene, but it does play a role. They even added the silhouette of crows fuckin! I mean Aaawrgh, it just does not fit the god damn designs of the characters. I did not assume the film to be like this. But... honestly, the film feels more important because of it.
There is also the laboratory log tape scene. This is probably the most brutal and gory part of the film. I, also hate this scene too. Not because of the gore or brutality, but how it was handled. You basically have these cats being experimented on, and they actually show this healing serum, fucking melt the back skull of a cat. They are trying to make a healing serum of some kind but it always ends up the opposite in an acid sort of way. Again, I hate the way they handled the scene by mostly being memorable for its gore. I did not get a mood, or feeling or any kind of emotional attention other than just a realistic depiction of what is a brutal action. There were no, scary lighting or anything. It was just... shot for shot a doctor, trying to get a serum to work. Log to log.
Most of the film is like this.
There just are no moods of any kind. I think the only mood the film gave itself to in a particular scene was the cultist/sect scene. There was electricity, chanting, shadow, lights flickering. Probably the only scene crafted to have some kind of... mood.
I am lying, a little bit. The final fight scene had a mood too. But, it was pretty typical... Fighting, fire, orange... danger. But I wanna save that for later...
Characters
Francis (Main character) is, pretty gosh darn straight forward. I kinda like him, and not. He just does not seem believable and I think a big part of it is the english dubbing.
BlueBeard (Sidekick) is oddly placed. I think at first he was gonna be the anti-hero but he just ends up being some... sidekick to the main character. He is the only character with the most personality, and he delivers it well. Except for the way he pees...
Khan (Anti-hero) is the blockiest cat Ive ever seen. Nothing too much about him other than, being incredibly cartoony.
Felicity (Supporting character) Yeah...
So... honestly, I dont find the characters to be in anyway interesting other than Felicity. For the most part, the characters, as cats, should be taken in an anthropomorphic way. The situation, the investigation. It all plays out like a noir film, and I think the characters as CATS do it pretty much ok. It is simply made a little more interesting because they are cats. But that also delivers a fuck ton of inconsistencies.
The story inconsistencies are there, and you are made aware.
You just have to bite and take it in anyway. Im sure the actual book has made these inconsistencies to be believable but, fuuuck the placement of things in this film.
I mean, since when could francis know how to use a computer?! Hes not a god damn fucking mutant cat! god damnit...
The Film in the end receives a “NICE TRY”
This cat noir story, is not well made in animated form. But, for its odd choices, I honestly think you should give it a watch. It is only 1h 18min long, and is not entirely predictable in the way you think.
A film, both good and bad. But should not be disregarded.
Nice Try Felidea!
(SPOILERS)
2 final bits of Awesome things from the film
Bluebeard assumes that the first murdered cat they see was done by humans. This line is oddly well foreshadowed. What is made even better is that nothing mentions how Bluebeard was right all along. Ive just came to this conclussion thinking about the story.
And the ending fight with the ending slice actually made me burst into laughter. Probably the most over the top awesome thing in the film. I thought it was funny and ... well cool in the right way.

(Okay so uh yeah this has a lot of unOrdinary spoilers lol just to let those of you who want to or are currently reading it. So yeah if you aren’t caught up I’d catch up first)
Hey do any of y’all realize that John has the ability to max out on all the stats
I mean obviously trick, but defense with Arlo’s ability, power with Remi’s or Blyke’s, possibly recovery with Elaine’s?? Not sure if it would max his recovery*. That only leaves speed up for question****. There is a character with some sort of speed ability, but her speed stats are low, so I’m not sure how much John’s power would enhance it. And it would enhance it, because Arlo’s barrier doesn’t max out his defense as far as I know**, and John’s defense was maxed when he had that ability. And the trick is with John’s original*** ability, so there’s not really any digging with that
I don’t know, I just suddenly realized that when rereading the Fight Scene(tm), and I like doing research so I dug around a little
* Okay so after a little digging,, There are two healing abilities that I stumbled upon while doing needless research for this. One of which is Tanner’s, which isn’t that high. It’s like, half way ish?? And well, John copied it at one point. Not sure when, but at one point. And it was nearly maxed out. Now, the other person that I found with a healing ability, is Elaine, which I’ve stated above. Her stats are higher in that department, so if John’s was nearly maxed out with Tanner’s, it’s likely that Elaine’s would max that out
** I’m using the wikia for this because I do not have the patience for looking through all the episodes, so honestly some of this stuff could be wrong. But considering that I’m using screenshots taken from the comic... who knows. But I might be missing information, so there’s that
*** Yes, I know that John’s ability to copy other abilities probably isn’t his “original ability” but it’s his base ability. The root I guess? Not sure how to explain it, but anyone who knows what I’m talking about will understand I think and hope
**** I know the four star came after the one star, and then the two star, but shush I just came up with this and I didn’t want to reorganize everything. Anywho, I just remembered that John’s speed is really high when he has Ventus and Meili’s powers (Ventus’s whirlwind, Meili’s demon claw), and they have low-ish speed. I’m honestly not sure if the speed would just accumulate, or if his stats are based off the highest one he has, but if it’s the former then if he had speed plus another power that has a high-ish speed, then it’s entirely possible that he can max out his speed. If it’s the latter, on the other hand, then I have no idea because I don’t know how much his ability enhances the stats of other abilities

--------------
Seraphina quickly changed out of her uniform, a frown marring her features.
“Are you crazy, Seraphina? Why would you go meet this person? It all just sounds so shady.” Isen voiced, looking at her like she was out of her mind. Maybe she was, but Seraphina could no longer stand on the sidelines as John self-destructed and everyone would pay the price for it.
“I won’t be alone. You both could go with me.” Seraphina reasoned.
“But last time you met these people, Arlo was with you! I’m not as strong as him.” Isen argued.
“Isen is right, Seraphina! You’d just get hurt and we wouldn’t be able to protect you.” Elaine tried to reason with the magenta haired girl.
“We need to do this, Elaine. John’s going to destroy us all if we don’t do something.” Seraphina was losing her patience, tired of feeling useless in the wake of Ragnarok.
“We’ll find another way.” Isen placed his hand on her shoulder. Elaine nodded.
“Seraphina, please…” Elaine beseeched her.
Seraphina stared at them. She was silent. Isen and Elaine waited with baited breath.
“No.” Seraphina was firm, her eyes filled with determination. “I’m sorry, Isen… Elainie.” She then turned away from them, walking away. “If you won’t go with me, I’m on my own.”
“This is the only way. I have to do this.” Seraphina told herself, straightening out her jacket. She glanced at herself in the mirror, satisfied with her attire, and took a deep breath before exiting her bedroom.
“Seraphiina.” Arlo was there with Elaine, who looked absolutely panicked. Seraphina locked eyes with the former king.
‘Elaine must’ve gotten him to reason with me.’ Seraphina concluded.
“I’m not backing down from this Arlo. If you’ve come here to stop me, it’s useless. I refuse to watch everyone suffering anymore and me not being able to do anything about it.” Seraphina told him.
“I know.” Arlo replied, crossing his arms. “That’s why I’m coming with you.”
“W-What?!” Elaine looked like she was about to faint, not expecting this plot twist from her former king.
Seraphina and Arlo examined each other for a brief moment, neither speaking, before Seraphina smiled, patting the blonde’s shoulder.
“Well, whaddaya know? You came through after all, Arlo.” Seraphina teased. Arlo tensed and Seraphina couldn’t help but picture him as a bristling cat. As if Arlo could sense she was picturing him with cat ears and a tail, he frowned.
“If you weren’t a cripple, I’d teach you not to tease your king.” Arlo huffed.
“Ah, but as I recall, you are no longer a king, and I shall hopefully no longer be a cripple if my instincts are right.” Seraphina’s smirk was absolutely fox worthy.
“Tch. Let’s get this over with.” Arlo dismissed her statement.
“H-hold on here! You two can’t be serious!” Elaine fretted.
“Elaine, if we’re not back by curfew, tell the school.” Arlo commanded. Elaine could swear her soul was leaving her body from fear.
“Arlo! What do you mean if youre not back?! Why are you two walking away from me?!” Elaine cried as Seraphina and Arlo hurriedly made their way out of the school.
------------
They arrived at the café that was designated as the meeting spot for Seraphina. Grabbing a table, the two surveyed their surroundings.
“You see anything suspicious?” Arlo asked.
“Nothing really. Just people having fun.” Seraphina answered. Arlo sighed, leaning back into his chair, his arms crossed, finger tapping against his bicep. Seraphina watched him closely.
“You seem nervous.” Seraphina noted.
“Should I not be?” Arlo asked her, his eyes stern, reprimanding as if she was the cause of his worry. “We don’t know anything about these people, and we’re going in blind. How can you be so cool about it?”
“I guess remaining cool is all I have going for me right now.” Seraphina shrugged. “I’m a cripple now. I can’t do anything about what’s happening, but maybe if I remain level-headed, it can help soothe everyone around me in some way.”
Arlo studied her, not saying anything. Then, a waitress approached their table.
“Hi! Would you like to order anything?” the waitress was all smiles, especially at Arlo, who paid her no heed. If Seraphina was in a mischievous mood, she probably would’ve stirred some trouble to tease the blonde.
“I’ll have a mango boba.” Seraphina smiled. The waitress nodded and then focused on Arlo, blushing a bit.
“I’ll have a black coffee.” Arlo stated. “No cream. No sugar.” His commanding tone startled the waitress while Seraphina, who was used to her surly friend, hid a smile.
“O-oh! Okay! Coming right up!” with that, the waitress left, and Seraphina found her opportunity to pounce.
“You know, you’ll never get a date if you constantly scare people away, Mr. Serious.” Seraphina pointed out lightly. Arlo raised an eyebrow at her.
“How could I be thinking of dating at a time like this?” Arlo was flabbergasted, or at least as much as the serious blonde would show. “I have no use for dates.”
“And that’s why you’re gonna end up an old man who never married with Elaine banging her head against the wall because you’re so dense.” Seraphina quipped.
“Elaine? What does Elaine have to do with this?” Arlo asked. If Seraphina wasn’t so composed, she would’ve burst out laughing.
‘Poor Elaine…’ she thought. ‘She surely likes someone who’s denser than a boulder.’
“Nevermind. Maybe try smiling once in a while? With all your frowning you’re going to lose that handsome mug from wrinkles.” Seraphina dismissed his question. The image of a cat bristling came to her mind once more when she saw Arlo’s expression.
“Well, what about you, Seraphina? You haven’t been on a date either.” Arlo pointed out, and Seraphina raised an eyebrow, surprised he’s even entertaining this conversation more.
“In case you’ve forgotten, Arlo, I’m not exactly a prize.” Seraphina replied. “Being a cripple hasn’t really endeared me to anyone as you have noticed.” She gestured to herself.
“John didn’t seem to mind.” Arlo replied, not maliciously, just stating as if it was a fact.
“That John isn’t here anymore.” Seraphina responded. She blocked out that fight where John was completely shattered in her eyes. His voice still rang in her ears when she slept.
“Seraphina, if you think John was putting on an act for you, you’re denser than me.” Arlo told her sternly. “He may have lied to you about being a cripple, but John would’ve conquered the world if you asked. He would’ve done anything just to make sure you were happy and safe, and has done things to do so.”
“I didn’t need the world.” Seraphina griped back, bitterness taking over. “I just needed him to be there.”
“And he was.” Arlo countered back, not bothered by her tone. “Why do you think he became Joker?”
“To punish people.” Seraphina was quick to respond, knowing the answer.
“To punish people who were harming you.” Arlo also was quick to respond. “Personally, I think John should’ve just came clean to you and protected you himself instead of relying on masks or us to do so, and I hate the guy for all he’s doing, but I can’t in good conscience deny his motives anymore or else I’ll be a coward just like him.” Arlo explained.
“What… what do you mean?” Seraphina asked, almost afraid to hear more. Arlo sighed, the tapping of his finger against his bicep increasing in speed.
“John’s priority was and has always been you. Everything he did, he did because he thought it would keep you safe. Seraphina… he’s nearly killed someone just for threatening you while you were unconscious.” Arlo confessed. “Now, you can tell me that John is gone, but you can’t deny he was never there. Personally, I’m glad you kicked him to the curb because he’s become too unstable and nearly hurt you, but you can’t really go on believing you were never his entire world.”
“I wasn’t…” Seraphina tried to defend, the reality of Arlo’s confession washing down on her like a thunderous waterfall.
“You were. You may have thought you were just his best friend, but John, even if he never admitted it or realized it, saw you differently.” Arlo concluded with her, the tapping calming down, relieved he could finally say what he’s been keeping to himself since John threatened his silence. It was soothing to finally tell Seraphina what John didn’t want her to know, to finally be honest with a person he respected.
“Well…. That’s…. shocking to say the least.” Seraphina finally spoke. Arlo shrugged. “Is… what he became… is this all my fault?”
“No.” Arlo responded, not even needing to think about it. “All the fault is John’s. He should’ve just been honest with you in the first place.”
“But… if I had done things differently…” Seraphina was consumed by what ifs and should haves. What if she pushed harder? What if she let him know she was there? Would John be the way he is now if she had done things differently?
“No. Don’t think about those thoughts, Seraphina.” Arlo commanded. “It will do you no good. You cannot change the past. Now, we’re going to see if your hunch is right and you can change the future.”
“Arlo…” Seraphina paused. “Could I… is it possible you think I can save him? Even now, when he’s gone?”
Before Arlo could answer, the waitress brought them their drinks. Arlo paid the waitress no heed, watching Seraphina, his friend, struggling with her demons.
“Oh! By the way, there’s someone who has arrived for your table! I’ll be back with her order as well. Sorry about that.” The waitress announced, taking her leave. Arlo tensed, and quickly turned his head towards the door where the mysterious person they would meet was standing.
“It’s a woman.” Arlo whispered. Seraphina was roused from her inner turmoil, turning her head to look in the direction of the door as well.
Her heart stopped cold.
“Leilah...?”

So there you have it! I did add a lot more content than the original episode and changed the conversation a bit, but I hope you still enjoyed. I was going to have Arlo originally say it was his fault John went crazy, but then I realized that wouldn’t be in Arlo’s character to admit he fucked up.
