thinking about food symbolism in dead plate makes me ill . Vince's food being bitter to represent the lack of love it in . Manon's baking always coming out bitter and Rody eating it anyway and pretending that it's good/he likes it representing their hollow relationship . Rody refusing to eat Vince's food representing his inability to accept things and love properly . Vince losing his sense of taste representing his own inability to love properly by striving for something he can never have and him thinking that with Rody this time he'll finally be able to taste/love properly . i need a minute ou gh

the cello fits Vincent so well when i think about it. It parallels him in a way i don’t think i can quite fully convey outside my mind but ill try anyway
it’s deep resonant tone, the way it can sound charming and smooth one minute to sweet and tentative the next, then abrasive and downright intimidating seconds after. it’s so in tune with him. Generally it’s one of the string instruments i adore most because of its versatility, you can convey so many emotions through it because the instrument has the widest and most versatile range of any with 4 octaves.
And i feel like that is an amazing foil for Vincent’s character, that deep tone filled with so many shifts and layers that will skew your emotions this way and that is so akin to a person who maintains a stationary level of perceived impassiveness with so much complexity intertwined within motives and emotions hidden underneath. Both carry a sense of never ending surprise because you genuinely don’t know what you’re going to get next, which leads to such a fun viewing experience

i think about the deleted scene of walt cradling jesse’s head and the realtor coming in and looking at them with the most homophobic eyes i’ve ever seen in my life more often than i should

@chronicler-of-narrative a quick recap for you, myself, and anyone else, since it HAS been a while since i worked on this and this became more than a simple reply lmao
so in the beginning there was kelth. and i wanted to write a cute story of the operator and ordis becoming Proper Friends. and along the way because i am a chronic limbo main i shoved a limbo OC in there too. and eventually this limbo oc gave himself a wife, a husband, and main character syndrome, so i wrote out a prologue as to how they all met while they were still human!
the original version is here but i didn't like certain elements of it (i wrote its outline and the whole thing within 24 hours somehow. it was fun!!! but then you have a week and more to think about it and you start going Hm) so i'm rewriting it!! (VINCE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A HUMAN NAME AT THIS POINT WHICH IS WHY IT'S NEVER EVEN MENTIONED) (jay isn't exactly his warframe-equivalent deadname. it's complicated)
my plan for releasing stuff is to finish Connection (kelth & ordis), then have the Prologue (jay, verica, pule) ready to go and release parts regularly, while i write Collective (merging of the gangs to ordis' great despair about the quarters space aboard the orbiter. therell be so much angst it'll be great) and have the first part of that ready to go by the time the prologue release schedule ends for Maximum Emotional Damage

It's funny to think that the general assumption from people who haven't seen Breaking Bad is that this is the kind of relationship Walt and Jesse have, when in actuality Walt literally blackmailed Jesse into helping him and they mostly fucking despise each other.

Seraphina, a bit of a bird , a bit of a human . Maybe. But, my question. When she eats eggs, is it technically cannibalism?
Long answer: no. Short answer, no.

expanding on my tag, it is so fucking funny how vince gilligan accidentally falling in love with aaron paul when he walked in to audition for the role of jesse just totally changed the trajectory of “breaking bad” and media in the 2010-20′s. vince literally almost didn’t cast aaron because he was “too handsome” but he did and was so immediately captivated by him that not only did he change the first season so that jesse wouldn’t die at the end as previously intended, he made jesse the undisputed deuteragonist of the show and devoted so much attention and care to crafting his arc and character that the story in many ways became jesse’s story. he gave jesse a whole-ass follow-up movie. he made a scene in better call saul where he smokes with kim and even acknowledged that it wasn’t necessary at all, he just wanted it :) long story short, we owe two of the greatest television shows ever and the survival of “prestige television” to vince gilligan becoming enraptured and in love with aaron paul’s big forehead :’)
