Danny wants to enjoy his reincarnation but quickly discovers his new life isn't picture perfect. His parents are apparently trained killers and are attempting to turn him and his sister into the same. He's having none of that so he convinces Cass to run away with him. They end up in Gotham where they are discovered by Barbara before eventually going to live with Bruce. The Cain siblings are incredibly close. They are very protective of each other and seem to almost have a secret language only the two of them can understand. But most importantly, whenever they're in the field together, they're in perfect sync. It is very terrifying for anyone who witnesses it. Including the bats.

Angsty

The Cain siblings have been pitted against each other since they were little. Danny resented Cass, especially because she was nothing like Jazz (the brainwashing really set in with this one). Eventually his father sent him to train elsewhere. During his training, Danny heard that his sister had run away. Good riddance. Maybe now he'd be able to prove to his father how superior he was. It wasn't until a few years later that he finally got his chance. Danny was suddenly summoned by his father one day for a special mission. The man coldly told him that he'd be hunting down his sister and putting an end to her once and for all. Danny couldn't help but grin to himself. This mission would be too easy.

man this one came out very different from how i originally intended. still getting used to the new paper i guess

this is one of the gmnpcs i created for our Age of Ashes game, and i believe the only one that stayed from the beginning to the end. he is the (originally) young halfelf son of a human woman and her second husband, a dwarf, which is why he as a monk specialized in a kind of strong earth stance. the party tank: got to have AC 49 at the end. generally a good guy with modest ambitions that however kept rolling nat 20s in diplomacy and ended up becoming the reluctant seducer of the party. elf couples love him, frogs fear him. in combat swung wildly between rolling like ass and hitting nothing and suddenly kill-stealing everything. by the power of the reincarnation ritual he became a kitsune, and then a catfolk... perhaps he'll use his level 20 privilege to get someone to turn him back into a halfelf at some point. he's not really a fan of all this fur maintenance

Coming out from under my rock today to say Youtuber!Steven:

Runs an educational channel where he gushes about ancient Egypt after he and Marc realize it's hard for Steven to hold down a regular job when Marc fights crime on the side. Marc brings up the idea. Steven isn't sure he'd be any good in front of a camera but Marc insists he can just talk to Marc in the camera's reflection.

Steven's editing skills are...questionable at first but people love him for how adorable and excited he gets. He responds to every. Single. Comment. Until it physically isn't possible anymore.

Jake will make stuff for the channel sometimes and Steven jokingly refers to him as his "editor", and talks to a little cartoon version of him onscreen sometimes (a la Markiplier and Lixian), mustache and all. Everyone thinks it's a cute gag rather than a recreation of an actual conversation.

Marc REALLY hates being in front of the camera despite his encouragement but Steven manages to convince him to do a drunk history type video and everyone is amazed at his American accent and finds it hilarious how drunk "Steven" suddenly can't get any ancient Egyptian history right.

Layla makes guest appearances to talk about the politics of people owning artifacts that don't even belong to their culture. Steven has a good time discussing how to still have museums and exhibits to teach about different cultures without taking away their artifacts (while sharing marshmallows of course). He becomes very flustered about the influx of people suddenly "shipping" them and Layla and Marc tease him relentlessly about it.

So yeah, Youtuber!Steven and you can pry this AU/Future HC from my cold dead hands.

So I'm doing a fanfiction like thing, where I write hermits videos in a newspaper like style. I'm doing s10 videos and standalone videos that have been out for less than a month!
