The end of the race was such a bittersweet moment for me. From “CARLOS IS ABOUT TO WIN” to George’s dnf to now i’m on the floor breaking down in tears to “CARLOS WON” to i’m overwhelmed so i’m crying and laughing at the same time to “CARLANDO 1-2” to i’m screaming in spanish to “LANDOO” to I’m rushing to my calculator to “wait…LEWIS YOU ARE 3RD ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP” to “Oh my GOODNESS Lew just got his 196” to the bittersweet “what could have been a merc 3-4” to “VAMOSSS” to have no idea anymore here comes the podium and i’m so happy and overwhelmed is crazy.

And all that happened in two minutes ✨

finally caught up on the singapore gp and wow, what a race. overall i would give it a 9/10 would've been a 10/10 if lewis won .

a couple thoughts about yuki, ferrari and mercedes under the cut

yuki DNFing.. 😔☹ ngl i've been worried about his chances of retaining a race seat ever since the honda + aston martin collaboration was announced and things like this happening make me worry even more. it's not rly a secret that i'm also a daniel fan so my ideal scenario would be either yuki and daniel at alpha tauri or liam and yuki at alpha tauri, and daniel at red bull to replace checo.. but the chances of that happening now with daniel's hand injury is slim and i think liam has driven well enough this race (and previous races) to prove that he deserves a seat for next year.

what i would give to have a peek at the behind the scenes of ferrari.. seeing charles essentially play the role of the second driver in today's race had to have stung on a personal level and on top of that the decision to sacrifice him by not pitting at the end, ouch. i think if the positions were switched, carlos would never have allowed himself to play that role and i think charles needs to have that attitude in the future if he wants the wdc, with ferrari

the last few laps were magical to watch and for once mercedes did a fantastic stop with the strategy at the last safety car to pit both of them. the pettiness in me is 🤭 that george crashed at the end (i.. am not a george fan) and i'm super happy that lewis got the podium ofc but i'm not looking forward to how things go between them in the future. the way the team seemingly support george more publicly (both on social media and in person) isn't a good sign. i think the first couple times could be chalked up to coincidence or other excuses but when it's the third time, that starts to become a pattern
