Looking for dinosaur/bug media recs!

So I've been enjoying indulging in my old childhood hyper-fixations. It has been very healing for my neuro-divergent self to re-engage in these interests that I use to be made fun of for because they were "childish" or "creepy." Admittedly most of my knowledge is drawn from childhood so it's all very out of date and I've been trying to brush up on more modern ideas of dinosaurs / bugs. If anyone knows any books, tumblr accounts, youtube channels etc where I can consume up to date dinosaur/bug content that would be very much appeciated. :)

Ok so if we go off the actual plot of Scream, it's his/reader's group of friends, aka people like Gareth, Jeff, Nancy, Robin, etc.

but I don't want to do that so we're not doing that 💕

I feel like Ghostface!Eddie is sort of an avenging type, he goes after people he knows are bad. Maybe people who remind him of his dad, cause I love me a good surrogate. Eddie is the kind of serial killer that makes you go "but is he REALLY in the wrong? sure he murders people but they were bad people anyway, so it's kind of a good thing"

Once you find out that he's the one who's been going around offing people, you try not to let on that you know, but Eddie's not stupid. He knows you know, and a small part of his mind wants to take you out, in case you tell. But he knows you better than that. If you wanted to snitch, you would have the second you put the pieces together. So you continue to pretend not to know, and he continues to pretend not to know that you know ❤️

I know I use this place to spill a lotta my head thoughts all over the place - I do be kinda traumatized and also extremely ill, BUT

Good thought time.

Here it is:

BE NICE TO ANIMALS! Like not even in the kinda way where I'm just asking you to give'em pets or something like that - actually no, not at all in fact.

Treat animals with the same respect you would for another human being, more in fact. They're living tough lives that only a few of us ever will - and when an animal trusts you enough to grab a bite of food from you and runs - that's still a big leap for them.

I've hung around geese, ducks, rats, mice - racoons, possum, sparrows, pigeons, bluejays - and while they're all culturally different from us and eachother, there is more depth to them than we're taught. Frankly there's times where I'm more comfy with them than other people.

I had a friendship with a goose who lived outside of my work - they only had half a beak and that's what started all this for me. It turns out their gaggle had been supporting them and making sure they had water/food wherever they were - I watched them scare off other geese so the hurt one could go for taller brush that it could eat easier - I started bringing them shredded lettuce and letting them drink out of my water bottle -

And they started walking me home. They'd hiss at any goose that approached and members of the gaggle would join us sometimes in a way that felt like "Just making sure you're safe for my friend".

I've watched sparrows call to eachother and organize groups when I was spreading seeds to one - seen Squirrels take food back to their little ones and their partners -

And all of this comes with the caveat that like...I am mentally unwell. I see things that aren't there, hear voices that don't exist, and my mood is about as stable as a jenga tower laying on a single piece. Perhaps I am projecting human qualities onto inhuman animals - but I don't think that it's too far to think that animals have a semblance of the qualities we do - just different ones.

I think there's a lotta intent and history with animals. I think they've got some pretty complex relationships, and that treating them like they're dumb, or just...objects to hold and pet - is...wrong. They're thinking creatures - feeling creatures. And...understanding them is important to me.

I dunno what the big point of all this is - maybei it's just like -

Go befriend a goose. Say hi to a squirrel. Let your local doves know that you're not a threat, and that you're a safe space. There's ways to do it - and you might find life to be just a little bit brighter.

Michael J Fox not being jaded and resentful for being known for two roles he played in the 80s and just being appreciative of them is actually really nice. Sooo many actors, like a startling amount, would've just been like fuck Alex, fuck Marty! Let it go! But instead of that he's like no those two roles (+Louis Canning) meant the most to me, and it's just very nice to see
