Thinking about the false dragonets rn.

Fatespeaker, told that she and four other dragonets were destined to stop the war. Fatespeaker, wanting so badly for the five of them to be friends, trying desperately to bond with these dragons who want her dead.

Flame, always trying to appear as hot-headed as possible around everyone, just as a SkyWing should be. Flame, sobbing into his mother's shoulder after what he went through, not caring about how he looks in front of these dragons he hates.

Squid, having dreams of grandeur, wanting treasure and fame once he is told about his "destiny". Squid, a child, abandoned in enemy territory, wanting nothing more than to go home.

Viper. The most ruthless of the five. The only one to die. In those few seconds after Starflight shoved her off of Fatespeaker, her fate was sealed. An entirely new and horrifying idea of destiny. In those short moments, she was going to die and there wasn't anything anyone could have done about it. And she was going to suffer before she was dead.

All just to sell the illusion of a prophecy that wasn't even real.

Ochre is just kinda there, but my point still stands.

Hi! I was the person awhile ago who asked if you read the new guide to wof, i gave you some time since i don't wanna spoil anything (Spoilers to any ome who hasn't read the book yet) you said what charters would you like to seen drawn and i wanted to suggest the dragons who were apart of the mudwing succession crisis. I loved every mudwing who was a part of it with everyone they mentioned having their own personality (: Sawgrass was so fun, Opossum was a anxious lad, now Copperhead didn't have a big role i still loved the gay representation of him falling in love with a rainwing, and there sisters. I would love to see Olive (Sawgrass's partner) in your queen dragon designs you do and buy her as a charm 😊😋 how did you like the story?

i think that story was SUCH a highlight of the guidebook. more mudwing stuff is always awesome and i really loved it! heres a sketch of Olive as Im not sure when I can finish her up :D

My Sunny design is like a massive spoiler I just realized but also it makes the fact that nobody knew she was half-Nightwing way funnier.

Does anyone else get sad when you look at the official art for Queen Monarch?

Like, it's such a shame that your wings have to be orange and blue, because SilkWings can't have black scales. Girl you would look so pretty with orange and black wings.

I think the SilkWings as a species could've been better designed IMO.

Vegetarians? Nah, they're herbivores. Or even better, make them nectarivores!

No black scales? Nah, they're quite common, actually.

Still, I find myself deeply in love with the species. They're wonderful dragons and it's a shame that they're mishandled by the canon.

Weirdly enough, Dragonslayer actually makes Deathbringer’s actions throughout the first arc make so much more sense. Like yeah if I were a very lonely assassin who already didn’t really want to be one, and I met a talking animal who I presumed was a hallucination, and it told me that it was my conscience and to not go through with my next assignment and then threatened me to take it to an enemy palace, maybe I’d throw away everything for the first charming stranger I was supposed to kill too. Idk, sounds like a real life-changing experience.

I don’t care what ya’ll say, but ‘The Flames of Hope’ is a good book!

Sure, it might have seemed slow and a bit boring, but it still had a lot of moments where it gave! Even if some of the scenes were creepy as shit.

I liked the backstory we were given. The perspective of Luna as a side character. She is the flames of hope; she’s what gave Freedom actual meaning. She showed her that dragons were not all bad, and that they could lead a peaceful life!

So go ahead if some of you hate the book. But I loved it. If you did so, too, I’d love to have a discussion here on this post <33

So I just finished the Talons of Power book, and when Darkstalker called Turtle, Fathom it made me think Turtle and Moon are some kind of metaphor for Fathom and Clearsight

I know they're not romantically involved (and I'm not sure if Clearsight had Nightwing powers?)

But Turtle is an animus that clearly represents Fathom and Moon is a female Nightwing that's friends with him and Darkstalker and it causes conflict between the 3 of them

Hey, wouldn't be cool if Wasp was the big bad villain of TFOH instead of Cottonmouth?

Instead of being stuck in the Abyss for half the book, instead of experiencing things that happen second hand (through visions), we could experience them first hand?

"Face a great evil with talons united

Or none of the tribes will survive."

Could certainly apply to Wasp! She now has control of all HiveWings, and a good chunk of LeafWings. There could have been this awesome stealth operation, or a huge battle, or both.

A very weird thing to say when the Abyss is literally trying to control every dragon species. Makes me think that the last two books of Arc 3 didn't have much planning. I'm trying to understand how "save those brave enough to look" and the Abyss go together.

But anyways, I think defeating Wasp would've been a better ending than a villain that hasn't been present most of the arc (were there any hints of Cottonmouth in the books before TFOH?).
