I've heard there's a scame going around trying to profit off of the Palestinian victims by acting as a fake GoFundMe request that gets sent to people's asks and DM's. Do you know if that's true? How do we recognize them? I don't want to help scammers (especially those profiting off of a genocide), but I don't want to deny sharing people's real GFM's, either :/ thank you!!
Yes, unfortunately a lot of scammers use this genocide to scam people out of their money and it's beyond sickening.
1) Reblog GFMs that have been checked and confirmed to be legit by Palestinian creators on this platform. They do magnificent work. I personally learnt about this from @el-shab-hussein who spread awareness about this issue before and constantly post and reblog legit GFMs (They have a tag on their blog called scam alert with various usernames listed as scammers.)
I also follow @ibtisams and @fairuzfan who always post and reblog ways to donate for Palestine and a lot of helpful resources. You should definitely check them all out and boost the donation links on their accounts. They do massive work on this platform and have helped Palestinians receive aid and helped Palestinians reach their goals on GFMs.
2) Usually these scammers use the exact same tone in their asks, and I usually just search on Tumblr for an example "Evacuate Gaza scam" or if it's not Palestine-related, I look up the main topic of their ask with the word "scam" next to it. You'll find asks with similar if not the exact same wording in the results. A lot of people also post lists of scammers on this platform for you to block or at least recognize the usernames of, because they recreate scam accounts with the same username but for an example with an added number at the end.
3) The accounts are usually only a few days old. Scroll a lot, you'll see that they reblogged quite a few posts, but their first post is usually only like three days old, so don't be fooled by the number of things they reblog.
This is all I can think of right now. I'll make sure to reblog this and add to it if I find anything. But for now, definitely boost GFMs and donation links posted/reblogged by Palestinian creators.

There’s been a bit of a lapse since Chapter 6, and I’m new to the Witchy scene so I don’t know whether the series is expected to continue, but will there be a Chapter 7?
I have full intention to continue Witchy! It's been on hiatus since 2021 due to me shifting focus to work full time on my graphic novel, Strange Bedfellows. I talked a little more about this in the news section at the end of chapter 6, here, but I think it's worthwhile for me to check back in now with an update.
I should be wrapping the bulk of the work on Strange Bedfellows in mid-January. I still have a second book deal with my publisher, but I am building that project and its schedule around me only working 4 days a week on it, leaving me time to flex my creative muscles on other pursuits; one of those being Witchy.
Lately, when the inspiration strikes (and I have ten minutes of free time), I've been chipping slowly away at the script for chapter 7. I am still very much excited for where the story of Witchy goes.
The front half of my 2024 is loaded with some work trips and getting started on my next book, but I would like for Witchy to be back around that midway mark at the latest. Realistically though, when it returns I don't want to promise that the updates will be weekly or punctual, as I've become quite burnt out working on my current book while juggling the fated work/life balance. I'll do my best to update with some frequency, but my priority is my sanity.
Sadly, despite my passion for it, Witchy is a project that no one has ever wanted to pay me 1 million dollars for so I can work on it full time until it's done, but maybe if I'm lucky I'll get netflix money for Bedfellows.
If you'd like to contribute to the "please Ariel for the love of god I need to know what happens next to Nyneve" tip jar, my patreon is full of behind the scenes work on Bedfellows, my next book, and of course, Witchy.
TL;DR: I'm hoping Witchy will be back around halfway through next year.

Hello kind person on internet,
Was wondering if you ever made a post about how Lucifer is like?
I know He's probably different to everyone just like any other deity, but I've heard He gives "tough love", and I'm not sure if I could handle working with Him
hello there!! I haven't made a post like that yet but I can give at least some info, I may work on a more detailed explanation of my experiences with him but for now here's the basics! Although he's absolutely just like you said, different to everyone.
He's very fatherly to me, very comforting and patient, usually very to the point and straightforward with his messages.
I personally don't respond the best to tough love, so it's entirely possible he avoids showing me that aspect of himself for my sake. It's also possible if you can't handle that, he won't show you that aspect either! I'd say that out of all the deities I've worked with and worshipped, Lucifer has cared the most about my feelings and his effect on them.
He's been a lot like a committed dad to me, by my side thru the hard times and there to celebrate my accomplishments.
I understand fatherly energies can be very overwhelming to most, but his feels very warm and incredibly positive, not overbearing or oppressive.
I hope this helps, and either way my asks are still open if you have more questions!

hi! just found your blog and i am so grateful for all the work you're doing. do you have any recommendations for books (especially ones that are available in audibook format) for beginner witches to read? all of the "beginner" books I've been suggested are ignorant and best and grossly appropriative/transphobic/racist at worst.
Nope! 😁
As I said in my pinned post, I’ll never give book recommendations. For the reasons you listed and the sheer amount of superficial Wiccan horse shit that’s out there. The best I can offer is this:
Experiment and keep a spell log.
The practice of witchcraft should be spiritual, trance-like, and euphoric; but the development and research should be critical.
Develop an extensive list of personal correspondences that go beyond the fluffy bullshit you’ll find online. (I have a post about this)
Remember that Visualization and aesthetics can be very helpful tools, but are by no means necessary. Visualization is not energy work.
There are two very unhelpful and even counterproductive views to avoid:
“There is no ‘one true way’”, while the sentiment is correct, it leaves out some very important information. It should be, “Just because there is no ‘One True Way’ does not mean that every way works.’
“Everyone’s practice works differently.” This mindset doesn’t make sense. If the foundational mechanics operate independently and uniquely, there would be no point at all in communicating about magic. There would also be no point in following preexisting traditions.
Communicate with practitioners of closed traditions!
Take everything you read about witchcraft with a grain of salt. Try to understand the mechanics of how each concept you find work. Eventually you’ll spot the pattern. (And will be able to spot bullshit)

I haven't been doing many spells or things akin because I'm worried about backfires. Is there any way I can create a safe/consistent "back door" if something goes awry?
It's really hard to go wrong with benevolent works. If you mean well, and you add a caveat to the tune of "don't cause damage to others", you're usually fine. Honestly, unless the route of least resistance in a benevolent spell happens to coincide with BLATANTLY OBVIOUS potential harm, your intent of being a Good Noodle ⭐ is usually enough.
If you're working something malevolent, give your target an option to undo the spell themselves through improved actions. That will help you avoid backfiring later, because the Universe tends to be fine with being a practitioner being the catalyst to an asshole's well-deserved comeuppance.

🌻 Magic, Spirituality & Religious Ask Game 🌻
I was inspired by @little-ginger-witch witchy ask game and wanted to make an ask game that was a little more inclusive to those who don't necessarily identify as a witch. No hate to the person who made that ask game! This is all for fun.
What kind of practitioner do you identify as?
Do you have any daily practices? What are they?
What's your favorite type of magic to use (knot magic, candle magic, pop culture magic, etc)?
Do you use any tools in your practice? Which one is your favorite?
What types of magic are you not willing to do?
Do you have a moral code that guides you in your craft?
How do you feel about "problematic" workings (baneful workings, love workings, health workings, doing workings on others without consent, etc)?
Do you use divination at all? Why or why not?
What's your favorite divination tool?
What's your least favorite divination tool?
What's a method of divination you'd like to try?
What are your favorite types of divination readings?
What types of divination readings are you willing to do, but don't really enjoy?
What types of divination readings do you refuse to do?
Do you identify with any religions?
Do you celebrate any holidays? Which ones?
Do you venerate or work with any deities?
Do you venerate or work with any entities or spirits?
What kind of offerings or acts of devotion do you give those deities, entities or spirits?
What's your unpopular opinion regarding magic, spirituality or religion?
Who are some of your favorite practitioners on Tumblr? Tag them.

2, 4, 8, and 16 for the most recent ask game :)
2. What draws you to your Gods? What do you like about them? (from here)
I couldn't answer this coherently if I tried. The only thing I can say is that HaShem was always there; it has always been there, and it will always be there.
4. How do you picture the universe? What is your idea of its cosmology?
Theistically speaking, I consider myself an [Ignostic] [Pantheist]. So I fully believe in the Big Bang and other scientific theories of the Universe's creation whole-heartedly. But I also believe that HaShem and the Universe are functionally the same and cannot actually be separated from one another on any kind of coherent or meaningful level- just as HaShem itself cannot truly ever be defined or understood by Humanity on any coherent or meaningful level (though that doesn't stop us from trying, which I believe is part of the point of religion).
I feel like this naturally segways into the idea that HaShem and Science (or, alternatively, Science and Magic) aren't separate entities that are in conflict with one another- but are instead one and the same. Or, rather, are two sides of the exact same coin in much the same way that "Healing / Killing" must be for me as a trained Herbalist ... One cannot exist without the other because they are two sides of the same process; to understand one is, ultimately, to understand the other (and vice versa).
@luminousfire summed it up, in a way, incredibly well when they wrote here: "I think I’m gonna learn about science as an almost devotional act to God. Knowing about the minutiae of creation will only bring me closer to God. Denying the wonder of the world would only alienate me". And Maureen Gilmer, too, when she wrote "Lord […] do not allow fear to close my mind to the discoveries which, in their own time, may benefit [Humankind … For] Rejecting knowledge is rejecting your creations, and this inevitably leads to suffering. Remind me to think over Scientific Discoveries and never [to] simply discount them due to my own ignorance. Amen" in her book 'God in the Garden: Discovering the Spiritual Riches of Gardening - A week by Week Journey Through the Christian Year'.
8. What are some of your stronger UPG’s?
Genesis 2-3 (the story of Adam and Chava's creation, their installment in, and then their subsequent exile from, Gan Eden) is a story about the purest form of love- and no one can change my mind about it; I could literally go on full out rants about Genesis 2-3 and how people have incredibly, obscenely shitty takes about Adam and Chava, and I'm so very tired of them (and have, actually).
16. How do you communicate with your deities the best?
Controversial take, but I don't. There's prayer, of course- and it's very much an integral cornerstone of my practice. And there's Invocation and Evocation (which also has its place in certain rituals at times) ... But ultimately I don't believe in 2-Way Deital or Spirit communication in the same way that Tumblr (or Social Media in general) frequently promotes the common ideology of.

Starting A New Path
So, I've been bouncing around various witchy paths for years, trying to find one that really resonates with me. Tried Mystic Catholicism, tried Wicca, tried Luciferianism, tried Hermeticism, gave a solid shot at Goetia, tried dozens of spell systems and divination methods.
And honestly?
I am, and always have been, a postmodern pop culture witch. It's what makes me happy. And since 2010, the media that has consistently, constantly, unfailingly given me hope, joy, and comfort is Futurama.
I watch it daily, starting over as soon as it ends. When I had one of the worst years of my life last year, the renewal was my biggest reason for living. I quote it everyday. I find meaning and joy in every part of it. I will read lore while watching episodes and sometimes I just lay in bed and read the transcripts when I am overloaded and can't handle even comforting sounds.
For 13 years, Futurama has been my obsession, my peace, and my love.
So! I will be doing divination with Futurama. I will be creating a digital, and someday physical, altar to Futurama. I will be using Futurama as my sacred text. I will be using the egregores that are the characters. I will celebrate feast days based on the "birthdays" of the characters and milestones in the show. I will be posting daily meditations (hopefully).
Still here? Cool, then join me on this ride as I do the most Futurama thing ever and build a spiritual practice on the back of a sci-fi cartoon. And if you want to ask questions about how or why I do what I'm doing, or how to do it for yourself, I am happy to chat.
Brought to you by 🎶The Space Pope!🎶

I've had so many zionists use the "being anti zionist is being antisemitic" argument with me and usually I compare it to saying all Italians are catholic is the same argument, but they've stopped even listening when I say that. Is there any other way to refute them?
Hiii❤️
Honestly, I'd recommend not engaging with those who claim it's antisemitic to be anti-zionist because Zionists are known to use it as a "trick" (as a former Israeli minister phrased it here) to get people to stop criticizing Israel. I honestly think arguing with them will drain your energy and waste your time completely so I'd recommend focusing on how to help Palestine/Palestinians. From what I've seen, either in videos or from Zionists I've had to deal with on this platform, they're too far gone and cannot be saved at this point. It's gonna require a miracle to convince a colonizer to stop encouraging more colonialism and more ethnic cleansing.

Hi if you don't mind i would like to know if you know of any beauty physical spells if you can't recommend one? Thank you
Hi darling 🥰
Thank you for your question 💕
Here's a simple spell I like to use that incorporates both physical and inner beauty:
You'll need:
💖 (Small) mirror
💖 A pink or red candle - Pink resembles self-love and beauty, whereas red symbolises a more passionate love as well as quick action. You can also use a white (pure) candle charged with your intention.
💖 Rose petals or rose oil - symbolising self-love.
💖 Your favorite moisturiser or face cream.
💖 (Optional) Rose Quartz - symbolising beauty and self-love.
Begin by lighting the candle and placing it next to the mirror. Take a few deep breaths and focus on positive thoughts about yourself and your inner beauty. Then, using the rose petals or rose oil, anoint the mirror with the symbol of a heart. While you do this, visualize the love and positivity you have for yourself radiating outwards. Finally, use your moisturizer or face cream to gently massage your face, focusing on the parts you love most about yourself. As you do this, say a positive affirmation about your inner and outer beauty. Use this affirmation or make your own:
"As I feel my skin,
I call upon my beauty and my power.
With the (rose quartz) as my guide,
I radiate confidence and love.
May my inner beauty shine through,
And my outer beauty reflect my truth.
So mote it be."
After you do this, you can also sit for a few minutes holding the item of relevance to you such as a rose quartz crystal in your hand and focus on your intention to enhance your beauty and feel confident in your own skin.
I would always recommend leaving the candle to burn all the way (this consolidates your spell to completion). However, if it is a very large candle or you cannot leave it out to burn safely, that’s alright - when you're ready, pinch out the candle (this pauses your spell until you want to relight the candle and ‘continue’ it, as opposed to blowing out candles which effectively cancels it out).
You can additionally carry the rose quartz (or other item used) with you throughout the day as a reminder of your beauty and power 🌹✨
Tumblr media
Remember, true beauty comes from within, and it's important to practice self-love and acceptance. Use this spell as a way to enhance your natural beauty and boost your confidence, but always remember that you are beautiful just the way you are.
I hope this helps, and remember to always love and appreciate yourself for who you are 💕

Hello! I saw ur prompt for inner child shadow work prompts and I was wondering if u could do more ^^
Hi, thank you for your question! I'd absolutely love to share more shadow work journaling prompts for healing the inner child! I honestly need to get back into doing journaling, so thank you for the reminder :)
Here is a short article from the CPTSD Foundation on how we can begin the healing process from having a wounded inner child that I think gives a fantastic generalized step-by-step overview of the healing process.
It's good to remember while looking for prompts that healing your inner child is going to look different from healing my inner child. Everyone has childhood wounds and traumas, but these are all unique to each of us and have to be healed in their own ways, so not every prompt you find out there will be applicable to you. That being said, I do hope anything I share can help you with your healing process and I wish you luck on your journey!
Here are five journaling prompts I found that I liked:
What characteristics or traits did you have as a child that you still have? Which characteristics did you have but ‘grew out’ of? Why was this? Do you remember? Were you ever told to hide certain parts of you that others deemed ‘childish’? How does this make you feel now?
Where was your ‘safe space’ as a child? Did you have one? How does remembering it make you feel? How does your ‘safe space’ as a child translate into adulthood?
How did you deal with emotions when you were younger? How did your caregivers encourage you to express yourself when upset, angry or excited? Were you taught to suppress these emotions?
What’s one way you can make yourself feel warm, safe and nurtured today? How can you make time for yourself?
What situations trigger what you consider to be a childlike response in you? When upset or under pressure, how old do you feel? Did something happen at this age to cause this reaction in later years?
It's a good idea to unpack what you journal about with a trusted person, ideally a professional like a therapist, psychologist, or spiritual leader. Take your time journaling, allow yourself to feel any emotions that happen and take breaks if needed! Taking care of your current self and taking your time is important.
