golly gosh, if it isn't everyone's favorite two rodents- mice and rats! these two will be popping in to Naturality sometime, tamed with anything they can get their tiny pink paws on. they love redstone and can detect traps and contraptions from a ways off, helping you stay safe. their tails and fur also find use in potion-brewing!

How does water even work in minecraft?
4 year old kid and I tried to connect two rivers by digging away the dirt, sand and other blocks between them. There was an altitude difference so we added more water with buckets.
Now we have made an unintented llama trap 😢😢😢
How does water work? What did we do wrong?

Veinpods
I knew going into this mod that I wanted to add a new growable food source to the nether, to make it a bit more livable.
Originally that was going to be a pomegranate (for the obvious reference) but I couldn't implement it in a way that I liked, so it was scrapped. Might come back to it? idk don't count on it
Instead, I added meat plants :)
You'll find these little features scattered regularly throughout the nether. They're pits full of Budding Netherrack and Reaching Veins. Reaching Veins can only be planted on Budding Netherrack, but over time will grow Veinpods, which you can then harvest. How appetizing!
Veinpods can be eaten to restore a bit of hunger and a decent amount of saturation.
As for farming, you can pick up Budding Netherrack with silk touch to bring it back to your base. If the block itself is bonemealed, it grows some new Reaching Veins ontop, where you can then either wait for them to grow naturally- or bonemeal them to quickly grow more delicious meat plants.
Although, just like the other crop I've added, bringing them out of the nether makes them grow significantly slower.
I want to encourage people to actually build up a nether half for their base, rather than just a cobblestone box- so expect some more stuff in this vein (hehe)

The Calcified Forest
One thing I like about the overworld is the biome variants. Jungles aren't just jungles- they might be sparse jungles, or bamboo jungles.
In ReNether I'm looking to make the nether a lot more diverse, so I'm planning a good number of variants- like the Calcified Forest, shown here!
The Calcified Forest is variant on the crimson forest- it's got more gravel, sparser trees, and a new plant(?)- Marrowsage, which can be crafted into Marrow Pigment.
I go more into pigments in This Post Here!
Of course, though, the main feature of the biome is its Enamel Stalks! This is another new plant(??) which can grow either upwards or downwards, depending on its placement! They grow pretty fast... as long as you're in the nether. Bringing them out of their natural environment and into the overworld (or end, for whatever reason) hampers that a bit.
By harvesting Enamel Stalks, you can make a new set of wood! Sure, it may be unsettling to live in a house that could quite possibly be made of teeth, but hey. White planks!

Pigments and Terrorcotta
For ReNether I knew I wanted to implement a good handful of new buildings blocks, so I've added some new items I'm calling Pigments!
These are Crimson, Warped, Ashen, Amber, and Marrow Pigments
They're found through similar methods to dyes- Crimson and Warped pigments are made from crafting crimson and warped roots, respectively. You'll have to wait and see where the others come from though :)
Pigments can be used to dye Terrorcotta (couldn't resist the pun), which is made with Ash and Soul Soil. Terrorcotta can be glazed, as well as made into some bricks.
Also here's a good look at all the glazed textures

being diagnosed with something later in life is like. oh. so this is why i was lost. this is why i was hurt. this is why i was hated. this is the piece i knew was missing, but couldn’t name. now that name has been granted. and you sit in the doctor’s office chair. you stare at the insurance code. you wonder what could have been, had you known earlier. you wonder and wonder and wonder.
