all im saying is what if harry anderson inhereted some of johns "theyre all fake" narrative but instead of the cynical way john does it he merely thinks everyone acts like a stereotype in a sitcom and hes one of the side characters scared but eager of letting himself be a protagonist

like it explains why he rolls with the punches so well and stays apathetic not only is he used to pranks bc of john but also straight up it feels like hes stuck in a shitty movie and its hard to take it TOO seriously.

#asks #anon #i personally do not mind seeing people draw john still i mean it is how he has been viewed for several years #BUT #big but #i just think egbert being transfeminine is so important to her arc now that it has been added. specifically that she transitions so late #etc etc a life of repressing their sense of self and helping other people with their arcs only to disregard their own #and then finally being left with the horror of existing in their own body when everyone else is doing okay and is not in any danger #how she looked up to her father and wanted to step in his footsteps so fucking bad but always felt inadequate #not because dad egbert had bad values to teach #in fact they were great #that makes it hurt worse for her even. #its knowing her dad would have loved her regardless but never got the chance to see his daughter being fully at peace or happy #and now that hes gone #she isnt sure if she even can be happy #i love.
