Of all the truly insane things Kiara said this season one smaller line of dialogue at the anniversary party that knocks me on my ass every time is when Kiara tells JJ “Jayj, I’ve been wanting to talk since we got off the island. We need to talk. It’s all I can think about.”

All the layers to unpack there are just so deliciously revealing and vulnerable. Like our girl Kie was fully ready to confess her feeling on that boat if JJ had kissed her, but the whole Pope seeing them thing obviously put a wrench in things and for the first time of many this season Kiara put JJ’s needs above her own and gave him the space he clearly needed to think.

Her being so adamant that they need to talk about what’s going on between them because she knows she can’t just go back to the way things were. They can’t just gloss over it. She’s in too deep already, and it’s breaking her heart that JJ’s been avoiding her.

Oh boy oh boy. What a thing to say, girl lol. We as an audience obviously knew that, but for her to tell him that to his face, how the most important thing in her life right now is HIM. Not the gold, not rebuilding her relationship with her parents, but HIM and what they mean to each other was so brave and honest of her and it just makes me emotional every single time 😭

The train is off the tracks at this point.

IT'S ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT! You've come to the right person because this was actually the first scene I giffed when I finished the season because for some reason it would just not stop running through my mind. It's so LOUD of her. It's shocking how honest that was. You've summed it up beautifully.

Same applies for "not bad weird" and "I know you freak when people get close" in 3x04. She was not dancing around anything and was going to speak her mind not matter what.

I really could not be happier with how they wrote Kie this season. Her being so bold was not even remotely what I expected but I love it.
