How do you take notes on GoodNotes? Do you use themfor your exam studies too?

I mainly use GoodNotes to annotate the lecture PDFs or take notes in seminars if no script is handed out. For exam study, I prefer active revision methods! To be honest, that’s why I switched to taking notes in Anki straight away. :)

If you’re not a night owl, don’t feel the need to study late! If going to bed early and study in the morning works better for you, great!

I also can’t study next to my bed, that’s why I always try to go to the library or a coffee shop! ☕️

What also helps me is to have a deadline and stick to it, e.g. „I study until 8pm, and that will be it“ or „I will just finish that lecture and then call it a day“. Be realistic and don’t push yourself into burnout! 🫶🏻

Long term motivation: patient interaction, I truly love medicine

Mid term motivation: having little things to look forward to, like a concert or a cinema date with friends. Studying can be hard, but it’s not the only thing in the world.

Short term motivation: ✨romanticizing studying✨

Congratulations for getting accepted into med school! ✨

Taking notes: I downloaded the PDFs of the lecture and highlighted important facts or wrote down explanations the prof gave us during the lecture. Please don’t bother to write your own notes, it’s just a waste of time. I could have had so much more freetime during my first year if I just quit that straight away. Now, I only do handwritten, pretty summary’s if I really struggle with a topic and need organization in my head. I mean, it comes down to personal preference.

TAKE NOTES. DONT WRITE A TEXTBOOK.

Study techniques: active revision, babe. Anki is really popular for creating flash cards, but if your school offers a script for the lectures, you could also write down a list of questions for each chapter that you then revise. Do practice questions!
