so! it's been a hot minute since i posted on tumblr - however i just came back from MoM and here are some of my thoughts

note: this post contains Doctoe Strange: Multiverse of Madness spoilers! if you don't want to see them then just skip it.

calling mcu earth "earth 616" was unnecessary

multiple wandas. it's a no.

this movie proves that marvel cannot write mentally ill women without portraying them as a villain

MoM was supposed to be the big thing that a few movies led to - it did NOT feel like it and felt extremely underwhelming

america chavez DID NOT look like america chavez at all. you cannot convince me that there are no latina teen actresses with curly brown hair and darker skin.

also america's powers confused me - apparently she is able to use them when she's scared but in the "happy wanda with kids" universe i cannot remember the number she was obviously scared multiple times but could not use them? i didn't quite understand that

the movie was quite brutal and thrill-ish - that was actually a positive thing

the biggest fuck up imo - killing off wanda. my girl deserved some kind of redemption, treatment, maybe therapy - again felt like villainising mentally ill people to me

edit: apparently wanda teleported before the buildings could kill her?? should've been shown in the movie
