Wait hold up if G.U.N was created as an after effect of Sonics and Dr. Robotniks fight in San Francisco, what does that mean for Shadow?

Wasn’t G.U.N the organisation that hunted him down and was the cause of Maria’s death? Unless I’m remembering it wrong, which I might be tbh. Does that mean there was another unit monitoring Gerald and deemed him too deadly or was it still G.U.N that just reformed on a larger scale after the SF fight.

I can see higher ups being aware of Project Shadow but how much do they really know?

Aaahhh the SCU actually looking at consequences of the previous films is refreshing and interesting to consider, it’s actually a really intriguing part and hopefully it’ll be done well!

You’re correct in G.U.N.’s origins in the game! Don’t worry, I promise. I know that the Adventure games and Shadow’s game are a bit hard to come by, but you’ve got the general idea correct. (This is the post in reference if anyone is curious).

We must remember that these movies are going to be a bit different from the games. The movies use the backbones and “meat” of the games in order to tell their versions of the story. Some of it will require knowledge of the games while others may try and spin a concept in a different light.

We know what Guardian Units of Nations is because we’re diehard fans. Beginner and casual fans might not know. And that’s okay! We know that they’re a nation’s defense force; a military organization established to respond to major criminal cases and domestic conflicts (SA2’s Hero/Dark game guide). That’s kinda like saying they’re the equivalent of modern day military, right? The movie’s explanation for G.U.N. might be that they’re a military branch that responds to conflict both domestic and international. It would make sense. General Walters works at the Pentagon, wears various combat badges, share his unit ranking, and all that jazz. So, yeah! It’s quite possible for G.U.N. to be a newly established task force, but have recruiters transfer to a new branch. They probably are relatively new.

As for knowing who Shadow is, it’s quite possible that he could be an X-File of sorts in this scenario. In all honesty, it really wouldn’t surprise me if he was classified as something like that. We know that Shadow’s both a weapon and a cure. It’s very possible for higher-ups to know his existence, have it filed/redacted somewhere in archives, and having high-ranking officials know about him. As of right now, we don’t know what Shadow’s fate will be. It’s really up to him to determine that.

Honestly, anything is fair game at this point! I’m excited to see what’s brought to the table for this one.😁

Hmm… you know, I’d be perfectly happy with a no talking day and staring at nature for an hour with someone. A “no talking day” isn’t a bad thing, it can be a good thing emotionally and mentally. It’s a good in terms of being attuned to your body, heart, mind, and those around you. It allows you to see what’s beyond your world and encourage you to listen to wonders never heard of.

I think my quiet hour looking at the forest would do me well with either Sonic, Shadow, or Blaze. I think that either of them would be fun to sit with and enjoy each other’s company.😊

Oh, when I say a vision of Pachacamac instructing Knuckles to specifically train Wade sounds weird, it's not the concept itself that's odd, but rather who exactly the ghost of said character is. It may be a different continuity, but Pachacamac doesn't seem like the type of guy to tell the last of their living species to pass on their ways to a human who on the surface isn't fit for the job. If anything, I expect that kind of thing from Tikal, who from her relationship with Chaos proves she doesn't judge a book by its cover.

Yes, I can talk about some spoilers. What I’m going to do is combine all of the teasers, feel good reviews, and everything in between down below for you to read. All of the hyperlinks to magazine reviews and tweets will be linked after my bullet points.

Without further ado, here are some spoilers:

Most people who saw the series (I.E., the fans of Sonic, fans of younger audience media, fans of feel good shows) gave it a strong 4 star rating. Those that were casual enjoyers gave it a 3 1/2 star rating.

The show has a good balance between Knuckles and Wade, but the general public that saw the series wished for more Knuckles. There is one episode where he appears very little in that focused more on Wade. However, the episode explains why Wade is the way that he is. Other than that, Knuckles and Wade have a pretty good friendship.

There’s one episode that mostly a rock-opera musical. This has been deemed as the best episode in the series by attendees, or the worst episode if you hate ear worms. If you’re curious, this is episode 4.

Knuckles is treated more as an explorer (he’s very much a fish-out-of-water) trying to understand Earth and his role with his new family. The attendees have made it a point in saying that he’s very much like he was in the second film. Not once is he described as an idiot by the attendees.

Knuckles practices tough love.

Agent Mason, Agent Willoughby, and the Buyer aren’t necessarily a threat. They’re more comical villains. The agents are easily the best and bounce off of each other very well.

The show is “unapologetically chaotic fun,” as well as heartwarming.

The show ties in with the second and third film, but it’s not the end of the world if you don’t watch it right away. It’s recommended if you want info on some spoilers.

The show is designed to be binged. You can save it if you want, but binging is highly recommended if you want to remain tied to the story and emotions. Make sure to rewatch it a second time.

Runtime for some of the episodes is between 24–35 minutes long.

You lose count in Easter eggs.

Attendees have made it a point in saying that the CGI for the miniseries is very good! Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails blend right in with the environment. There are one or two hiccups, but they can be overlooked.

Boss fights are entertaining.

Knuckles refers to Maddie as a motherly figure at one point in the series.

The show’s OST is a headbanger.

The show LIGHTLY teases Sonic 3, but the show makes it a point to be its own thing.

A consistent feeling I get from reading these reviews gives me the impression that the miniseries would've worked better as a made-for-streaming movie

That’s understandable, yeah! If it helps, some of the reviews that I’m reading online state that the miniseries felt like it was supposed to be a movie with the way it was chopped up. Then again, we do live in a world where streaming and binging shows is popular. So… who knows?😳

One of my biggest fears about the Knuckles series was that Knuckles himself would barely be in it. After reading some of the reviews it looks as though I was right :/

I can completely understand that fear. I do, I promise. If I remember correctly, the same thing was said about Sonic 2 when it was released a couple of years ago. We had that same fear from critic reviews and saw that they weren’t necessarily correct. We were able to see plenty of our favorite fluffy space boys, as well as Dr. Robotnik.

I think that we should wait a little bit longer before we make that final judgement call. I’m looking through some more reviews and see that a small absence of Knuckles was mandatory for a scene. I’m sure that we’ll get an explanation soon.
