My sons are SO mad I bought them matching Christmas sweaters but they're so cute 🤭 Well I'm not sure if Owl was mad or not, his face tells me he's about to do the weird skittering thing he does when he's really hyper but uh-.
[Image description - First image depicts a white dog with his head just out of the camera in a red and black checkered dog sweater, sitting next to a black and white dog in the same, matching red and black sweater.

Back in July, I went up with my parents to visit my mom's family for the first time in almost 3 years. Owl came with. I almost didn't come back with a dog, my oldest cousin fell in love with him and my mom was pretty sure they were going to go off together and not return 😅 [Smile emoji with sweat].
For his part, it was Owl's first time surrounded by so much nature and he...wasn't quite sure.
You see, there was a dock with open access to the bay we overlooked. You can see Owl looking out on the top area of this - you had to walk down three flights of stairs just to get to the actual dock. It wasn't an easy hike, especially with my chronic joint pain, but Owl thought it was quite fun and would make several trips in the time it took me to get down once, LOL. However, despite being part lab, he was convinced the water was evil and would only go up to chest height. He's really not a fan of nature.
Picture Desc: Black and white socked dog laying on a weathered wooden deck with a red toy between his paws, looking out over a gravel firepit area and into the woods. There's a flight of wooden stairs hidden in the woods just beyond sight, and the dog is looking intently towards those stairs.
One of Owl's favorite tasks, and the one I use the most, is retrievals. Sudden movements, stretching, standing up, and bending over can cause me to get really dizzy, lightheaded, and even faint, so Owl being able to pick things up off the floor for me makes life much safer.
Also he's really weird and thinks its a funny game.

As an aside, I will be trying to provide text IDs for posts from this point on that contain images, to make this blog more accessible. I appreciate anyone in the reblogs who has ever provided an image description or ID. If I forget, please feel free to DM me with yours or remind me. Thanks!
I’m well aware people fuck with other people’s mobility devices. This is being purposely obtuse to the point. The point is that the general public should see this image and go “Oh, I wouldn’t do the first two so I shouldn’t do the third, either.”
If you’re going to grab, shove, or otherwise harm or interfere with someone using a mobility device you need a lot more help than a graphic on the internet to tell you you’re not a very good person.
