Are you trans
I'm like...not cis? Don't know if I feel comfy claiming a trans space/voice myself rn though. People will see me how they want to see me. I'm okay with that and I'm also okay with not really feeling okay abt defining my identity.

you’re so young and you have so much time. life is longer than you think, and there will be time for you to do everything. if you lost your youth to mental illness or abuse, your life isn’t over. you can do everything you missed out on, and more. if you’re losing your youth right now, there will be time for you to do the things you want to do. it’s gonna be okay, you still have time.

David Wojnarowicz wore this jacket in 1988, just 4 years before he’d ultimately die from AIDS. Sadly, just a few years ago some of his artistic work was censored at the Smithsonian. People in power are still content to try and erase his history and the continued struggles of people with AIDS

Black Lives Matter is held to such a ridiculously high standard. If anyone who is REMOTELY associated with BLM commits an act of violence, white people use it as an excuse to smear the name of the entire movement.
Cops can murder unarmed Black people and many white folks still jump to defend the police force.
This is racism. This is white supremacy culture.

“I’m wearing vintage with a Silvae top and Paloma boots. My style philosophy is focusing on sustainability and ethics, elevated but still playful. Fine art inspires my style: Rodin, Picasso, Matisse, Klimt, and so on. I went to school for art history and that influences my style a lot.”

we are seeing the narrative shift. they are trying to co-opt and sanitize the movement by separating the "legitimate" peaceful protests from the "ilegitimate" riots. don't buy into it. the riots are a legitimate expression of community rage and pain. they want peaceful protests without the threat of riots behind them because those are easy to crush, ignore, or placate with meaningless reforms. the movement needs to be threatening to the established order for meaningful change to be possible.
