Gigi gave a worried look, hoping she didn't offend the women when Whisp insulted the mother and apparent head of the household. She was always telling her younger twin that even though they hold higher authority, it didn't give the princesses any right to belittle anyone!

Even IF the woman was scary...

The pink princess wanted to go after Pepa since Julieta pointed out the cloud as Whisp was thrusted with new clothes. The moon princess sighed and groaned in annoyance for this entire mess. She would make sure Gigi would talk to father about ALL of this later. She allowed her powers through shadow to come behind her and carry the clothes.

       ❝ That won't be necessary. We appreciate the hospitality and everything you've done for us, but we should be heading home now. We've worried father enough thanks to SOMEBODY wandering off. ❞

Whisp then held out her palm, ignoring Gigi's pleads of possibly saying goodbye to the others for helping them. Her eyes then turned black as she focused on making a portal to connect back to their home. The kitchen's shadows began to move and swirl before forming a circle near Julieta...

It's began to grow and grow... with a bit of light showing a large castle at the other side of it...

But then... something was wrong...

       ❝ Wh... what?... ❞

The familiar gold glow of the candle's magic surrounded the portal and fought back against Whisp's will before finally closing it, sending a small shockwave to knock the moon princess back against the wall!

       ❝ Whisp! ❞

Pepa and Julieta exchanged a look at Whisp’s attitude. They’d admit their mother was…difficult at best.

“I’m surprised she didn’t point out the cloud,” Julieta sighed. “Pepa, are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” Pepa grumbled, shooing the cloud away and focusing on the smell in the kitchen. “I’m going to go check on Toñito before dinner,” she sighed and started to leave, snatching an arepa on her way out.

“Do you girls have a place to stay?” Julieta sighed, putting a few tamales on plain plates for them. “If not…I’m sure Isa…?”

“There’s plenty of space in my room,” Isabela sighed, folding her arms tightly over her chest. “I bet Dolores–” she broke off as a tile shifted under her and another tapped a little rhythm by Gigi’s feet.

Mirabel came back into the kitchen just then and thrust the bundle of fabric into Whisp’s arms before hurrying back out.

“Ugh…let’s just go to my room and you can get changed…,” Isa groaned.

“And here,” Julieta sighed, offering the plates. “Dinner. And all of our rooms have our names on them.”

The figure that approached Tikki would obviously be more older and... powerful. The violet, aquatic and gold tones would suggest Stinng has reawakened and found another wielder.

But he didn't just come out as much as the other kwamis.

Stinng was only used for a use of emergency.

The tall female looked to Tikki, holding a strong and empowering pose as she looked to the kwami with a neutral gaze... yet her tone suggest otherwise.

       ❝ I am Scorpina, chosen by the kwami of intelligence. And we have much to discuss of how you are abusing your power over your wielder. ❞

Tikki was still reeling from Marinette giving her an order. Even if her holder didn’t know the power her commands had, it was still something the girl avoided. And Tikki was grateful for that.

She idly wondered who on earth would want to talk to her. That could have had something to do with Marinette’s recent odd behaviour. Akuma with none of the usual randomness…and apparently Marinette blamed Tikki somehow for this most recent one?

She’d just taken control of a situation. If the liar was Akumatized, that wasn’t her fault!

“Who are you?” she squeaked, seeing the mystery hero and compelled by Marinette’s command to speak. Was that…Stinng that she felt powering that transformation?

Kiyomi, the friend we need to know and keep!

Kiyomi is on the list of background characters who needed to be exploited more. It's hard to express opinion for these monsters who get very little to no play time after they have premiered.

I like Kiyomi's character alot. She is very sweet, caring willing to help when the time comes. Her aesthetic is on point and I love the idea of her changing color based on her mood. And to hear that she had been the shy girl-turned-popular ghost at Haunted High is bootiful... we should know though HOW she did it.

Like we know that she's been haunting the ghouls for a good amount of time, but for how long. It would've been nice to have a bit of foreshadowing to see her orb form floating around Monster High since 13 wishes or even like Ghouls Rule for Halloween. She would have a good time spent knowing the ghouls and we get a full understanding when she finally appeared in Haunted.

Mattel, you have TONS of Monster High characters waiting to be shown more... USE them! Kiyomi is one of them!

Robecca steam for the character bingo

Robecca is the legend we need more of...

Robecca's role served very powerful for one of the most impactful boovies of the Monster High universe: "Friday Night Frights". The legendary first female player of Skulltimate Rollermaze (SKRM) and had literally DIED playing it.

My only issue for Robecca, like for so many other characters, I wish we were able to explore more. Like we KNOW she dies during SKRM, but it would've been really cool to see HOW or show flashbacks of her previous games. Or even so, help girl monsters be inducted more into the game. Even after the game where they won their crest back, do you think it was resolved so easily? It takes time to for others to accept the new rule, especially for schools outside of Monster High which is the only school so far to show diversity in monster kind.

I can see Robecca as one of the main symbols of female empowerment needed for the show and she should've been used for such more.

Anonymous Wishes || Core Trio Gen 1 (Frankie, Draculaura & Clawdeen)

Good thing I have the braincell! I decided to do all three. This is gonna be a bit of a long post so bare with me.

Frankie is the perfectly imperfect main ghoul

As far as it comes to the main, even as one of the ones shown the most, I feel like they did a good job with Frankie's character. She's not just a teen monster at Monster High, but THE teen to help you guide through it and relate to. I thought I wasn't going to like Frankie as much because of how they constantly show her most of the episodes but she balances out with her freaky flaws and difficult struggles.

Frankie's personality is what you expect for a teen experiencing High School life for the first time and is trying to fit in while going on a journey. And she takes us on the journey pretty well. She understands and learns along the way, is VERY protective of her friends and loves them enough to even DIE for them. She gets major credit for that. Plus even when the movie does focus on her, she never really overshadows the other monsters. Instead it feels like she brings them into the fold.

If there's any teen you can relate to the most, it would be Frankie in this series.

Clawdeen the fashionista is a good main that struggles

Ngl, Clawdeen was annoying at the start of her introduction, coming off as a bit of a hypocrite to contradict what she says. But eventually she builds up better from that. Clawdeen is the kinda ghoul that you wanna see throw down and look good doing it. Like her only time she threw hands was during 13 Wishes (best boovie of all) when she finally got to PUNCH someone!

Clearly Clawdeen is the tough ghoul who dreams big and even though she wasn't expanded as much ad Frankie and Draculaura, there were times I understood her plight. Like wanting to impress the people you look up to (she and Howleen are alot alike than they think), dealing with complicated younger siblings in the same school and trying to NOT knock the other monster who is giving you and your friends flat so you don't get suspended.

Scaris happens to be one of my favorites because of how it balances out and how Clawdeen got to balance herself out and learn along the way. She started off stagnant but develops along the way. She's honestly the one in the trio that needs to be exploited more.

Draculaura... the over populated one

Yeah I'm gonna say it: she's overrated (Love you Sam but not sorry!). I mentioned before that Draculaura is listed as one of my top five LEAST favorite characters, but it's not because she's a bad character. She has good morals, she supports her friends and deals with her own struggles. But its more like she's... overly spoiled? Like it's clear she is the brand favorite if you look up how she has the most amount of dolls in the franchise. And even in the remakes she lives one of the best lives in the monster world.

As for her character in itself, I honestly have a hard time sympathizing with her. Even when the movie focuses on her such as WHY DO GHOULS FALL IN LOVE or FRIGHTS,CAMERA, ACTION, the movie instead overshadows the plot for something Laura wants rather than something important such as NOT LETTING DISCRIMNATION RUN FOR THE MONSTER WORLD VAMPIRES!

Draculaura can also be invasive at times to the point where its uncomfortable for the ghouls such as GHOULS RULE on trying to force Clawdeen on a date with a guy (before she's canonically a lesbian). She WAS the head of the gossip pool before Spectra came along. And also she tends to be over-materialistic. If it wasn't for the amount of money or hierarchy she has, I'm pretty sure she and Cleo would be banned from every kind of transportation system EVER. I'm also kind of bitter for the webisode 'Draculocker' of how instead of giving her some kind of infinite purse like Jimmy neutron style, they fill up the school with giant lockers so she can store stuff. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU SOLVE YOUR HOARDER PROBLEM!

So yeah for Draculaura, not hate but they could've done better with her character and humble her down. There are other monsters in the franchise that deserve limelight time.

Thought I answered this one already...

Porter is a fun and reliable manster!

So usually at this point, Monster High developed a pattern of introducing two to three new ghoul monsters and a manster in a boovie. And Porter is the manster for this one who pulls off actually pretty well.

He doesn't feel forced, he has a good role in the story and he's just so fun and spontaneous! Like he literally unleashes his inner artist while making the after life fun and I'm all with it. In a way, he reminds me a bit of Tidus from Final Fantasy 10 with a dash of Zack from 7. Plus his character design is on point.

His time with Spectra is only for the movie but it has chemistry. Clearly he's interested in her but goes about subtle ways to show it without just blatantly shouting it out. And she eventually warms up to him and feels the same, even in the harsh moment when she thought he betrayed her, it was all a front and makes her appreciate him all the more.

Good execution and good character.

Toralei growled as she found herself surrounded on all sides. These ghoul-damned goody-ghouls! Couldn't they just for once leave her alone?

Not that it really mattered, in the end. Despite what she'd promised Gigi -- with her claws crossed behind her back -- Toralei had never intended to really keep Catty's little relationship a secret. Catty Noir was a big name star, after all -- the world deserved to know those kinds of details about her life!

That's why Toralei had already scheduled the pictures to go up online. She had anonymous accounts across a few websites, and she had selected a handful to post the pictures to, just to be sure that the cat got out of the bag. They were all due to go up in a matter of minutes…

… and there was nothing the goody-ghouls could do about it.

The sound of someone's voice besides Cleo's brought Toralei back to the present. Catty was talking to Gigi, and Toralei's ears twitched as she focused on them instead of that jabbering mummy. When she could make out the words, the orange werecat rolled her eyes, huffing out an annoyed sigh.

"'Please don't shut me out,'" she mimicked, moving her claws like an additional mouth. Claw-d, how had she ever looked up to that silly singer?

"Honestly, I don't know why you even bother with her," Toralei said to Gigi gesturing dismissively toward Catty. Her fellow werecat didn't deserve any more attention than that. "I can't imagine saddling myself to a mewling kitten as pathetic as that."

She shrugged. "But, on the other hand, look who I'm talking to! It makes sense that one pathetic weakling would attract another pathetic weakling. I shouldn't really be so surprised."

Toralei's last few words though... struck a bit of a nerve. The genie didn't care if she was insulting her own being, but for Catty...

The jeers and callouts behind her from the other ghouls towards Toralei were ignored by Gigi as she embraced Catty with all her might...

... and then the moment was interrupted by the sounds of phones going off all at the same time.

Gigi pulled away as the ghouls gasped behind her, Frankie being the most vocal. Seeing the looks on their faces, Gigi's dread came back all at once seeing the headlines...

Deuce's character is really as chill as they portray him to be.

Deuce isn't some pretty boy who just happens to be the popular manster around the school. No he PROVES how he's popular because of his likable personality. Courteous, kind, patient and athletic. He depends on Cleo at times, but doesn't hesitate to encourage and help others. He's faithful, even when he gets jealous it's very cute. He's not just a standby character too as he helps out whenever his character is set to.

Though not my type of dream guy, he IS the dream guy for Monster High and it's not hard to see why. Plus he's the most sensible to being kind to ALL beings, even humans. Some mansters I know need a few pages out of his book.

Abbey is LITERALLY my spirit animal.

If I were a teen in high school I would be her. And not just because I'm a Sagittarius. Only difference is that fire would be my element, not ice.

But Abbey is so relatable, humble, funny and damn honest. Plus I totes love her accent. She literally saves the show and the ghouls ate certain points. She has some comedy to her being naturally funny but not enough to demote her as a comic relief. Abbey is also one of the most powerful monsters in the show. You can tell with her power, she has complete control and is not hesitant to use when needed.

Abbey is the kind of friend you should always count on and always treat right because you'd be surprised how much of a good ghoulfriend she can be to you. Deserves ALL the love!

Yes, I cheated. Do I give a fuck? NO!

Adrien... is a good character the show threw away. Demoting him to an abused sidekick/trophy boyfriend. I don't need to keep watching after season 3 to know how the route goes. I root for him as much as I can cause his personality is so unique and wonderful, not to mention you want to explore his unlooked background and perspective just because...

Adrien himself is a beautiful person with a way more interesting background as the protagonist. He's a celebrity with little to no control over his life thanks to his over-barring (if not abusive) father. Then becomes a superhero who is very much underappreciated and pushed alot to even physically abused by his spotted female fighting partner (she threw him in a trash can. That's abuse). Meanwhile, he still maintains the sweet personality of trying to be kind, courteous and selfless to people, even strangers. Even to the point of risking his life several times for the people he cares about. He also doesn't get enough support when he needs it because of the bias writing of the show and when it does happen, it get's taken away from him very quickly.

I don't even care about the love square anymore and will never ship it again after taking off the rose colored glasses to see the red-flags in SEASON ONE! (Presents till his 35 birthday and his private schedule is not love. It's STALKING and there's no fucking excuse!)

Marinette doesn't deserve him. Gabriel DAMN WELL doesn't deserve him. The SHOW doesn't deserve him. If I can take Adrien out of the show and put him in another, I'd gladly do so for his sake or just adopt him to treat him better. And i said several times I don't want kids but gods... this kid pulls my heart strings. The writing fucked up alot of characters, but Adrien takes the brunt of it. He is basically the Ken... WITH THE CREATOR ADMITTING THAT!!

There are only three people I can see with Adrien. Either Marc, Nathaniel or my OTP, LUKA.

It's hard not to rant when it comes to Adrien because you know they didn't do him right and you want to protest so much but you know he's never going to get it better in the show. That's why I'll love and support him even just through fanworks because he deserves it. I can't put it in any other way. Adrien is KENOUGH.
