Venus La Doll - as scanned from the September 1954 issue of Cavalcade of Burlesque.
Venus began her career as a comedienne, but found there was more money to be made as a burlesque dancer.  She was quickly a popular dancer performing mainly on the east coast - with references to clubs Detroit, Chicago, New York to name a few.  She was often billed as “The Bronze Goddess of Love”.
