but Rem... Rem would've loved Subaru unconditionally, regardless of all. she wouldn't care if he never looked at her as he looked at Emilia, if he hadn't reciprocated her deep and sincere feelings. 'cause in the end, Rem was fine with it. all she needed was to be able to stand by the person she loved, even at the cost of seeing him with someone else. she just couldn't hate Subaru, and no matter how hard she tried, it was impossible for her to repress what she really felt: sincere, pure, unconditional love. and Rem would've never stop doing it.

◆ Got abused and later abandoned by his parents, yet kept loving them & kept believing in family creating his “ideal” one

◆ Became vampires’ livestock & struggled to feed his family, yet kept smiling hiding his pain and carrying all the burden

◆ Got turned into a vampire, yet kept living with the sole purpose of saving his family

◆ Suppressed his thirst for 4 years in order not to become the monster he and his family always hated

◆ Is protecting the most precious person he has, trusts & loves with all his might

Because people need to understand his character isn’t only arrogance. He was such a good child, that he got toyed with, hurt & fooled.
