I'm kind of a perfectionist with this one and I just don't want it to be like some stories where it starts off strong then just isn't as good anymore

here's a little snippet from the next chapter of Hope Springs Eternal

It was quite funny how he could yearn for someone to take notice of him, to realize that he was there and yet as soon as someone did, he wished they wouldn’t.  Ungrateful. That’s what he was, wasn’t he?  Ungrateful for not appreciating he was given. Ungrateful for not caring that someone else would need this more than he did. Ungrateful for being willing, should he have the chance, to throw this opportunity away.  The snow was heavier now, the snowflakes bigger than they were minutes ago, when they’d all been out there amidst the wintery dust. Percy watched them fall. It was easier to do that then to meet the gazes of his brothers.  He imagined himself as a snowflake; falling, falling, falling down to the ground.  A mess of limbs, cracked bones, the pure white snow stained by his blood.  The last few blinks of life, the world fading until he was just gone.  “Percy.”  He flinched, head snapping over in the direction of Bill. “What?” He couldn’t help but be defensive, as if his brother had somehow known what he was thinking.

I really hope you update ‘Hope Springs Eternal’ soon. The cliffhanger is killing me so much. 😭

And your fanfic is just so phenomenal and touching, as someone who used to have depression and attempted suicide, Percy’s journey and story is so touching and realistic. You perfectly encapsulated the dangerous and depreciating intrusive thoughts as well as the sense of numbness that comes with it.

I really do hope you update soon it’s such a wonderful story, my favourite Harry Potter fanfic by far and I would hate to see it discontinued.

It's not discontinued

I just actually need to force myself to write lol I wasn't having any luck with inspiration and thought if I take a break, it'd just come to me and obviously that didn't happen

I did but it's not finished. I hope to write some more of it because it gets to be a year since I've updated it lol

Alas, I’m stuck on the next chapter of Hope Springs Eternal

I’m gonna have Bill and Charlie and Percy bond in this chapter. I just can’t think of a place where I want them to go to do that. It won’t be Diagon Alley , I know that. I want it to be somewhere quiet but I can’t think of anywhere

If anyone has ideas I’d love to hear them and I’ll credit you for it, of course

There's no hidden feelings. It's just one friend helping out another

I could do that for Percy and Oliver. That would be great lol like maybe Oliver's cousin is getting married and he isn’t dating anyone so he blurts out percy’s name and percy reluctantly agrees to help but of course there’s a lot of exasperation and bickering along the way
