Officially day two of being single. As pathetic as it sounds, I am somewhat proud of myself for not contacting him after our final words as it is so easy for me to end up feeling guilty (whilst not being in the wrong) and rope myself into trauma bonding with my ex boyfriend which has happened numerous times in our toxic 4 year relationship.

It hurts though....really bad. I could feel for a while it was going to be the end of our relationship as we kept clashing however I never would've thought it would've ended like this...ultimately being beat up by the person you lost everything for.

I seemed to have really lost myself in the relationship and forgot about my own priorities, and I do not think he even cared about my priorities either but how can you expect a man to care about you....if you do not even care about yourself.

And I have to start taking accountability. I chose the wrong men to go for then expect them to act like my dream partner. If I want to be treated and taken out, I need to stop declaring I'm a strong independent woman and stop paying for the bills the first date so it does not set as a precedent for the future. I need to stop dating men who show signs of stubbornness as it never helps me later on in the relationship, with being gaslight and manipulated every time you want to discuss any issues.

I want a new life and I want change. I need to make that happen. I am writing this so I can remind myself of how I feel and what I want so I do not end up in the same situation again. I want to be happy for once.

This morning I got beat up by my boyfriend for nicely asking why he was hiding messages with another girl.

This afternoon, I am finally single.
