platforming palestinian joy is just as important as sharing the suffering they're enduring during this genocide. despite continued displacement and bombardment, you cannot steal their joy and spirit. happy birthday to this sweet baby 🖤🇵🇸 may they grow up to see a free palestine
Yasha/Ashura - Ashura may be 300 but he spends 90% of series looking like a child. His relationship with Yasha appears parental most of the time but it's obvious Clamp thinks of them as one of their soulmates pairs. Plus yea, some shippy moments later on as well as murders. What to say, there's a reason why we compare rg veda to Shakespearean tragedies
Watanuki/Yuuko - I guess age gap is a thing that can leave some uncomfortable here, plus the fact that most of fanbase views their relationship as either parental or one of mentorship. Also there are things later on in manga that would add tons of angst onto this ship
Kaho/Eriol - where do I start? Kaho herself had a thing going on with Touya when he was her student (also was a middle schooler). Eriol looks like a child but he's actually a grown up man in child's body. And yes, they're dating
Doumeki/Kohane - their sin of being on this poll is loveless marriage lmao they're both in love with Watanuki but can't rly be with him in that manner for alot of reasons so they sort of made a pact to keep watching over him while he self destructs not really a problematic ship, more somewhat disliked in xxxholic fandom
Haruka/Watanuki - I guess age gap can be a bit ??? here since Watanuki and Shizuka are meant to be similar age and Haruka is Shizuka's grandfather (although dead one, he's a ghost). He arrives in Watanuki dreams and sometimes acts rly flirtatious with him hence another one in Watanuki's harem
Seisub - where do I begin? Started off with problematic age gap (25/16), lovebombing and wooing, ended up with stabbings, homoerotic betrayals, psychological torture and murders. Nine years later Subaru is a depressed angsty mess still chasing a man who ruined his life cuz he still wishes to matter something to him. And only way he thinks he can achieve that is by having Seishirou finally kill him like he should have nine years ago
Idk if this is still unpopular opinion or not, but I actually like ending of xxxholic (talking about main series only here). Initially I was a bit confused and it felt anticlimactic to me but there's something poetic about being on road of healing and never actually being able to get to the other side and forever being stuck within cages of your own mind
