In a sense, forgoing shaving consistently altogether is a logical progression. The toughest case of all just took a wrecking ball to everything Phoenix built for three years. Where there was once no time to spend on keeping the clean, professional look, now there is simply no reason. What does not make logical sense is the way staring at Phoenix’s prickly jaw scrambles Miles’s insides. The joints in his fingers tingle and there’s molten lava sinking from the pit of his stomach to his ankles. Such a strong reaction surely means Miles has an opinion on this change. He is full of opinions and they are often better off being kept inside his head until he gets behind the prosecutor’s bench. Snarky comments are easier to generate than greetings more often than not. Not a single jeer comes to mind. Miles’s tongue darts out to wet his lips. *** Five times Miles thought Phoenix was hot shit and one time Phoenix thought the same thing

demisexual Miles has to wrestle with the deeply bizarre and somewhat alarming experience of sexual attraction now that he is dating Phoenix! this fic made me laugh so hard but again, I really love the way this author writes Edgeworth, and the tenderness they put into Wrightworth is just so !!!! absolutely fucking delightful, fully recommend

DRAWTOBER #17 - Gay Tension! At The Work Mandated Gala by 3musketears

Phoenix’s heart is pounding when Edgeworth lifts his hand, but then he hesitates. In that moment of pause, Phoenix sees years of pressure weighing him down. Miles cried over folding a bad paper crane when he still had the father he idolized to tell him it was okay. Then he was fighting to be good enough in every aspect of his life, not even to be accepted, but to avoid being rebuked. It’s okay, Phoenix wants to say. Not as a platitude but an assertion. They’re not going to be very good dancers and that’s okay. Phoenix shoves past his own fear, past that nagging voice telling him to accept rejection. If he puts himself out there to be judged, silly and trivial as his fears may be, then maybe he’ll show Edgeworth how to do that too. “Can I have this dance?” *** Maya wants to be Franziska's plus one to the annual Policeman's Ball, which would leave Edgeworth without someone to keep him company through an event he's been dreading. If only there was a spiky haired defense attorney with no life who could do it...

this fic is absolutely freakin delightful and hilarious. not only does it give a fantastic Phoenix and Maya sibling dynamic (as illustrated) but a beautiful Wrightworth relationship that blossoms during "lawyer prom" - obviously, given who is involved, everything goes wrong and ridiculous shenanigans happen, but... at least there are no murders! I really like the way this author explores Edgeworth and, by extension, Wrightworth, and it's all over a fun and super sweet fic for a dreary october day.

To give Wright credit, Edgeworth completely believed that he locked himself out. “I actually hate fireworks,” Wright admits, “and I didn’t want to be alone so I decided to force you to keep me company.” What? *** Edgeworth isn't particularly excited about the sound of fireworks that comes every July. Nor is he excited about Phoenix Wright deciding this is a good time to show up at his office.
