Modern Acting AU: Off Screen
Modern AU where vision holders exist and Genshin Impact's the most popular TV series, with a game adaptation based on the actors and actresses?
Sorry I just have so many HCs for this.
Albedo is one of those actors balancing college and career flawlessly. He's top of his year and his year mates didn't even know he acted until Genshin Impact dropped its first season and he was announced to appear in the game.
His friends probably beg him to send on-set pictures. Albedo doesn't, for security and NDI reasons, but he does send pictures of Klee in her costume!
Venti's 'ehe' was impromptu because he forgot his lines and they went along with it.
Xiao as a very positive and comforting person?? everyone in set loves him and he's just so encouraging whenever filming takes its toll on everyone.
It's even funnier to see him switch to his cold character so quickly.
Razor having tons of pet dogs. He mentioned in an interview that he liked to observe them to practice his role.
Kaeya was the one to drag Diluc for auditions. They're childhood friends and just like on screen, their personalities still clash.
Diluc probably only did acting like one of those side hobbies. His dad signed him up for acting classes as a kid and he was unnaturally good at it, so Kaeya tries to drag him along. He didn't really think Genshin Impact would turn into an internationally loved series.
Childe's the type of actor to leak spoilers on his twitter ac. He gets scolded for it a lot too.
Jean was usually cast as the ditzy-blonde girl or the soft, girl-next-door type so playing the acting grandmaster was refreshing and she loves it!
They had to retake the We Will Be Reunited scene tons of times because Lumine and Aether couldn't stop laughing.
Some of the characters were probably recruited for superhero films like Marvel or DC since it's easier to have actual vision users do supposed-CGI scenes.
Diluc was probably offered a batman role??
Childe auditioned for spiderman once.
Filming Dragonspine scenes were a mess. All the scantily dressed characters would just huddle towards those with coats.
Xiao once got injured while filming his plunge attack. Qiqi couldn't stop crying and Zhongli had to pick her up and comfort her bc found family
Speaking of Zhongli, he's probably a really rich and famous actor already?? He's the perfect male lead in sappy romance dramas and the unbeatable action hero for mafia/fight movies, so he's got a pretty big fan base.
The younger characters like Klee, Qiqi, Diona, and Sayu call him grandpa though
Chongyun gives me teen model vibes.
Filming the lantern rite festival was a crowd favorite since a lot of the props and stalls were real and Mihoyo invited the rest of the Mondstadt and Inazuma actors to have fun before the set was removed.
Imagine all of them raising lanterns into the sky?? Everyone's instagram and twitter has pictures of the event where they're just enjoying each other's presence
Beidou, Kaeya, and Fischl bumping into stuff bc they're not used to wearing eye patches
Expect more of modern acting AU from me :)

Ayoooo!! I-I love your "looking for your favourites in SAGAU" aaaa And I can't stop thinking about Kazuha, Kaeya, Diluc and Albedo!!😭
note: Glad you mentioned this because I can't stop thinking of scenarios too 😭 Diluc and Kaeya may be high authority figures, but what if they put creator!MC on such high reverence that it seems like only archons or the president-equivalent in their nations are allowed to face you personally? But there you are, popping up and personally going out to meet/help them. More brainrots:
contains: bordering bimbo/himbo reader? head empty. just love for characters.
based on this sagau work (Thoma, Xiao, Zhongli)
Kazuha
"Your holiness, he's- he's a criminal wanted by the Shogunate army!" Kujou Sara tries to explain. You were sitting by the port, feet in the water, waiting for a rather large ship to dock in place.
"Mhmm!" You nod along, kicking the water around.
"Then why are you waiting for him?" She asked exasperated at your behavior.
"Ah! There's no time to waste, the ship has docked! Come on, let's go!" You stand up to rush to the bustling crowd of crew bringing down their goods, leaving Sara behind struggling to catch up. Thank archons you agreed to wear a cloak.
"Kazuhaaaa!"
The ronin turns away from his chat with Beidou to the sound of your voice, his mouth slightly agape.
"The winds told me to be wary but I wasn't quite expecting this," He mutters to the captain as they both blink at your approaching form.
"Tell me, Kazuha, am I dreaming or is that their divine Holiness?"
"Kazuha!" You're an arms reach away when the platinum blonde realizes he has to drop to a bow. A bow which never really happened as you decided to glomp him into a hug instead.
"Aaah just as I thought, you do smell like maple leaves and the sea!"
He's not quite sure what to do with this information, nor does he know what to do with your form pressing up against him in a full body hug. Also, what he smells like maple leaves? Beidou is the first to snap out of the initial shock, lowering her head in greeting before facing you.
"The Crux is honored to have the divine creator on board! And it seems you've taken a liking to one of our crew as well," She chuckles heartily before patting Kazuha's back. The ronin looks at her, still unsure of how to react.
"Kazuha, hug me back!" You pout at him and he blinks. A realization settles in his mind, you were quite different from what he expected, but he didn't dislike it at all. He smiles as his arms wrap around your waist— yeah, a hug sounds nice.
"Your holiness, he's a criminal!" You hear Sara, finally catching up to you.
"Doesn't that make him even cooler?"
Head empty. Just Kazuha behind your eyes.
Diluc
Nearly drops a glass when he sees you sitting on one of the bar high chairs, cloak over your head and excited glimmer in your eyes.
"Y-your holiness?"
Snaps out of it realizing that the most divine and revered being of Teyvat is sitting in a place full of drunkards and alcohol spills. It's nearing midnight and the chaos of the place reflects on Diluc's exhausted appearance. Why in archon's name are you here??
"To order a drink, of course! I heard from Venti that it's your shift, so..." You say it like it's obvious and he didn't realize how he asked that out loud, "One apple cider please!"
"If you don't mind me asking, where's your entourage? Shouldn't there be an archon guarding you?" Poor Diluc, doesn't quite know if he should kneel or apologize, which would definitely attract the attention of other bar goers. Worship and drunkards dont go well together.
"Well... I suppose Zhongli was watching me but I figured it'll be okay," You smile sheepishly and he's baffled because this is not okay and it's highly dangerous-
"Besides," You continue, leaning close and voice lowering to a whisper, "Wouldn't the safest place in Mondstadt be right next to the darknight hero?"
Cue Diluc's face turning the same shade as his hair. He isn't quite sure if it's the embarrassing nickname or your careless reasoning to approach him.

note: may or may not continue with the other characters: depends if i find inspiration for them so that all the scenarios are unique :) this seemed a bit rush so i hope it's okay

Family Roots 2
about: part 2 of Diluc, Kaeya, and a reader who's been looking for their brother after being abandoned as a child
note: Kaeya character analysis explaining his actions found below, after the fic!
First || Second (current)
༻✦༺ previously ༻✦༺
The door chimes open, the rain and thunder break the silence between you and the bartender. Boots clank on the wooden floorboards as someone makes their way to the bar where you sat.
"I can't believe there are actually some people other than Diluc who would drink grape juice."
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
A silver eye meets yours. There's a pregnant pause in the air and you're not sure why.
He's so familiar.
He's so so familiar as if the blurred image of an 8 year old boy finally clears in your head. You're hesitating — surely, the brother you've been searching for for the past 15 years couldn't have just... walked into you, right? Are you deluding yourself that it's him? Are you so desperate to find him that you'd dub any lookalike as him?
Then you notice the way his hand twitches, his jaw slacks a little and his eye widens. There's hesitation in his actions and you realize that perhaps, he's thinking of the same things as well.
"You... You're my brother, aren't you?" And it comes off as shaky and careful, you reach a hand out but pause midway. Kaeya doesn't reply, his eyes scanning your own eyes, your face, your entire form. Perhaps he can't believe that you were there in front of him? Or perhaps he's having a hard time accepting that the little 5 year old in his memories had grown so much.
"Archons, you are, aren't you?" You're holding back a choked sob. Why isn't he saying anything? You've been searching for him for years yet he's standing frozen, acting as if you're not the only family he has left-
"I don't have a sibling," and he claims it so quickly you do a double-take. He turns on his heel, heading back towards the tavern door to leave and you're shocked at his sudden confession. That isn't true, you think, I'm right here. I'm your sibling.
You stumble as you leave your chair, reaching out to grab his cloak when he turns towards you harshly. His expression was cold and his jaw clenched.
"I don't have any other sibling,"
"How-" You stand up to face him, grabbing him again to prevent him from leaving, voice raised, "How could you say that! I've spent my life searching for you, I've worked my way up in Fontaine just to find you-"
"You wasted your time,"
"You're my brother! I know it— you- you're just like him in my memories, you're my b̸̨̛̗́ŕ̸̨̧́̈́͘o̷̞͑̄́̕t̴͇́̿͜h̷͉͉͒̅͝e̵̱̙̳͑̈͆r̵̻̹͖̈--"
There's a hand over your mouth. You look up to notice just how close he is; a glint in his eyes and you aren't quite sure what for.
"Don't-" He breathes in shakily, eyes boring into yours, "Don't use that language. Not out here. Never." And he slowly releases you from his hold. He takes a glance at Diluc, the pyro user long forgotten was watching the scene from behind the bar, eyes furrowed and arms crossed. There's tension in the air and you noticed how the three of you are the only ones left in the establishment.
"Why..." Tears start to well up in your eyes. You don't understand why he's so adamant to deny you. The two men turn to look at you but you avoid their gaze and stared at the floor. "Why... I only wanted to find you. I- I want to understand. I don't understand— there's so much I don't understand!" At this point, you're hiccuping as you look up at your brother, a troubled expression on his face.
"Do you know what it's like to not even speak the language of Fontaine? How lost I felt?" You sobbed out loud, fists clenched. "I was only 5 years old! I was begging for scraps! How was I supposed to understand anything!"
"I- I waited for you to pick me up from the rain. I waited for father! Father- I don't understand why he'd even do this! I just want to know who I am! Where I'm from-" At this, Kaeya's eyes widened as he grabs your shoulders tightly.
"You don't remember?" He questions and you tilt your head up at him confused. "You don't remember what father said?" He repeats slowly.
You pause, unsure of his reaction, but decided to shake your head no. He looks at you in shock, uncertainty, he hesitates and his grip on your shoulders tighten.
"Do you remember... what's before Fontaine?" He inquires and your heart soars a little at the acknowledgment. He remembers you, he's not denying you, he's asking about you.
"E-everything before that is a blur. I was only 5," You utter as his grip loosened. With a hand still on your shoulder, he stares at you. You're not sure whether he's feeling sad or conflicted, maybe both judging from his expression. You decided to take this chance to grab his hand between your hands, "The only thing I remember is you! I remember you so please-"
Kaeya pulls you in for a hug. His hug is tight and almost consuming, you bend at the waist as he wraps his arms around you. For a moment you wonder if he's crying but when tear stains start to litter his shoulder, you realize you're the one crying.
"I'm glad, I'm glad," He whispers like a mantra quietly, almost to himself. You ponder what he's glad for but you hope he's glad because you're here. Soon he's comfortingly patting the back of your head and you wonder why did it take so long for him to hold you like this.
"Ahem,"
You both turn towards the redhead, the man in question still standing in the same position as when you first noticed him. Kaeya releases his grip on you and stands back straight. You embarrassingly lower your head towards the bartender.
"A-ah, I'm sorry we had to do this in the bar during closing time, mister! I- we'll take this elsewhere-" You offer but was closely cut off bu Kaeya.
"Nonsense! This calls for a sibling reunion," The cryo user smiles, gesturing for the bar tops. The bartender narrows his eyes at the man, "Y/n, meet your eldest brother!"
"What?"
"What!" Both your heads snap in his direction. The bartender? Your eldest brother? What does he mean? Before you could ask, he's on the bar counter chattering. You slowly realize this was the first time he called you by name. It's comforting how he says it, even moreso that he remembers.
"And can we get a refill for my darling sibling's grape juice and some Once Upon a Mondstadt as well," He gestures at Diluc before turning to you, "You haven't eaten enough, have you? By the looks of it, you haven't been eating well at all." You nod your head slowly in agreement. The redhead glares at him but complies with the order anyway.
"B-but wait- Isn't it closing time? Shouldn't we leave? We don't want mister to get in troubl-"
"I own the place."
"He owns the place." You gape at the two as they reply in unison. Brother? Bar owner? Two brothers? There's a lot of information you aren't quite absorbing as fast as you should.
A part of you is a little shocked at how quickly Kaeya recovers from denying you. As if he didn't spend the last few moments trying to get away from you, now here you are having a meal between your two... "brothers".
Kaeya sits you down next to him. There's a comforting hand on your back as if he's trying to reassure himself that you're there. You want to ask for your answers now, about father, about lands long forgotten, about why you had to be abandoned, but you remember your brother's sour reaction to it and decided to keep it on the back burner for now. You'll relish in his attention for now.
Diluc slides the plate of Once Upon a Mondstadt, his specialty of a Pile 'Em Up. You drool at the sight, stomach grumbling despite having eaten.
"Have you been alone all this time?" Kaeya worried as you look up from your plate of food. He's staring at you, slight worry in his face. It feels odd to have someone feel concerned after living independently all this time.
"N-no, not really. Father dropped me in front of a noble household, I was lucky enough to be taken in," You say, swallowing down your food.
"You were adopted?" There's a small smile on his face that fell when you shook your head.
"Oh, no way! Who would adopt an unknown orphan? They took me in as a servant-in-training. I was still young so it was mostly dirty work, b-but they fed me well and I was eventually promoted as a formal servant!" You admitted proudly. Fontaine was quite the high profile nation, after all. To work your way up in the ranks of servants was a quiet honor for you. "A-and you? Were you well here?" You inquire.
"Ah..." Kaeya blinks at you with a frozen wide smile, he nervously glances at Diluc. The redhead looks away, busying himself with cleaning the bar top. "You could say that I lived well..."
How was he supposed to admit that he was adopted and spoiled rotten by the most prestigious household of Mondstadt? He'll keep away from the topic for now.
"By the way... You mentioned that he's... my eldest brother?" You indicate towards the pyro user curiously. There's a glimmer in Kaeya's eye as he smirks at Diluc.
"Why don't you introduce yourself, Diluc?" He teases.
Red eyes flicker between the two of you. He sighs, "Diluc Ragnvindr," he affirms, "We... lived together for quite a while."
Whether you noticed the awkward atmosphere or not, you didn't mention it; instead you beamed at the two with a wide smile.
"I'm glad you weren't alone, Kaeya!" You bubbled before turning to Diluc, "And to think I was ranting to you about finding my brother. Turns out, I found an honorary one as well!"
Diluc couldn't help but offer a small smile back.
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
"Do you have a place to stay?" Kaeya inquires. You were both outside the tavern, the rain finally left, leaving light pitter patters falling from the roofs.
"I've saved enough to stay a few weeks at an inn. I'm planning to look for an apartment a-and maybe a job-"
"Why not work at Angel's share?" Kaeya confronts, turning to Diluc who was closing the tavern doors, "If I remember correctly, there's an opening for a server, right?"
There's no opening, Diluc thinks but sighs and nods his head anyway, "Come by tomorrow and Charles will check your résumé. Since you already have experience, I'm sure you'll do fine."
"As for living arrangements. Why not stay with me for a while?" The cryo user offers, "If you're alright with it, that is..."
"Yes! That'll be great!" Your arms find their way around him once again. Although his form felt cold on yours as a cryo user, all you could feel was complete and utter warmth. You found a place for yourself now; after wandering for so long, you're finally not alone. "I'm so glad I finally found you," You mumble to him and he's a little too shocked to react.
"I-... I'm glad as well," He utters, holding you just as close. He'll make sure to protect you. He'll keep you close and safe; something he couldn't do back then. He'll do anything for you, even if it's keeping you in the dark about the truth.
You'll find a home in him and in Mondstadt.
Let's just hope you won't hate him the day he takes that away from you.
༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
Some notes to conclude this chapter:
When Kaeya said "I don't have any other sibling," he meant that the only person he considers his siblings is Diluc
Kaeya wants you to work in Angel's Share because if there's anyone he could rely on to look after you, it's Diluc
Diluc agreed because he knows of Kaeya's intentions
Diluc might always feel suspicious around you. Trust issues he earned because of Kaeya. He doesn't exactly acknowledge you openly as a sibling, but he treats you well.
I like to think Diluc taking care of you is his way of repenting for his anger towards Kaeya.
I also like to think that with reader's presence, Diluc would better understand Kaeya's inner conflict. He was just a child abandoned by his father, after all. They're all traumatized and hurt here.
Maybe an eventual sibling reconciliation would happen this way
Kaeya's Character Analysis
We don't know much about Kaeya's story but here's what I speculate. I honestly believe that Kaeya's coping mechanism is drawing a line between his two lives. On one side, he's the cavalry captain of Mondstadt and the adopted Ragnvindr son. He's grown to fully accept that identity because it is who he is. On the other hand — when the time that he has to fulfill his "duty" comes — he's a Khaenri'an and a planted spy.
I think the sudden appearance of a sibling would be like a slap-in-the-face kind of reminder. He's been on his own for so long, "deluding" himself that he's a part of Mondstadt. By denying you as his sibling, he's denying his duty and delaying his eventual betrayal. He's trying to retain his identity in Mondstadt. Remember that Kaeya's relationship with Diluc was destroyed because of his true identity. I feel like this left a lasting impression that his role holds more weight than any sibling relationship. (Imagine opening your heart to your brother only to be shut down. Kaeya probably admitted the truth to Diluc because he wanted to prioritize their sibling bond, but Diluc's rejection might have made a lasting impression that him being a Khaenri'an is enough to break that bond).
Kaeya probably internalized that you also hold duty over blood relations; so when you admitted that you don't remember, he's both relieved and aguished. Relieved because you're not there to uphold any mission or to destroy his carefully made delusion as a citizen of Mondstadt, but anguished that he's more alone than ever.
We don't know much about Kaeya's hidden role which I think is great and adds to the mystery in this fic. We're the reader, feeling lost and confused. My character analysis is more of a rant than an organized explanation but I hope you get what I'm saying hahahah

of dreams and tea
pairing: kamisato ayato x gn!reader
genre: fluff, mutual pining, childhood friends to lovers
warnings: mention of death
w.c: 1.2k
synopsis: growing up came with too many responsibilities. but it could also be beautiful, if shared with the ones you have loved for as long as you remember.
a/n: based on the “wistful reminiscence” prompt for axia’s @yelans spring serenade event! thank you so much for letting me be apart of this and i’m happy to share my first ayato piece!
when you first met ayato, you didn’t know why you had ditched your friends to play with bugs.
just because you where given the rare opportunity to stumble upon the eldest son of the yashiro commission, didn’t mean you had to follow him around for the rest of the festival. he was going to get in trouble for meddling amongst the crowd instead of standing on the sidelines with his parents, and you were guaranteed a hefty scolding from your own family for ‘bothering’ the future of inazuma. yet, here you were, at seven years old, frolicking with someone that many commonfolk didn’t even get to meet as adults.
“this is so much better than that crowded place, isn’t it?” ayato smiles upon watching his onikabuto beat yours. “there’s not even a firework show this year! lame!”
you don’t know how to respond, already embarrassed from watching your pathetic bug representative topple over at the mercy of ayato’s. he cheers victoriously, and you wonder how he could be so content with openly criticizing all of the work his family had put into this year’s festivities.
“um…won’t your parents be mad at you for saying something like that?” you ask.
“nah. though they do say that i’m a ‘troublemaker’ and are a bit worried about me inheriting all of the clan’s responsibilities,” he was very self-aware for someone his age. mischievous, but thoughtful. this was the kind of kid who’d grow up to be a scheming, albeit considerate leader.
“but i’m the perfect prince anyway! i’m strong, handsome, funny, smart, and everyone loves me!”

random quotes i wrote while crying about a game at 3am and the genshin character that said it;
Tumblr media
ALBEDO: if something happens to me and i start to change, let me be, for it means that i'm tired of this world; but i beg you, i beg you, don't let me change the essence that makes you love me.
GOROU: i think I love you more today than i did yesterday. not because my love was lost yesterday and i let myself be carried away by the paths of uncertainty; but because today i got to know you a little more and i fell in love with a new essence of yours.
DILUC: i don't believe there's a destiny, i don't believe there is anything greater in the universe that commands us at will and uses us as a puppet; but i do believe we were meant to meet, for my heart only knew peace when it found you.
XIAO: maybe it's too much to ask, and i'm even stepping your boundaries, but i'd like to hold you one more time, just to remember the last time i was truly happy.
AYATO: the lines on your hand represent the paths you took in your previous life until you found your true love; and the coincidence of our lines being the same, it's only up to the gods to explain why.
ITTO: i've heard that the smiles we wear so proudly on our faces cause discomfort in the villages we pass through; maybe it's because they think we're crazy... or worse!, maybe they've discovered that we're in love.
CHILDE: the illusion that we are happy only makes sense when you kiss me with your lips thirsty for affection.
KAEYA: the day you leave me will be the day i will give up my essence; for without you by my side for me to surrender, what purpose would my helpless soul have?
ZHONGLI: i love you. simply that. purely and deeply. i love you.
KAZUHA: the stars tell the stories of the infinite and their various conquests in fields of war and love. but the moon? the moon exists only to serve you, illuminating your beauty and carving your way to your next conquest, night after night, until you join it.

BUB BUB BUB I HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU, snuggles with albedo and Kaeya (separate), like CUDDLES, SNUGGLES, FLUFFY ADORABLE MOMENTS THAT MAKE PEOPLE HAVE CAVITIES with a gender neutral reader pls :DD thank you💕
cuddle sessions
feat. Albedo, Kaeya, Scaramouche
Tumblr media
ALBEDO
“I’m home” Albedo softly calls out the moment he opens the front door
he had just gotten back from his work truly exhausted from today’s events (there was an incident involving Timaeus)
Albedo immediately sets his bag down before instantly slumping onto the couch just as you came into the room after hearing his voice
you walked over to the couch, softly chuckling at the sight of your boyfriend
his eyes were closed, but the moment he heard your voice they flickered open
and in one quick motion, he pulls you down onto the couch with him, hugging you close
“long day?” you ask, wrapping your own arms around him in an attempt to snuggle even more into him
“very long. I couldn't wait to get back home to see you” he murmurs
as much as Albedo loved his work, he sought out comfort from you. the joy you brought to him was something even he couldn’t replicate with science
"alright, but since you got home, you really should eat something!” you say, preparing to get up to get some food for him
but Albedo pulls you back down, holding you tighter than before
“please, just let me recharge first. Just for a little bit” he says
and so the two of you lay there on the couch in each other’s arms
Albedo starts humming a quiet tune to himself, and hearing his gentle voice made your eyelids grow heavier and heavier
that ‘little recharge’ Albedo had wanted was extended into you two falling asleep, cuddling one another
and honestly, that was his plan all along
KAEYA
you expected to come home to an empty house, but to your surprise, Kaeya was home
“oh? I thought you were gonna go to Angel’s Share tonight?” you ask, shrugging off your coat
Kaeya, sitting on the couch, crosses his arms and pouts
“there’s no point in going if Diluc isn’t there. who else am I supposed to tease?” Kaeya sighs dramatically
you sit down next to your boyfriend, and he rests his head on your shoulder
“that sounds awful. You must have had such a rough day” you chuckle, rolling your eyes playfully at the situation
“Why yes it was. Thank you for acknowledging my struggles babe” Kaeya says, stifling his own laughter
after a slight pause, he lifts his head up from your shoulder to adjust how the two of you were sitting
and when he was finished... well in this case the two of you were no longer sitting
instead you were laying on the couch, wrapped in his arms, and you could feel his face in the crook of your neck
"mmm even if Diluc was working tonight, nothing beats being with you Y/n” he says, his breath tickling your neck
“well, I’m glad to know that you prefer being around me over your own brother” you reply, causing Kaeya to let out a loud laugh
it was all true though, having you right next to him and in his arms was something that even all of the wine in Teyvat couldn’t amount to
SCARAMOUCHE
"Just where do you think you’re going?” a voice stops you as your hand reaches out to open the front door
you turn your head slowly to see your boyfriend leaning against the doorframe of your shared bedroom, his arms crossed
Scaramouche had just woken up, and the moment he heard you shuffling about he sprung to his feet to catch you right before you left the house
“I’m just gonna run some errands right now!” you honestly tell him
“no you’re not. I know for a fact you stayed up late last night so you’re gonna go right back to bed” he says, but you ignored his words
“I’m just fine you know. Plus it’ll be really quick so- aH” before you could finish your sentence, Scaramouche grasped your hand and was dragging you back to bed
he got into bed and pulled you down next to him before using his arms to hold you close to him, draping one leg over you to prevent you from leaving
“If you won’t go to bed for your own sake, at least stay in bed for me... I don’t want to be alone” he murmurs
you silently curse at your boyfriend- how dare he be this cute
still, you didn’t fight or resist him at all, you lay there in bed, surrounded by the warmth Scaramouche gave off
your eyelids were growing heavy and you curse at the fact that he knew that you were lacking sleep
not that you were mad at him for being attentive towards you- it warmed you up knowing he cared for you like this
and before you knew it, you drifted back to sleep, practically cradled by your boyfriend
you hate to admit it, but this was far better than going out to run errands

Hi may I request a scenario where readers is part of the knights of favonious and reader likes diluc and tries their best to work hard, so y/n can show diluc that the knights arent as bad? If you’re busy feel free to ignore this!! i love reading your works, hope you’re doing well btw 💗
changing impressions
feat. Diluc
Tumblr media
You knew Diluc wasn’t fond of the Knights of Favonius. You didn’t exactly know why, and of course you respected his boundaries and never pushed for an answer. But still, it made your heart ache just a bit knowing that.
Especially since you were a knight yourself.
On your day off, you were running personal errands around Mondstadt when you ran into Diluc. Quite literally.
“Oh I- I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going because I was too busy looking at my shopping list, are you alright?” you ask.
Diluc lightly chuckles, bending down to pick up the small sheet of paper you dropped.
“A small bump isn’t going to cause me any damage Y/n” he says, and when you reach for your list, he holds it out of your reach.
“I have some free time, let me help you with your errands” Diluc offers. You nod excitedly, and the two of you make your way to Mondstadt’s General Goods for some produce.
“So, how’s work with the Knights of Favonius?” Diluc asks you, a slight disdain lingering in his voice. Ah, right. As friendly as he was with you, you couldn’t help but wonder whether he actually resented you for joining.
“It’s going well!! I went on a handful of smaller expeditions earlier this week. There’s been some strange anomalies happening on the outskirts of Mondstadt, you know.” you recalled, picking out a few potatoes.
“Hmm, are the knights overworking you or something? That’s a lot of work for you in just a week” Diluc points out, adding a couple of more potatoes to your basket.
“No! In fact, I’m the one volunteering for all of these expeditions! It’s a knight’s duty to keep Mondstadt safe of course!” you exclaim, being careful to pay attention to Diluc’s expression. You truly did like the Knights of Favonius, and you wanted Diluc to share these same sentiments with you.
Diluc smiles at you, “You’re a hard worker Y/n, just don’t overdo it, alright?”
Your heart couldn’t help but flutter at his words. He was always making you feel like you were walking on clouds. But these feelings were always weighed down when you remembered his dislike for the Knights of Favonius. Every time you brought up something that you did, Diluc would solely commend you for your actions, saying nothing about the organization you were a part of.
“We’re all hard workers you know” you murmur.
“Hm?” Diluc asks, becoming worried after noting how your expression became more somber.
“All of us. The knights. I know you keep saying how I’m doing a good job but keeping Mondstadt safe is a group effort you know!” you say a bit louder, feeling more desperate in your attempts to get Diluc to see that the knights weren’t as bad as he makes them out to be.
Your little outburst causes you to panic, realizing that you just acted out of line for a dutiful knight. Fortunately, Diluc notices this. He quickly pays for your groceries before taking your hand into his and walking to an empty alley of Mondstadt.
“I’m sorry for acting like that! It wasn’t my intention to be so volatile I just-”
“Y/n, calm down for a second. I know you’re a knight but you don’t have to be so rigid with yourself. Especially around me. In fact, I feel like I’m the last person that you need to be so formal with when it comes to the Knights of Favonius.” Diluc interrupts. His gaze is heavy, and you find it hard to meet his eyes.
“I just.... wanted to show you that the knights are good. I know that you don’t see us in a fond light. Because as a knight....” you sigh in between thoughts, ready to just be open with him, “I can’t help but get upset knowing that you could hold some disdain for the position I’m in”
Diluc takes in your words and is silent for a moment, choosing the right words to say to you.
“You know Y/n…. it’s not as black and white as you think. You have to remember, I was a dedicated member of the Knights of Favonius myself. Their duty to protect Mondstadt is quite commendable” he starts, watching carefully as you nod along to his words. You were too cute- he nearly forgot what he was supposed to say.
“Uh anyways,” he clears his throat for a second, “I do have my own hangups about the knights as a whole. There are some things I don’t particularly agree with the ways they carry their business… That being said I don’t resent the knights as individuals. Including you”
Your eyes brighten at that, a weight feeling lifted off your shoulders. It was still unfortunate he didn’t view the knights favorably, but you’re sure that was his own personal issue and not something you could easily sway.
“Including me?” you ask back, a small smile already forming on your face. Diluc chuckles, leaning down to lessen the height difference between the two of you.
“Especially you, Y/n” he says, pleased at the way your face suddenly gets flustered. Your thoughts were a complete scramble at this point as you tried to process what his words.
“Alright, let’s go finish your errands Y/n” Diluc chuckles, walking away from you as if nothing had happened.
You’d have to get back at him for this. Off duty of course- you still had to uphold your title as a knight after all.

when they get into a fight
feat. Diluc, Ayato, Thoma, Zhongli
note: violence lol, mild mentions of harassment in Thoma’s, Y/n doesn’t know Zhongli is an archon
Tumblr media
DILUC
Diluc had his back facing towards the tavern door when he heard it open.
“Hey, what can I get y-”
“You got into a fight with someone?!” he hears an all too familiar voice. But instead of the usual loving tone you had, your voice was a mixture of disbelief and panic. Diluc turns around, only to find you already behind the bar to inspect his exposed skin for any visible injuries. But you couldn’t find any, as indicated by the confused look you wore on your face.

amusing beginnings.
premise: the dramatic prelude of a tale spun by the workings of fate, weaved with strings of scarlet linking futures untold. this is a story of innocence, of unforeseen encounters offering no clue of a romance that will blossom much, much later — this is how you begin together, yet there is no telling if there will ever be a proper conclusion for the prose you call love.
or, plainly speaking, a series of meet-cute scenarios i am far too lazy dedicating individual fics for. i just wanted to sound smart about it.
includes: xiao & itto !
Tumblr media
xiao, a friend from an mmo game
moving to a different town and entering a new school in the middle of the year... are inconvenient. friend groups within the class had already been established, and badgering your seatmate to put up with your presence during lunch break or free time outside of lessons when you just don't click together as friends doesn't sound very appealing.
it doesn't help that you aren't extroverted, bumbling and awkward as you try to interact with others more. but if you don't want to feel like a loser for the entire year, you'd have to exert some effort to make friends.
so when you hear about a multiplayer game everyone's been raving about, you thought that was your chance to fit in — after all, if you had common interests with your classmates, couldn't you invite them to play together or something?
thus, you download the game, lament the astronomical numbers of space it took up in your storage, and experiment with the controls until you get more familiar with them.
except some high-leveled assholes who have nothing better to do keep killing your poor level 1 in-game character, armed with a dull sword, starter equipment, and flimsy armor that had no way to defend against level 41 fire blasts, and wait until you respawn to do it all over again. with this hindering your progress, you couldn't complete the main quest in order to advance to the next area.
they taunt you in the world chat, too obnoxiously prideful for someone miserable enough to pick on amateurs, and that's when he appears:
geared in what looks like expensive armor, equipped with rare weapons retrieved from the highest difficulty of dungeons, his name written in bright front and his level, 174, just above it. alatus, his ID reads.
it takes him no more than one move to wipe them all out.
what are you doing? he types in the world chat. hurry up and go before they respawn.
thank you so much!!!!! you reply with a flurry of exclamation points and emotes, shocked that you'd run into someone so high leveled right off the bat. the other players in the server watching the spectacle seem to think he's intimidating and steered clear of him, making a wide circle around you.
though he told you to hurry up, he lingers by your side, almost like he's guarding you. he escorts you all the way until you finish the main quest, not speaking a word and only silently killing surrounding enemies too high for your level.
you wonder if it would be too cheeky of you to send a friend request; he's one of the best in the server, boasting all kinds of achievements and artifacts in his player profile. why would he be interested in befriending a newbie like you?
you're terrible at this, he sends in the chat. this is the first i've seen anyone flubbing basic attacks. don't just press any button you see.
you cringe. his words are harsh but truthful. you kept pressing the wrong buttons to dodge and always receive the brunt of the attacks.
however, you pause when a notification flashes on your screen: player alatus has sent you a friend request! accept or decline?
jolting, you scramble to click accept, lest he take it back last minute. can he even do that? whatever. following that is a present from a friend sent to your mailbox, a pair of level 50 dual blades and defensive armor. they pale in comparison to his current gear, but they're plenty powerful for normal players, especially for an amateur who barely just reached level 7 after grinding some missions (and with help).
old equipment. needed to clear out my inventory, he adds, as if he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea.
you've lost track for the amount of times you've thanked him in the past hour or so, and you try to send more exclamation points and different emotes so you wouldn't appear like a broken record. though i appreciate everything, can i ask you why you're helping a new player like me? you ask tentatively, eager to hear his answer.
there isn't much else you can do at this level. that's all there is to it. and you were pitiful.
...kind of pretentious, but okay...
can i play with you again some other time? you type before the thought of wanting to do so even registers in your mind. not just so you can help me. it's been really fun spending time with you!!!
three minutes of silence pass. your confidence to reach out and make friends shriveled up and died.
sure.
then, later, i usually play at evening or at midnight. our schedules might not line up.
there's no problem! i stay up most nights, too!
then i'll see you some other time. i'm logging off.
relief crashes over you, only dwindling when alatus has gone offline. he was fine with being friends... and promised to play together again in the future... well, maybe not promise, but something like it, and that's enough.
--
the months fly by, and opposed to your prior concerns, you fit in class just fine. playing the mmo game to have a common interest with your classmates was the right move, and it had opened ways for you to connect with others more through other similar hobbies.
but even after you achieved your goal, you didn't drop the game. you're not the most avid player, but you grind dungeons a normal amount, clearing time-limited events if you find them entertaining enough.
it's mostly just to spend time with alatus, though.
alatus, or xiao as you later learned after you exchanged your real names, is quite the charmer. not that you've ever seen his face; he is just... cute, in general. he appears gruff and intimidating, but really, he's an awkward guy who can't act soft because it's “undignified.”
you think he is sweet and kind, though you'll never say it to his face since it'll only make him feel embarrassed. not only does he come to save you each time you tell him you're having a hard time defeating a boss in your private chat, and he gives away precious weaponry and potions to you exclusively as if any other player wouldn't willingly hand over all their gold just to get a piece of it, he makes a great listener.
you have a bad habit of rambling and getting immersed in your thoughts at late hours of the night. you speak of your insecurities, your weaknesses, your fears, and he listens even if he doesn't type a reply all throughout your flood of messages. he keeps his response concise, but they're thoughtful advice, ones that you take into heart. he's a comforting figure, regardless of being a stranger behind a screen.
sometimes, you like to think you're sorta the same for him. xiao isn't as straightforward as you when he wants company, but he asks if you can stay online longer than usual, just to talk or to do the more relaxing tasks in the game. he trusts you to an extent, enough to offer exchanging real names at least.
enough to ask you to marry him.
your in-game character, of course! what else could that possibly mean?! okay, so you may have nearly fallen out of your chair in shock when he sent you a marriage proposal through chat of all things, but that's all it means! nothing more!
there was a couples-exclusive event dungeon, and the loot was desirable. some beautiful skins for pure cosmetic, and also a power-enhancing ring that you couldn't find anywhere else. xiao, the game nerd that he is, couldn't pass it up.
so yeah. technically, you can say you married him.
it was a hot topic at some point. alatus was one of the best players in the server, notorious for his aversion to cooperating with others, and he hadn't married anyone despite all the rewards you could reap with the marriage function.
then there's you, level 47, not especially skilled in anything, not especially appealing in your character's outward appearance, and not especially... notable. the very meaning of an average player, so to speak. he specifically chose you, but nobody could understand why.
well. whatever. the marriage is old news already. the present hottest news is the huge gaming convention to come in two weeks. fans are hyping it up and you'd be lying if you said you weren't excited too. in fact, your friends already made plans with you to come on a weekend.
when you talk to xiao about it, there's a rare moment of hesitance before he types out a reply, almost like the times where he gets nervous before asking you a favor.
are you going too? you ask, grinning to yourself.
yeah, he answers back. a minute and a half of silence.
then, startlingly, do you want to meet up?
you've always doubted the feasibility of choking on air before, but after experiencing it firsthand, you learn that anything really is possible. including meeting the elusive guy you've had a massive crush on, no matter how unlikely it seemed.
--
you are severely late.
but! for good reason! you'd hate to look like a hobo, so you made sure to dress nicely! ...maybe too nicely for a gaming convention where everyone will be sweaty and icky, but better prepared than sorry!
somehow, i'm not even surprised, reads xiao's text — yes! you exchanged numbers! — and you can picture him scoffing at the other end. don't rush and trip in the middle of running. i'm not going anywhere.
you ignore the way your heart skips a beat at that and focus on getting there safely. he said to do just that, after all. but while waiting at the crosswalk, you wonder what xiao really looks like... would he be tall and scary? or unexpectedly soft and cute?
in all honesty, you should've sent pictures of yourselves to identify each other easier at the venue, but against your better judgment, you suggested only describing your attire and keeping your appearances a secret because the mystery is “fun” and it'd be nicer to see each other for the first time face to face. (you've only been trying to prolong your inevitable death, because whatever he looks like, you're bound to fall deeper anyway.)
i'm here, you text to him, beginning to anxiously look around your surroundings. he said to meet up at the entrance, and there are more people than you expected...
i'll find you. stay by the first advertisement banner at the front.
alright!
you bite your lip, clammy hands holding your phone tightly. you're a lot more nervous than you thought you would be. did you look okay? you've asked your friends over and over again if you looked presentable, enough times to annoy them, probably. you styled your hair differently too... you wonder if it looks weird. xiao said he would be wearing a green jacket and dark pants, and he had piercings in his ear, and then you can't remember what else because oh my god, what does xiao look like with piercings in his ear.
you snap out of your thoughts when a path opens up in front of you. first, there are disgruntled noises from people being pushed away, then they disappear like wisps of smoke the second after. quiet gasps of surprise come from the group of girls nearby, and if you had to guess, it would likely be a good-looking cosplayer passing by.
the figure stops in front of you, sneakers in your line of sight where you stare blankly at the floor. slowly, your eyes rake up — dark fitting jeans, a trail of silver chains disappearing under the hem of a green jacket, a white shirt printed with dragons...
you're reluctant to glance anywhere higher above the line of his neck.
“[name]?”
fuck.
it's him.
you take a deep breath, squeezing your eyes shut. then you look up, properly.
you see golden eyes, specks of stars glittering in his irises.
his skin is pale, pink from the warm sun. his lips are pink too, a traitorous part of your mind marvels, slightly parted in surprise and shaped around an o. his hair is dark, tied up into a messy ponytail, sharp tips dyed in teal poking his cheek, framing the sides of his face.
oh no. he's hot.
he is so hot.
and he's staring at you.
“x... xiao?” your voice comes out strangled. embarrassingly. oh god. you are so fucked.
his face grows redder, and he scratches his cheek. “...that's me.”
silence.
you have to say something.
“do you... want to go outside?” he coughs into a fist. “the event has already started.”
“uh, yeah! sure! of course!” you ramble, walking past him in the hopes you wouldn't make a bigger fool of yourself. your face looks weird, surely. “i can't wait to see the cosplayers! they're also announcing a new chapter for the main story today, aren't th-”
“wait.”
he catches your wrist. you stop breathing, at risk of choking on air again.
“it's crowded.” his hand curls tighter. oh no. “don't get lost.”
“i won't, what are you talking about?” you laugh awkwardly. seeing him, hearing him, touching him, is such a strange thing.
“i wouldn't be surprised if you did.” his fingers dip lower, fitting in the spaces within yours. properly holding your hand. oh. oh. “so don't wander off without me.”
“yeah.” you're positively breathless. “yeah. i won't.”
he squeezes your hand. you're not looking at him directly, but you see him tilting his head at the corner of your eye. “...no complaints about this?”
“none at all.”
“okay.” he squeezes again. carefully, tenderly. his palms are sweaty. at least that tells you you're not the only one nervous. “if you say so.”
itto, a delinquent in the downpour
arataki itto is an idiot.
an idiot who keeps picking fights with people he can't beat, and kujou sara tells him off for it. an idiot who grabs the last piece of fried chicken on the table, agrees to thoma's proposal for a battle of rock-paper-scissors to get it, only for itto to lose each time. an idiot who bets on his entire deck of trading cards in his beetle fights, never truly realizing the risk until he'd already lost everything to kamisato ayato.
but arataki itto doesn't regret.
he doesn't regret trying to beat kujou sara even if it's his loss in the end, because she doesn't look down on him for losing and his friends are always there to patch him up. he doesn't regret doing rock-paper-scissors with thoma, because thoma would end up sharing the piece of chicken anyway. he doesn't regret betting on his deck, because ayato is never greedy, and he will always, always give it back to itto and tell him to try better next time.
arataki itto doesn't regret it this time either, even if he doesn't gain anything. even when he's battered and bruised, drenched in the rain, slumped against a wall in the middle of a dark alley. even when the boy he just saved from money-grubbing hooligans didn't spare him another look nor gave him any word of thanks, left him to fend for himself when the men's hostility had already been directed at him. never called for help, either, just allowed him to be outnumbered in a fight, and as strong itto is, there's no way he can beat five bulky guys on his own.
he doesn't regret, but it stings a little.
his entire body prickles with hurt, but at the same time he's unfeeling, numb in the cold rain. his line of sight is getting blurry, too, blobs of color instead of people darting past, streetlights small bright spots like fireflies.
he tries to open his mouth to ask for help, but that stings too. a busted lip, maybe. his voice is feeble, silent in his own ears. it can't be heard over the pouring rain. he tries to sit up straighter, but the effort to nudge his shoulder back exhausts all his energy. he wants to reach out a hand at least, but before he can even try, his body won't listen to him. his eyes close against his wishes.
he knows for sure he isn't too deep in the alley. can't anybody see him? or are they deliberately ignoring him because they don't want trouble? there's nothing wrong with that, really. not everyone has the time to help, or the bravery to approach a big guy covered in wounds. he understands. but he still hopes anyway.
ah, it's cold. the brick wall behind him is rough. his clothes are uncomfortable, sticking to his skin like this.
he forces his eyes open. there, he sees a pair of shoes, forming ripples across puddles when they step closer.
they halt.
they turn the opposite direction.
--
they leave him alone.
(he doesn't notice the umbrella they leave behind.)
“...llo... can... stand...”
he wakes up to someone patting his cheek. someone is speaking, but everything is muddled. it's still cold, and his back is still resting against the brick wall. but there's no rain anymore, only the pitter-patter sound when it hit the pavement.
he wonders how long he'd been shielded away from it.
stand. do they want him to stand? he's afraid that's too much to ask for.
the rain covers him again, icy drops falling on his skin. warmth overlaps with the frost, grabbing his arm, curling it around... something. he's being lifted up. not very effectively, but they're trying.
so he tries his best too. shifting his weight, blinking his eyes open, staying awake. they take him somewhere. it's dry, and when they push him over, it's to a plush seat. they don't complain when he leans his head on their shoulder, possibly soaking their clothes with his wet hair. he has to apologize, but sleep overtakes him.
itto doesn't remember much after that. just a hand on his forehead for some time, parts of his body wiped and wrapped in gauze. a blanket tucked carefully around him, fingertips brushing by his shoulders before they leave.
--
when he fully comes to, the first thing that registers to his mind is a room full of white. white sheets, white ceilings, white curtains. then a head of blue hair, standing by the window.
“oh, you're awake!” ayato exclaims, beyond relieved. “i was surprised when i picked up your call and it was someone else speaking. good thing they rushed you to the hospital, huh?”
“someone took me here?” itto asks, sitting up. “where are they?”
“they took off after i arrived. said they were late to an interview because they had to stay here... ah. that must've meant they probably didn't get the job...” he murmurs, grimacing. “i should've asked for their number so we can thank them properly. no point trying to find them now, though.”
but itto saw them. not very clearly, but he remembers kind eyes glazed in worry, a shirt partly soaked through, and a silver star hanging from their necklace.
arataki itto was never especially smart, but if anything, he is stubborn, and if he put his mind to it, he can do anything.
--
“isn't there any part-time job out there that doesn't pay minimum wage?”
“what? you saving up for something?”
“summer vacation is coming, you know! vacation trips aren't going to pay for themselves,” you sigh, burying your face in your folded arms.
“it's not like you have a boyfriend to spend it with.”
“can't i go on a vacation with friends?”
“and who are these friends you speak of? everyone is dating somebody. they're probably too busy,” she retorts, looking envious. “even xiao has someone when all he does is play games everyday.”
“that aside, i thought you found a good part-time job? you didn't get it?”
you scrunch your nose. “damn those happy idiots...”
hearing that, you turn even gloomier. “i didn't tell you? i blew it. i came late on the interview, and that didn't make a very good first impression. plus i looked horrible from the rain.”
“hm. find a rich boyfriend, then.”
“like who...?”
“kamisato ayato from the other department?” your friend suggests, grinning. “he's good looking. his sister is pretty too, i saw them walking together once.”
you snort. “way out of my league. i'm better off not hoping.”
“don't be like that~ i heard he was going to attend the next mixer. thoma told me himself-”
the door to the lecture hall opens, interrupting your conversation. “is [name] here?” a voice queried, rough and a tad bit too loud.
“right he-”
your friend slaps a hand over your mouth frantically, turning you away from the door. “what are you doing?!”
“what?” you blink up at her, whispering, “he's asking for me, isn't he?”
“didn't you see who it was?” she hisses, shielding you from view. “arataki itto! the one who beat up a senior on his first day as a freshman, remember?!”
arataki itto?
doesn't ring a bell.
“come on, that's just a ridiculous rumor, isn't it?” you wave her off, laughing. “wasn't kazuha rumored to have a criminal record at some point? you should know better than to believe them. so don't worry and let go of me, i'm sure he's not-”
your eyes flit to his sharp eyes, gleaming with intent, and his muscular build that could probably crush your skull with a single hand.
“...going to kill me...” your voice trails of too a whisper, face paling in horror. “on second thought, please be my meat shield?”
“[n-name] is over there!” a terrified classmate points in your direction the moment itto turns to glance at him inquisitively. a snitch! a tattletale! you're never lending him your notes ever again. given that you live another day, that is.
“oh. thanks.”
how polite! thanking him for his contribution in your likely murder!
“wait wait wait, what does he want with me?!” you shrink further behind your friend, but there is no escape. he can see you peeking over her shoulder.
“shouldn't you know that?! did you piss him off or something?!”
“i don't know! i've never seen him before!” you cried. you really haven't! you swear you have nothing to do with him! you don't deal with people who look like trouble! sure you might have dragged a delinquent to the hospital a few weeks before, but he was unconscious and defenseless! he could barely stand! this guy can punt you off to mars!
“you're [name], right?” his eyes sparkle with recognition, just an arm's width away from you now. your friend silently moves away.
an involuntary squeak is punched out of your lungs. “y... yes, that's me,” you respond meekly, fiddling with your fingers. “did you need me for something?”
itto clears his throat, expression similar to that of a constipated man's. “well... that is... i was... how do i say this...”
the silence is deafening, everyone's eyes focused solely on the pair of you. the back of your neck prickles at the attention, skin crawling with fear. you can't read him at all. what kind of offense did you do that he had to come to you like this?
“ah, dang it, 'm not good at things like this...” he grumbles, scratching his head.
is this it? is this how it ends for you? what is he not good at? public execution? no, he wouldn't go that far right?
“so-!”
he thrusts out the hands he'd been hiding behind his back, a bouquet of pink roses in his grasp. your eyes widen, taken aback, turning even wider when you see the way his cheeks redden, entire face aflame, fingers trembling nervously.
“i admire you a lot! please go out with me!”

Gentle
Gentle moments spent with Genshin men
Characters: Aether, Albedo, Gorou, Xiao, Scaramouche, Diluc
GN Reader - Headcanons - Fluff
————————————————————————
Aether
It would be in the morning when the sun peaks over the mountains and warmly wakes you both up. Slowly, you’d get up and play with Aether’s hair to wake him up, detangling all the knots in the process.
He would hum in satisfaction and kiss your palms, look at you and give you the sweetest look before whispering “good morning, love”.
When he did eventually get up, you’d brush his hair and braid it, making sure to keep it tight enough so that it wouldn’t loosen up during commissions.
He would cook breakfast at the same time, asking you to be his taste tester if he decided to try something new. In the end you’d be clinging onto him from behind while he goes all out with making food.
Albedo
Albedo tends to get very immersed in his work, always finding something new to tinker with or keep his mind busy. You’d have to physically pull him away from his desk and papers to make him realize that he needed a break.
You would lead him to a small fire set up in his camp, or by the fireplace in his home with you, and lay his head on your lap.
He loves hearing your voice, so he’ll ask you many questions about your day, playing with your fingers at the same time. Other times, he’d ask you to read to him, whatever book you wanted.
During the times where he pulled all-nighters, which was very often, he’d fall asleep very fast. You made sure to have a blanket laid over him and not move. You didn’t want to wake him up from his rare moments of sleep.
Gorou
During the Vision Hunt Decree, there was almost no time for you and Gorou to spend time together, the most you would get was falling asleep next to him and spending a few minutes awake when morning came.
It was only during the peace talks that you were able to spend a lot more time with Gorou. With the amount of paperwork given and trips to Inazuma City, he always had you accompanying him.
You would check over the paperwork and help him with the “That’s Life” advice column he was working with. You would afterwards buy each other small treats and even feed it to each other in private.
Other than that, small walks around camp when the sun would set, holding hands, would help you both relax into each other’s presence. He would bring you under a Sakura tree nearby and bring your hands to his ears for you to scratch them.
He would even ask you to groom his tail, making sure to tell you how to first. Eventually, you would do it without question and made sure that it was the softest thing in the world.
Xiao
Picnics on the highest mountains, overlooking all of Liyue, with Xiao. The first time being on one of the high mountains of Huaguang Stone Forest. It slowly became a habit to go there to spend alone time.
Picnics would usually be spent at night, where some crystal flies can be seen flying nearby and the moon shine brightly. He would sometimes catch then and put some in your hair as small decorations.
Almond tofu would be the main meal, but to add a bit more he would pick an assortment of berries and make small fruit bowls for you.
By the end of the meal you would both lay on the grass and look at the stars, he would sometimes tell stories of his past days with the other Yakshas, but only when he felt very sentimental.
Scaramouche
Coming back home after a very long and stressful day to having you dragging him in the bathroom for a well deserved bath. He would always, shyly, ask for you to join him.
You would massage his scalp while he tried his best to talk about his day without falling asleep, the same with when you rub his back when applying the soap.
He would then do the same to do, taking care of you and making sure to wash your hair properly as you did with his.
Cuddles, you would lay on his chest and he would have his chin laying on your head, his hands tracing slow pattens on your skin. It helped him distract himself from his lousy subordinates and the other Harbingers.
Diluc
On most nights you’d visit Diluc while he was behind the counter at Angel’s Share, chatting with him and keeping him company. Sometimes when there were too many people you’d go behind the counter with him and help him. He always appreciated it.
You stay until it’s time to close and clean up, wiping the tables and mopping the floors from all the alcohol that spilled on them.
On days where Diluc couldn’t see you much, he would have soft music in the background and take you in his arms, leading you in a slow dance.
Anyone who was able to take a peak from the windows would absolutely say that he’s fallen hard for you, he’ll have a smile on his face the whole time dancing.
————————————————————————
Hey guys! Very sorry for the long long wait, been v busy lately and now found the time to whip something up, thank you all for your patience. <3

summary: you’ve spent your whole life quietly, so quietly that it’s a wonder you have enough ambition to receive a vision at all. but the moment you step aboard the crux, you begin to realize something — things can’t stay the same forever. maybe stillness lies at the heart of the storm, with the captain of the crux, or maybe it lies elsewhere. you have a decision to make.

it’s a quiet life, working at bubu pharmacy. yujing terrace is bustling yet orderly, the stone steps in front of the pharmacy swept clean, the silk flower bushes neatly pruned.
each morning you leave your small house on the outskirts of the harbor and walk into town. the smell of salt blows in from the sea of clouds, and dew collects on the grass, clinging to your shoes as you brush past it. the shop is open all night, but baizhu arrives to manage it at nine o’clock sharp, and so do you. in the summer it can get ridiculously hot inside, but you and qiqi are usually around to cool the shop down with your cryo visions.
you spend your days carefully measuring, weighing, and grinding herbs into fine powders. the pay is good, it’s quiet, and not a soul bothers you. herbalist gui, qiqi, and baizhu are all the company you require. baizhu appreciates your steady hand, gui is happy to have someone who can take his shifts when needed, and qiqi, little qiqi, she just likes tugging at your sleeve and following you as you gather herbs and help customers.
so life passes quietly, marked by the occasional dinner with qiqi and baizhu, your sort-of-family, and you make sure to bring qiqi lots of coconut milk whenever you come back from the market.
well, life passed quietly until today.

Hello! May I ask for a scenario with the main tall men(Diluc, Zhongli, Childe, Kaeya, Thoma) + Albedo where the reader got isekai'd in Teyvat and they have an electronic device with them, if it's okay?
It goes like when they met the reader, they noticed that they have a phone/tablet/laptop with them and is curious of what the device is. :00
You don't have to do all of them! 3 characters are fine!
Have a great day! :D
how they would react to an isekai'd!reader with a device 📱

having your life taken away and suddenly waking up inside the game you treasured for so long, one might count itself as a blessing for having tevyat as the next worl you get to live in, that's until you find a shock to yourself that your device is with you? perhaps this was the way the archons in tevyat tend to you, to survive in this world, having records of events that are yet to take events in this magnificent, vast world you've yet to see- not with your screen any longer but with your very own eyes. wait. wait a minute? who's that-
Tumblr media
diluc
you wake up in a cedar wood oaked manor, and to your beliefs, in shock, may i add, this is the dawn winery that you've just woken up in.
where diluc ragvindr himself, the wine tycoon, the uncrowned king of mondstat takes himself home.
you shift over to see the windows, and the bright sunlight the day has to offer, your thoughts were intruded as a knock begins to fill up the room.
"come in,"
and to your surprise, the diluc ragvindr that many fawned on excused himself for interrupting your morning, archons he was way beautiful than you thought of him to be. he was breathtaking, more in the fact that concerned washed over his face when he noticed you were no longer moving,
"h-hey..?"
right. right. diluc ragvindr. tevyat. no big deal. right right. might as well try to imprint a good impression on the ragvindr hm?
"apologies ma-"
..there were many cautions to be aware of, like number one, attempting to forget and reset your background knowledge of everyone in tevyat.
diluc tilted his head in curiosity,
"ehrm, my name is y/n and may i please ask who you are and how i wound up here?"
straight to the point, he thought.
"my name is diluc ragvindr, you're currently at the dawn winery manor, and how you wound up here.. is quite the story, i found you while i was out- being batman patrolling last night." he picked his words carefully,
to this, you nodded, still in confusion that you've wounded up in tevyat but still had the idea of being reincarnated into another world like the amountful isekai manwhas you've read. though the way you've died and left the world is still blurry in your mind, no matter how much you try to force yourself to think back to it.
"i see, well then, i apologize for the inconveniences i might've caused and I'll be on my way-"
diluc ragvindr held up a familiar device, that..
hey wait a minute.
that's your phone-
even the case and the model-
now you know damn well a phone cant be in tevyat when the technology isnt as advanced to having a phone,
"so what's this device i found with you?" he waved it around in his hands, carefully inspecting it.
hm, diluc wasn't one to be left behind in technology advances as he himself, invests in technology that may help his business grow,
now how in tevyat were you supposed to explain to a fictional character that the world you're now in is a videogame setting where it could be played from your device?
struggling to come up with an answer, you started speaking in hopes that it's enough for the red-headed man to believe you.
"mr. diluc ragvindr, i dont think you'd believe me even if i told you"
"oh? do pray tell."
"we all have our secrets and that happens to be mine. it'd be quite unfair to use it against me."
"apologies, im just making sure that this device is safe.."
"i understand, though, i really do need it back."
you see his frown enhancen, and to this you compromise,
"if.. i was to show you what it does, can i be on my way after this? no questions after."
diluc nodded almost instantly.
he handed you the phone and you started to turn it on,
the screen glowed at the wallpaper of a white screen, thank the archons that your wallpaper was resetted or it mightve arose suspicion if it was your diluc wallpaper now, wouldn't it?
you planned to tamper with the widget and app name of genshin impact so that no one gets a clue but it seems that its all encoded in diluc's eyes. that they do not know of the alphabet you use. this advancement was an advantage such as to that no one else would be able to operate it, but you.
you showed diluc the applications, the camera, the notes, recorder, music, settings, games and everything basic you could possibly introduce to someone who had never seen a phone.
diluc was impressed with the advancement of this technology, stunned that a mere stranger had such a magnificent device that did multiple task to aid a lot in terms of business.
he let you leave the manor safely and had offered you a place to stay, and to this- you couldn't exactly turn the offer down as safety and security of your vulnerable state was important.
the pyro visioned man had started to warm up to you as if you've lived in the manor for a longer while than what it seems to be,
there was a time he'd sit with you at the balcony as he sipped grape juice, looking over to you, tampering with your phone,
an idea came across your head,
"master diluc, how would you like to be entertained by my device?"
his curiosity peaked even more.
you had entertained him in such a way that one may think you're advertising the technology,
you had shown him the emailing system, though it was clear to you that your phone has been boundaries as the addresses that were saved were welkin systems where they had aided you a fk ton of mora, competing with the numbers of the wine tycoon itself, it drove you quite shocking once you've figured it out,
diluc was amazed at the fact that he could just send documents in a click away not taking anymore days to wait for a response as it took some time to deliver and write proposal, business partnerings, offers and such.
oh how he'd love to have such a more light work,
an application you next showed him was the chess game you've had, and as you already know, diluc is one to play chess, you've challenged him to a game of chess...
"hm? oh well then, I'll just take my set out- oh.. you mean?? you can.. simulate the game?... in.. your device? ... that's amazing."
the diluc ragvindr was too stunned to speak. (LMFAO)
you two started a match and to his surprise, you won the match- and in diluc's eyes, you were, one of the individuals that have managed to beat him in such a strategical game. not only has his eye caught your device but.. to you as well.
'just how more special could this person be?'
childe
oh boy. now this is chaotic, how did you end up in the third round knockout with childe?
in all seriousness though, while he was on his way back from the northland bank, he stumbled upon you in a secluded alleyway, all alone in the dark, unconscious, it seems.
childe looked around for anyone who may be able to recognize this person as he himself, is not one to be closely familiar to the association of liyueans.
to his dismay, nobody was around, not when it was hours past midnight, he decided he'd be the one to help you then, well if you actually need it.
"hey.." he tapped your shoulder, once, twice and-
oh there we go.
"what..where... you."
"m-me?" the dumbstruck harbinger stuttered as the tone in your voice showed familiarity.
"oh.. right, nevermind." you got up and took yourself out of the alleyway and it was finally clear to you that you were in liyue. you had an idea of how it might've happened.
you walked away, leaving the harbinger himself as you started to walk through liyue, awe in your eyes as childe stared at you.
"hey wait!" the harbinger had caught up to you,
you didn't look forward to getting yourself involved with him, not when it's the first day in a new world.
no matter how much you've liked him.
ahem. he was a favorite to you.
"what is it?"
"you dropped this." he hands you your phone.
he watched your eyes widen in confusion, you snatch the phone away and quickly said your thank you,
"hey wait a minute,"
you turn to him.
"are.. are you not from here?" he asks.
"..well not from liyue really."
"figures. im childe by the way, i dont live here in liyue also, more of a business involved travelling job."
"ah i see.."
'well no kidding, don't you look to accomplish what the tsasritsa orders?' you thought.
hm. it really doesnt seem like he's out to get me. it doesn't hurt to make an acquaintance, as long as i don't get on his bad side right?
"my name is y/n, nice to meet you."
"well uhm.. i noticed you were passed out in the alleyway there and i notice that you're not really in clothing that's warm enough to go through the breeze that sets in liyue during its nights"
he was right, it really was cold and all you had were battered up clothing.
"right uh.. can i treat you tonight? what do you say to free food, and clothing and a new..friend, perhaps?"
you nod and smile slightly at his attempt.
you knew he was a bloodthirsty harbinger, but deep known you know that he's a good man and a good brother and son to his family who just happens to serve in the line of violence and loyalty to tsaritsa.
childe walked you to a clothing store in liyue that were willing to help you get new clothing-
the harbinger couldnt help but also gift you new accessories, a new satchel and a few of the jackets and tops you eyed earlier but dropped them, due to the price, it was already enough of what he gave to you.
"mr.childe...no. no. this is too much."
why was he offering a stranger this much help?
"...y/n, it's fine, ill have you know a secret, the price tag means nothing to me, if that's what you're worried about" he winks to you, a friendly smile painting his face anew.
"how do you suppose i repay you then, mr.childe?"
"please call me just childe and you dont need to repay me, im only doing what a decent person would do.. and ive got the mora to support my genuine intentions."
"thank you." you look down to the ground, tears welling up in your eyes, it overwhelmed you to wake up in such a new world but a kind soul like childe leading you to the vast world of tevyat and offering help to you- a stranger warmed up your heart.
you took a deep breath and offered a smile at him,
"thank you childe."
childe's eyes widened upon seeing a genuine smile from you, returning back the gesture as he says,
"you're always welcome, y/n. now should we head on to get some food? im starving.."
you and him shared talks, jokes and laughter, familiarizing himself to you and you to him, in.. a more personal level as you've really met him now with your own eyes.
you two ate a meal together, enough to fill both of you up, you suppose the both of you were growing more tired as his eyes were half-lidded, a yawn escaping his lips,
"hey by the way, what was that thing you dropped earlier?"
"oh this? ...just a device i suppose."
"ive never seen anything like it, and i, for one are actually quite updated about new technology, what does it do?"
"hmm.. uh.. well i dont know if i can tell you childe.. but let's just say its a device that can do multiple tasks?"
"like what?"
"writing down reminders for yourself, having a calendar, taking photographs away from a click."
you operated the phone and showed him the basics of what the phone could do,
"where'd you get it? i'd love to get my hands on one.."
you gulped.
'please- if this phone ends up with me getting murdered-'
"hey childe, remember when you asked me, 'are you not from here' well the answer i suppose, is yes.. quite literally. i come from a different world.."
his jaw drops to the information you've let him grasp.
"oh. i see. i suppose you're the second outlander ive met. i've met a traveller who came searching for their twin sibling.. they've made quite the reputation in all of tevyat too."
you were surprised that he hadn't threatened you yet or something along the lines.
now that you think of it, can't an outlander threaten the goals of the one you serve?
you shrug the thought off and kept conversing with childe as the night begins to age.
youve managed to show him a game from your phone,
"hey childe look at this."
you showed him a timed fishing game in which the player has to catch as much fish as they can in the given time as a challenge.
at the first game, he'd caught 5 fishes as you stood with 25 fishes, the gap of the score making him scoff,
he made his way next to you and asked for a rematch.
you suppose this was the only duel he'd ever ask you on. well hopefully.
you'd done 5 matches with you getting better at each game,
he'd slumped over and pouted "i literally fish back in my home country, this just disappoints me!"
he'd earned a laugh from you, a first he'd heard from you.
he stared at you as light pink blushed over his face, smiling at you,
'what a kind soul..' is all what he managed to think as you both gave each other comfort and warmth in the coldness that surrounded liyue during its midnights, sharing a quiet but a memorable night in the new world you've woken up to.
kaeya
the cavalry captain had heard reports from one of the knights that someone was found in the woods, sleeping near the wolvendom area, which wasn't the ideal area to be around.
the captain had requested for the knights to look for this person, including himself, he'd been curious as to who this person may be, all what the knight said was that they flee after taking a sight of them.
maybe this person was a tourist? perhaps a lost one as well.
his thoughts had been interrupted when he hears the leaves from a tree make some noises.
then a rectangular object fell infront of him.
he stepped back and examined the object,
"hey if you're here, you better come get this object-
or not. I'll keep it confi-"
"NO!" a person leapt down from the tree and approached him, dressed messily, with a disheveled appearance.
your eyes widen at the sight of the cavalry captain who smirked at you, knowing his bait worked better than he thought he would've done.
"so, are you from around this region of mondstat?"
"...no."
"well..? then you're from?"
"it's complicated."
just then, a knight came to tell him that jean is concerned on whether or not this person may threaten mondstat's safety, and to this he had to oblige to the grandmaster's request and had asked you to come with him inside the city gates for some interrogation,
"nothing too heavy." he says,
"as long as you're innocent of any ill intentions" he adds.
of course, as 'lazy' as others assume of him, he wants nothing but to protect his hometown.
as you get to the favonius headquarters, you were welcomed by the absence of the acting grandmaster as something had come up urgently in need of attention,
leaving matters in the best of kaeya's judgement, you two sat in his office as he questioned you about your whereabouts and what you've been doing lurking around the woods to arise suspicion.
"it's.. quite unbelievable really."
"please enlighten me" he offered a pleasant smile,
"...would it be believable if i was to say that this is not my world.?"
his eyes widen for a second, "... you're.. not from tevyat?"
you shook your head as his mouth agapes, laughter arising from him,
"another outlander??"
you sheepishly smiled at him, how were you to be composed when kaeya, all in his glory was infront of you, resting his chin on the palm of his right hand?
"i guess so.."
kaeya began to tell you about how they've managed to find another outlander like you outside of mondstat, of course you knew of this.
kaeya had used his judgement and for the time being you two were together it was safe enough for him to assume that you had no ill intentions. though all he waited for was the presence of the acting grandmaster.
jean gunnhildr hadn't returned at the night that you two waited for, kaeya resolved to letting you in to his own home as it would be too much of a bother to disturb others into taking in a stranger- an outlander even, he had promised himself to keep an eye close to you and provide you with shelter. he had noticed your appearance, and your stomach grumbling had made him order a small feast for you and him. he had wondered how long you've gone without any food.
you two had shared a meal, and to your surprise, the conversation that you had interacted were genuinely comforting, in the warmth of his home and an actual shelter to stay in for the time being.
as you got up to help him clean up your dishes, your phone had dropped from your pocket and onto the wooden floor.
it had been days since you found out that your phone had come along with you. information about tevyat and the lore behind into the archives were saved in a way that you had assumed that this was a way you'd look for, to survive and overcome challenges in the new world you now live in.
to this, kaeya had turned his attention to you, asking you what you had dropped.
you thought it was no harm to explain and show him what the device does,
"hm. its a device from my world, it's called a "phone"
he had squinted his eyes at the sight of your phone,
"whats the purpose of it? why is it so rectangular?"
to this, you had laughed at his questions, you didn't expect the cavalry captain to tilt his head and look at you in a way you had found adorable.
"well it does function in many categories, come look"
kaeya wiped his hands as he made his way next to you, watching you operate your phone as you begin to show him some examples of what a phone could do,
and to your expectation, you were right.
kaeya had completely become smitten with the camera feature in your phone where he had learned to take a selfie, of you and him in his kitchen.
he had asked if it was possible to print into a picture,
you had thought of ways to avoid breaking his heart that your phone may be too advanced for the technology available, unless he could request to commission it to an artist for a physical copy.
he has noted himself to get a kamera,
the next morning, jean had greeted you and questioned you, even welcoming you into mondstat, taking note that you had become familiar with the cavalry captain as he had no guard up when he was with you, completely out of any suspicion. ironically.
once jean had let you go, kaeya had offered to tour you around mondstat, the breeze settling in, with the morning sun gracing the sides of yours and his face.
he had definitely hoped to get more captures of you and him with your camera. he wished for the two of you to get along together and possibly become better acquaintances as the cavalry captain had been attracted to the energy you radiate around him. no words in khaenr'iahn and mondstatian could form words for the warmth he felt though it was as small as sharing a moment.
he went crazy after you showed him that phones could record videos too- someone help this man pls.

SAGAU Zhongli with Creator!Reader
A bit of cottage core AU? Soft reader.
Remember when the entirety of Liyue was panicking over the death of their archon and Zhongli was just "hmm yes how unfortunate."
Consider this. Reader descends to Teyvat in mortal form and no one recognizes them because worshipping the creator is known as a personal type of faith, a contrast to the bourgeois worship of archons (like statues, rituals, temples etc). They recognize you through feelings rather than physical form.
So after experiencing Teyvat as a mortal, you decided to settle down and live in the outskirts of Liyue harbor, maybe in a little cafe or tea house. Zhongli discovers this place and he adores how authentic the food and design looks.
The ingredients are always fresh and everything is more or less handmade. You even have osmanthus wine, just the way he remembers it!
You quickly become good friends and he notices how you're quite smart in history as well! It causes him to suspect your identity, but more like if you're secretly an adepti or spirit whatever.
And he shares with you his thoughts and troubles like how he wishes the creator would grace them with their presence because Zhongli has worked so hard to build Liyue up for them!
Then all of a sudden you decide that "Hmm I guess it's about time I 'descend' to Teyvat,"
And there's immediately talk about how the creator will come and Zhongli, being the good friend that he is, comes to your secluded cafe to tell you and you're like "Wow that's great!"
And all the known archons — sans Morax who lives as Zhongli now — are searching and preparing for the creator and the land of Teyvat leads them to... a small cafe?
They open the door and they just see Zhongli drinking tea with you and you're placing a plate of pastries, asking him if he likes it and everyone goes like
"Y-your grace?"
Except for Venti who's distraught, accusing Zhongli, "So you we're lying when you said you're no longer tied to your archon responsibilities! You were hogging the creator all along!"
And Zhongli is like? The creator?? You mean the cafe owner???
And suddenly Zhongli just feels your presence and he's frozen stiff, realizing that he's treated you, the divine creator, like a mere server/baker/cafe owner. Childe is laughing his arse off because "Now you know how it feels!" and you're just smiling, holding a kettle.
"More tea, Mr.Zhongli?"
Oh archons, he had the divine creator serving him tea and pastries for the past few months. You were calling him respectfully as if he was your senior as well oh god oh god
Bonus if you became lovers or at least, you have mutual feelings for each other because?? The creator loves him???
Bonus 2x if you've done intimate or loving things with him as well because he's mentally exploding now.
Bonus 3x if he's the lead (dom) in your relationship and you're just soft and following him bc how dare he treat you like that??
Alternatively, what if you're married and you're his little housewife/househusband and then he finds out your identity? because I think it's even more fun to see his reaction that way.
And he's like, "D-dear, why didn't you tell me?"
And you go like, "Well, I was waiting for you to admit that you're Rex Lapis too so we're kind of even."

ayato.
Tumblr media
“so…you called us over, because you want us,” you gesture to yourself and the boy standing beside you dumbly. “to finish your candy.”
“um…yes?”
ayato sighs, somewhat taken aback at the absurdity of the situation. “you said it was an emergency.”
itto grins, shrugging sheepishly. “it is.”
“god, i want to strangle him.” you scoff beneath your breath, crossing your arms as you glance over at ayato.
“aw come on! i figured you’d at least be intrigued,” he shoves a bag of candy towards you with a strange look on his face. “apparently, they’ve got the weirdest flavors.”
“tch, you don’t even have that much money,” you grumble, plopping down on a seat next to the counter. “and yet, you choose to spend it on this.”
itto’s boisterous voice and beaming countenance drops to a guilty whisper. “which is why we’ve gotta get rid of this by today! the guys are gonna kill me if they find out i’ve been spending our savings like this…”
you feel a large hand defeatedly pat your back, followed by your boyfriend making himself comfortable on a seat next to yours. “we might as well help him out while we’re here.”
“you’re kidding,” you snort, displeased as you raise an eyebrow. “look, i don’t want to waste a whole day sitting around and eating—” you pause to peer down at the candies. “ugh, you have dog-food flavor? do i look like some kind of bitch to you?”
itto snickers at the timely joke, fishing for a random piece of candy in the overflowing pile. “maybe just a little.”
you roll your eyes, begrudgingly taking a piece of candy from the top of the bag. “toothpaste,” you read aloud, astonished and frankly disappointed with the candy makers of today. “better this than dog food.”
hesitant as you peel the candy wrapper off, you slide the white and blue swirly-patterned ball inside your mouth, shaking your head at the sight of itto’s proud expression directed towards you.
that, however, does not last for long — before his face suddenly contorts into one of repulsion at the flavors pervading within all five of his unfortunate senses. “fuck! what the hell is this?!”
ayato lazily picks up the discarded wrapper next to the panicking boy, eyeing the label with an entertained smirk. “lucky you. it’s booger-flavored.”
“shit!” you hear him loudly curse as he hastily stumbles off the counter seat, wobbling in urgency towards a nearby bathroom. “out of all the flavors i could have picked…!” came his final shout before the door behind him violently slams shut.
you hum to yourself in fascination after toying with the candy a little longer in your mouth, practically ignoring the muffled gagging noises from the other room. “huh. it kind of does taste like toothpaste.”
you glance back down at the paper in your hands. “wonder how they did that.”
“can i try some?” your gaze averts to your pretty boyfriend, chiming in your thoughts with a little smile.
“sure.” you nod, casually pushing the paper bag flowing with candies towards his way.
but he doesn’t touch it.
instead, he inches his face closer to yours, a riveting look bubbling within light blue-grey irises. you’re about to ask him why he’s approached you instead, but he presses his lips softly onto yours, and your questions die down in the silence of his kiss.
you feel your heart skip one too many beats when his tongue sneakily slips into your mouth, swiping the oddly-flavored candy from your lips. and before you can even fight or think of taking it back, his mouth is already gone from yours — an innocent look plastered on his face, and the peculiarly-achieved taste of toothpaste missing from your senses.
“you…”
your sentence cuts off when itto staggers back weakly into the frame, seemingly nauseated.
ayato’s attention immediately shifts over to your friend. “want a glass of water?”
“please,” he lurches, pressing a fist to his lips and stifling the puke back in his throat. your boyfriend nods and slides off his seat nonchalantly, before you can even begin to say a word to him.
“fuck, that was disgusting.” the boy remarks in aversion, wincing when he remembers the traumatic experience. his eyes flicker over to you when he realizes you’re a bit too silent. “hey, you okay?”
“he…stole my candy,” you manage to stutter, bewildered as you cautiously raise a hand to your lips.
“eh? which one? what flavor?” itto barrels with a flurry of questions, delving through the congested bag of bizarre sweets. “i can give you another one if you’d like.”
“…no, it’s fine.” you slowly shake your head, swallowing thickly when you feel your cheeks flush with heat. “i don’t need another one.”
“you sure?” itto asks, still hunched over the counter.
“yeah,” you bob your head dazedly, getting off your seat as you help prop him up straighter. “i’ll, um…help you get cleaned up instead.”
Tumblr media
the sound of trickling water echoes through the empty corner of the kitchen.
ayato leans back on the refrigerator, contemplative as he sucks on the little ball he successfully managed to purloin in his mouth, a hazy look swirling within his drowsy eyes.
“y/n’s right. it does taste like toothpaste.”
