He should be afraid, should want to hide it, but the knowledge lights him up until he forgets he was ever cold to begin with. Until he forgets what cold even means. It comes to Eddie as a fact of life, so natural and all-encompassing that hiding it would be something close to a sin. But. Buck is looking at him and Eddie— Eddie can't lose him. Something about "this is pure love" and something about "love is the most twisted curse of all," and how Geto never fought to stay next to Gojo like Yuuta fought for Rika, fought for his friends, but Gojo would have, he WOULD have if given the option, except that Geto gave up on hope, gave up on ever being saved, on believing that he could ever be worthy of standing next to Gojo without standing in his shadow, that he could ever be his equal because he couldn't see it himself, but Gojo did, he DID, and he would have done ANYTHING not to lose the one he loved best, the only person in existence who ever really saw and accepted Gojo for who he was, not as a god but as a human being, worthy of being loved just as he is, Strongest or not, and it didn't matter what either of them were capable of, because to Gojo they were the Strongest together no matter what. But then a decade passed and eventually Gojo was forced to kill Geto, and he had to say Suguru's name after not saying it for so many years, (partly out of self-preservation), just so it wouldn't become a curse -- because that was the only form of love Gojo had left to give to Geto, which was to finally let him go, to release him from their shared past, from their lost dreams, from Geto's own madness, just the way Yuuta did for Rika, and y'all I am SCREAMING
