But one piece of kit that is often overlooked is the dive knife. To some divers, it's not really a priority. However, investing in a good quality dive knife is essential. And if you're going to invest in one, it is worth spending the extra to buy a titanium dive knife.

The ancient art of spearfishing has been around for as long as humans began hunting for food in our oceans, These days, more spearfishing gear is available - for your comfort and safety - but the principle remains the same. It is popular around the world and is welcomed in many places due to its low-impact on the environment, especially in areas that encourage 'eco-tourism' and conservation.

Spearfishing is becoming increasingly popular as a sport, existing as an alternative to traditional fishing. While spearfishing is generally done with a speargun, pole spear, or Hawaiian sling, there are situations in which you’ll need more something more powerful for self-defense. For those situations, there is the “bang stick”, which has more killing power to it than the traditional spear. However, with this increased killing power also comes a bit more discrepancy in regards to it’s legal and appropriate use, which we’ll be going over more in-depth in this article.
