(aka) The Paramedic (2020)
Randomly stumbled across this on Netflix, not great but not terrible, story lines a little dull and the main character is horrible but there we go!

Us (2019)
I've watched this a few times since release and I still love it a lot. Jordan Peeles touch is amazing. And such a good soundtrack

Jungle (2017)
Watched this again today for the first time since it came out. I'm not sure if I actually finished it last time or not... But wow what a movie. Very tense at times and all based on a true story too... Mad mad mad

Gone To See The Riverman - Kristopher Triana
Quite often when I read books of this length I always think they could have been longer, to incorporate more backstory and character building. Somehow this book, although short, is still filled with backstory (and a decent one at that)
This book feels like it's gonna be quite tame, from the blurb and the first chapter or so but it very quickly spirals, and although gore isn't the main aspect of this book there is quite a bit of it.
It's the taboos that he touches on, and (without giving it away) the backstory that starts to explain what's going on it's also quite brutal.
I enjoyed reading this, finished it in a day. First book I've read by Triana and I'll check out the rest of his offerings based on this one!

The Nightly Disease - Max Booth
Well that was a wild ride!
First book I've read by Max, I tweeted a couple of days ago asking which of his books to read first - the top result wasn't this but this was the 2nd and I already owned it so I went with this one.
This is kinda horror, kinda comedy, mostly bizarro I guess cause it is weird as fuck, but I really enjoyed it and finished it really quite quick.
I kinda loved the main character Isaac, and also quite like Kia as well despite the fact I'm not sure if I was supposed too! Hoot hoot!

Evan Almighty (2007)
This movie is absolutely ridiculous but still hilariously funny. I can't believe it was 2007 that this came out. It's been so long since I watched it

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes (2012)
I don't only watch horror! We wat he'd this earlier today, hadn't watched it for ages but still really enjoyable. Kinda sad at times though with the poor monkeys to begin with... Though they soon get their own way! Hoping to finish the trilogy over next couple of days

The Butterfly Garden
I had a 7 day or so period where I wasn't feeling well so didn't read at all, because of that this ended up taking me longer than it usually would!
I heard about this book on a list of 'Books readers say they would never read again' - I gathered the list was supposed to be cause the books were disturbing rather than because they were awfully written.
The subject matter of this book was disturbing yes, but I guess being an avid horror reader I'm pretty numb to most things by now.
The idea of the book was good, the plot worked well. It was quite simply written, but that's fine not everything has to be a work of art!
It jumps back and forth from present and past a lot and these are clearly marked although it's not explained to begin with, you do soon work it out
Overall I enjoyed this book! I think there's some more in the series but I'm not gonna read them just yet, maybe in the future. Unless someone tells me they're amazing... Then I might pick them up earlier!

The Infiltrator (2016)
This film follows an undercover FBI agent who works with Pablo Escobars cartel to help them launder money. I think it was based on a true story. Violent and gory but a decent enough movie!

Calm With Horses (2019)
This is an Irish crime thriller, really really good. Not sure if this was a debut for these actors or not but they played the parts really well. It's gritty and super hard hitting

White Boy Rick (2018)
Wow this movie was amazing. Somehow hadn't heard of it until it was recently added to Netflix but it's worth a watch, based on a true story too.

The Boat (2018)
Well, what can I say about this. A sentient boat, a single cast member who manages to get himself stuck in a room on this boat (if you've ever been on a boat like this you'll know how flimsy the doors are)
This dragged on and I really didn't enjoy it at all. It's not even a so bad it's good movie, it's just trash

The ReZort (2015)
Tonight I watched this, had never heard of it before just found it browsing on Amazon Prime. It's a bit like Jurassic Park, but with zombies. I find the zombie genre a bit played out, but this wasn't too bad. Some annoying characters you're glad to see killed off!!
