I haven't been on here in a long time, partially because of work and not wanting to talk about it but things have been going pretty well for me.
I've been in an in person relationship for the first time in over a decade for a few months now. She's not asexual but has been learning about it and we've been able to talk about what works for us which is great.
I should note a different Missouri near total adult ban was also taken out
So if you're reading about these bans, and you're scared where you live or that you can't travel/move to different parts of America, remember these bans are legal nonsense and failing in court over and over and over again
the way sesame street, a pbs puppet show for literal babies, is pressing on with pride content despite vitriolic monsters descending on every post to insinuate they're pedophiles or demons while some of the biggest companies on the planet who could swim in olympic swimming pools of money like scrooge mcduck on steroids buckle and cave just emphasizes how completely and utterly pathetic these corporations are. they'd butcher a baby if it meant saving a penny.
happy pride everyone! i figured i’d showcase my pride stim stuff a little, so here’s my trans tangle and pronoun pin. i wear/have both on my person every day~ (they/them pronouns please)
I thrifted this bootleg pikachu phone a few years ago for $2
Most of his buttons play mandarin terms for family members but if you hit the 'song' button he blasts a funky number
I have spent years agonising over how familiar the song sounded but could never work out what it was.....until today when i heard a cover of it by chance! Its Little Apple by the chopstick brothers
Fun fact about me but I recently remembered that I'm technically intersex. I was diagnosed with congenital adrenal hyperplasia when I was 17, because I had facial hair and naturally high levels of T. I was already out as a trans guy, so the doctor said there was no need to treat it because I wanted the effects. But I took an intersex 101 training the other day and it spoke about CAH and I was like "oh yeah, I have that".
I'm the same person but its interesting to think about.
A comic about the spectrum of responses to stress - we talk alot about the more extreme ends of this and trauma, but the more subtle and every day responses can be harder to spot. if we can understand our own and other’s responses better, problems Are easier to confront and blaming is less likely to happen :) hope it’s helpful!!
I can forgive people who joined ABA and thought they were helping and are now willing to learn. Its when you defend ABA that were going to have a problem. I have and will accept referrals from, but dont collaborate with people that practice ABA, period.
