MOVING

I figured why the ask box wouldn’t work it only took me months. This was originally created as a side blog and I could not figure out how to create an askbox. I will be moving to the OG URL abo-overwatch.tumblr.com I received requests through messages so after I set up the NEW tumblr and reblog/repost all my writings there, I will upload the requests that I got. I am NOT ignoring your requests, I just wanted to upload them on the new blog once I figured out why it was not working. To Be Mine (pt 1/?)

The first time you met it was in the midst of battle. You were separated from your squad on an infiltration mission on a Talon base. Basically, the worst time ever to be on your own and injured. A bomb had discharged in the middle of your squad, an absolute miracle none of your team was caught in the blast and killed. Unfortunately, shrapnel was now lodged in your firing arm. Help would be a long time coming.

The Alpha squad was far ahead, leading the primary charge into the base. They are the higher ranked members in Overwatch. Meaning Delta squad, your squad, was the furthest and last to receive quality aid. Dr. Ziegler was in high demand, especially when out on the field as Mercy. Without your medic, you would not be able to move from your spot as the bleeding continued to stain your fatigues. Your nondominant hand clutched at the wound.

You were scared to take out your pusle pistol, modeled after Soldier:76's own pulse rifle, and attempt firing to get to the evacuation site. When 76 led a squad lesson at the shooting range, he had stressed the importance of ambidexterity when shooting a gun. "When an arm gets blown off, you have to still be useful." Not the best delivery of advice but exceedingly pertinent in this situation. You felt if you had to, you could fire well enough with your other hand. You grimaced, hand instead going to your comms. You hadn't exhausted your resources yet.

"Delta squadron, this is D-4. I am injured and can no longer shoot, please advise."

"D-4, this is D-1. We are too far from the site of the explosion to retrieve you. Wait until the evac for us to come get you." Your heart fell. You expected as much, his orders aligning with every rule concerning fallen behind comrades. Logic did nothing to alleviate the distressing scent you were releasing.

You swallowed,"Affirmitive."

You settled down for the wait, when you saw a flash of green. What? Your team had cleared the area... You pulled out your pulse pistol and nearly fired into the air when an omnic face appeared at your side. It was Genji. He placed his hand on your pistol, lowering it until he held the gun and pocketed it in its holster.

What was a member of the Alpha squad doing here?

He must of noticed your confused face when he responded in that half human half electronic hum,"You smelled distressed."

Your face bloomed into a blush. Of course Genji was an alpha. Most members of Overwatch were. You however, are an omega that was placed on this squad because of the well known, level headed and calming prescence omegas have on the other classes.

You hummed,"Well when you get shot and separated from your squad, you'd be distressed too."

He laughed, a hybrid of his voice and the whir of his body. He offered a shoulder for you to lean on, and you found yourself smiling at the masked fugue.

Not even wondering why a member of the alpha squad would come rescue you.

You woke in a bed that wasn't yours. The sheets felt too smooth on your skin and the pillows too plush under your head. Your senses felt amplified, so you kept your eyes shut to assess yourself. The first thing you noticed was the roar of your pulse in your ears. Like after an intense training session and you lay on the mat trying to catch your breathe. Except you didn't remember doing a workout prior to your nap. The throb of your pulse drowned out all sound, the pace of your heart nearly hurt, and the stitch in your side made it hard to breathe. You took a few shaky, calming breathes when you realized.

Heat. It must have begun while you slept or else it wouldn't have felt as strong as it did now. You rubbed your legs together, sticky slick coated your thighs. You groaned, doing laundry was always terrible. You were grateful it hadn't spilled out onto the sheets. You let out a feeble whine and turned your face into the pillow for comfort. These next few days are going to be awful...

You jerked into a sitting position so quickly your vision sparked. You waited until it cleared,taking a deep breathe. The scent of an alpha permeated the room and you couldn't imagine how you had missed it upon waking. Unless you had been in here since the beginning of your heat... You weren't too worried though, it was familiar even though your heat addled brain couldn't immediately place it.

The bedroom wasn't one you recognized, then again private quarters of the Overwatch members weren't common hang out spaces. Maybe someone had noticed your oncoming heat and put you in their room for safety. Most members of Overwatch were alphas and despite the strict self discipline they had, an omega in heat was always a temptation. You couldn't help the overwhelming relief that washed over you, your scent changing calm yourself down.

You decided it was best to move while you still had your wits about you. In the throes of heat, sometimes you forgot where you were. Plus, you had already invaded someone else's space with the scent of your heat. Whoever your rescuer was, you could thank them and be on your way.

You were wriggling your way to the edge of the bed, attempting to minimize slick spill, when the door opened. Despite the warmth radiating from your skin, a sudden chill ran down your back when you saw who it was.
