Been a while, are you going to continue this? Or are you ending this?

I'm assuming by "this" you mean this blog, and by that I gotta say: No clue! I've lost my fixation on this show a while before it ended (I'm sure people noticed), so I probably won't post often - if at all - anymore, very rarely maybe when a thought(tm) pops into my head.

The blog will probably be up forever, though. I've no plans of deleting anything, it's a nice blog!

I wanted to make a post about how Anne can never eat beetle jerky again but then I remembered this Anne never ate beetle jerky, physically, I mean. Her body never digested beetle jerky. She remembers doing it, obviously, but she's technically never eaten it because of the whole copy thing. And that got me thinking. The guardian says they made a perfect copy but did they really get the intricacies of the human body correct? Or does her body have to get used to everything again? What about her immune system? Does her body still have antibodies against certain illnesses or does it have to make new ones?

Yeah, it seems like a lot of folks are in denial over the indication by the guardian that original Anne is in fact straight up dead. Like, “For all intents and purposes, you are the same Anne Boonchuy” means “I copied ALL of you, so you are essentially the same person,” not “I merely plucked your soul out of your dying body and gave you a new one.”

Heck, it misses the point about even Anne herself noting that she’ll have a ton of existential dread to deal with in the future, cause if it was simply a body replacement, there would hardly have been anywhere near as much existentialism involved there, AND it would have been so, so easy for the guardian to just explain that they gave her a new body than making a whole copy of her.

Though on the show detail, man does it raise a question about what other details the guardian may have gotten wrong, and hoo boy would that be a lot for Anne to have to unpack lol. Imagine if it really starts to kick in for her if she notices her heart is beating on the wrong side of her chest, or if when she takes off her chest plate, she sees the school emblem on her shirt has been flipped.

After all, we never get to see her shirt after coming back hehehehehe…

I think the guardian just made a clone of Anne’s body and transferred her mind and soul to the new body before she died, that’s probably what the guardian meant by it, maybe idk how this stuff works lol

Even if that's what the guardian did, they didn't tell Anne that. Anne'd live with the only knowledge of how she survived being "I am a copy of the original Anne that died and I just have the same memories and such", and I don't think that's good for your mental health.

I think Anne's gonna-become-a-god-at-age-91 copy didn't feel comfortable celebrating her birthday on the same day as og-died-in-battle Anne. Maybe she felt like she didn't deserve to celebrate the same day. Maybe it helped her existential crisis, that she most definitely had, a little if she celebrated her birthday the day she was created, the day of the frogvasion. Maybe she had a breakdown when they tried to celebrate her birthday on non-copy Anne's birthdate. Who knows? I think them celebrating her birthday on the day current Anne was brought into the world by god means something, I think there's something there.

Matt said on twitter that Marcy visited often and that her line about ten years having passed refered to the frogvasion, not them not seeing each other, so I'm pretty sure they, and especially Sasha since she was still in town unlike Marcy, didn't just miss her birthday and gave her 8-months belated birthday presents.

Or it really was just an oversight and I'm thinking too much into it.
