I need to know if this is something people did in the 20th century. Do we have people writing into newspapers (the 20th century version of casual posting) to be like "Intellectually I support such and such proposal which takes in to account the next 30 years, but I did find it crazy to think of the 1960s as a real time". Or is it only because scifi writers went "well for the future let's change the millennium" and we've all grown up on decades of scifi taking place in the 21st century. I'

I think it's... I don't know if problem is the right word, but a thing, that "planning for the next 30 years" or even "planning for the next 50 years" is a very reasonable thing for a person or an institution to do, but "planning for 2054" or "planning for 2074" at some level sounds like ridiculous sci-fi shit. Not sure how to address this.

I'm in a server very close to this that has just become a group chat. The off topic channels get far more use than the fandom channels the server was created for. None of the mods are active. I can't access the NSFW channel because no one can switch my roles, as the server was created before native NSFW functionality.

Mine did a demonstration about how promiscuity spreads STDs. We were each supposed to tap the finger of two other people and then the teacher chose one person and said "everyone who tapped them stand up, ok everyone to tapped someone standing up stand up" and so forth until it was supposed to be the entire class standing.

However two people who sat next to me and myself were too lazy to stand up and walk around the room. So we tapped each other, and by being isolated from the rest of the classroom, we didn't end up standing. So we turned a pro-monogomy demonstration into one about how closed triads were just as safe.

Question for Dimension 20 fans, do all the series take place in the same universe/multiverse? Other than fantasy high obviously. Because Brennan strikes me as the kind of person who either loves or hates massive interconnected settings.

Whether or not they explicitly acknowledge the glitches (like have the editor talk about their process or how Sam got his hands on the home movie clips, not just saying they had issues compiling) will decide to me if there will be an arg as the season finale. If they don't even acknowledge the time loop and just talk about the other episode elements, I'll be completely convinced there's going to be an arg

I'm calling it right now, in next week's behind the scenes they're going to comment on the video/audio degradation and intercutting of home movies and be like "there were unexpected complications with the upload but we did our best"

finally finished disco elysium & the ending felt so abrupt?? i didn’t even get to finish half my side quests before my boss arrived from precinct 41 to tell me i’m just a gym teacher and forcibly remove me from revachol…..what will happen with the class war. where is my gun. who will tell the cryptozoologist about the bug

I don't know what paddington is doing on that list, but it made me think of the time someone drew a picture of the queen with paddington after she died, and we had scores of people losing their minds at the idea that paddington bear wasn't the same kind of communist as them

"what will happen with the class war" is left open in the game, but all the other points you have are quests that are resolvable. You rushed into the ending, which in the isometric rpgs disco Elysium is in the style of, will leave side quests unresolved. You shouldn't have gone to the island until you did everything you wanted to. I can't remember how clear the game makes that, or if you need Gamer Instincts to guess that. There's no hard time limit, just increasing ludonarrative dissonance as you do random shit while leaving a murder unsolved.
