So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Okay, quick answer to this. (it isnt quick - got a bit long, cause. yknow. current hyperfixation and stuff.)
Both sigils are from the Lemegeton Clavicula Solomonis Regis, Book 1, a supposedly ancient text carried over from the biblical king Solomon, who, with these sigils, bound 72 demons, or "spirits". These spirits are some famous names like Baal, Asmodeus, Belial, etc. All servants of Lucifer, and each with their own armies.
Aleister Crowley, the namegiver to the Good Omens Character, was a historic figure in, broadly speaking, various dubious sects, and "improved" these sigils to be more "accurate". The book itself is a distant branch of the jewish esoteric practice of Kabbalah, and then filtered through british hands by dear Crowley.
I use quotation marks on "improved" and "accurate", because Crowley's idea of a good representation of Vepar (refered to as he/him, btw), a Great Duke of Hell, who controls storms and the sea itself, and brings plague to all wounded, festering maggots in their body, is this thing:

see my issue with his artistic skills? And that fucker is complaining about Solomon's orthography.
Anyway, THOSE COINS!
The left one is a sigil that is to be worn when summoning one of Solomon's demons, in this specific case, Astaroth.
That demon looks like a "hurtful angel riding on an Infernal Beast like a Dragon". Apparently, he also has a poison breath, so the summoner must hold the sigil to their face to not suffocate.
When bound within a circle and presented the sigil, Astaroth is forced to give true answers to all questions, as he can see past, present and future. Also, he knows how angels fell from heaven to become demons/spirits.
The sigil itself should be cast in copper, so that coin might be correct, if it actually is 100% copper (which is the alchemical element symbolizing Venus) (same thing goes for Vepar btw, the two are the same rank). Astaroth might eat you if it isnt.
HOWEVER the right one is definetely wrong. It's the sigil of Asmoday, and is supposed to be cast in gold, not copper, because Asmoday is a Great King of Hell, not just a Duke, and requires the alchemical compound for the sun as... catalyst? And the sun is gold, so yeah.
Asmoday has three heads, one of a bull, a man, and a ram. His tail is a whole damn serpent, and he has a flame breath, goose feet and he also rides a dragon.
Asmoday is a WAY higher rank than Astaroth, so even when bound wihin a circle, the summoner must show their respects and must keep standing, and not sit down nor kneel. Using a proper sigil made from gold would protect against Astaroth's wrath and force him to at least sit still for a minute. He can teach any science, language, handcraft, can make people invincible (or invisible, depending on translation), knows the answer to all questions that relate to the present, and the location of any buried treasure for some reason.
Some of these demons have REALLY weird descriptions, there is like three seperate spirits that look just like normal pigeons. There is a demon that is just described as "might be a good familiar". A lot of them are dragons, or riding on dragons and oddly mediocre horses. Also, almost all of them can make people either invincible/invisible and/or make people fall in love. And a lot of the rituals only work on certain weekdays.
Can absolutely recommmend reading the Lemegeton.
Can NOT recommend seriously using the instructions to summon demons.
As for my obsession with this? I needed fun little symbols for an army of demons that im using for a future comic project. Got a bit too exited and have now aquired more oddly specific knowledge about humans! I'm taking most of those demons and actually (fuck you, Crowley) improve their "official" sigils, so they at least look SOMEWHAT believeable and workable. And maybe have fewer crosses and swirlies. I WILL complain about those a lot.
So far, i have made up around 400 deities, some based on Solomon's demos, most based on gods and deities from other cultures, religions, or just legends - i'm mixing and matching some traits, polishing a few designs, drastically reducing the number of heads (and horses). Buddhism is amazing for that, anything relating to Jewish faith (and in turn, Chrisitanity), and of course ancient roman, greek and nordic myths.
Last note: Some people believe in these things, others do not. But people also believe in gods, so who is to say what is and isnt real. I'm just having a ton of fun studying weird little details and using them as references and inspirations for stories. Respect and awe where they are due, though in adequate measure and with a proper point of view. The rest is drag.
[edit: Another note. My scribbles above are my attempt at freestyling and understanding how the fuck Solomon/Crowley built these sigil - I scribbled them while having the Lemegeton and a coffee in my left, and a pen and lollipop in my right hand.]

Crowley deserves to be slapped for this bullshit.

we haven't had a true tumblr sexyman in years. Sans was like the last one. I can still see his weird glowing goo ghost dick when I close my eyes. that kind of absolute derangement just doesn't happen anymore. some people just liking Astarion and Senshi a lot is not the same. a true tumblr sexyman makes this website absolutely unusable

In Tribulation Mode, I call that corridor in Storm Top the GSA (Grenth's Slippery Asscrack). It represents my very own personal hell.
I think i spent about as much time in that part as in the rest of the zone.
