i think marinette's neurodivergency is the kind of neurodivergency where everyone's like 'no, yeah, she totally has adhd.' but adrien has spent so much of his life masking that even he doesn't even realise that maybe there's something goin on in his noggin.

but YEARS after they start dating, when theyre like 18/19 and have first moved in together, marinette notices that adrien has a tendency to just... sporadically info dump. just very random chunks of information on things with absolutely no preamble nor explanation of context afterwards.

one night at like, 2am, marinette's just about to drift off to sleep when adrien's like, "are you awake?" thinking he had a nightmare she's like yes of course chaton what's on your mind? he's quiet for a moment before, in a single stream of speech, says "did you know in england they found this man called the cheddar man in cheddar cave? they made this 3d bust of him and it showed that he had dark skin and blue eyes. and apparently this was actually a super common thing because as a species we started off as dark skinned and white skin was actually a genetic mutation that just persisted in the north because we didn't need the UV protection from melanin. and since there were literally thousands of years before we actually got distinct ethnic phenotypes, does that mean in a thousand years the phenotypes will be even more different? what if people develop purple eyes? or blue skin, like avatars? like how do we know that won't happen? and if it did happen how would makeup brands know when to start introducing new foundation shades? at what point will the population have to grow for mac to release, like, a purple concealer line?"

marinette just looks at him and says "do you want to try my adderall tomorrow?"

THE END!! I can't believe I finally completed this. When I first started this comic, I had no idea that it would end up being this long. A little over 3 years and over 200 parts, so around 2000 panels. (My folder that holds all my files relating to this comic is 3 GB with 2,017 items....). I honestly can't believe that I managed to stick around to the end of this. Thank you all so much for the support, I never imagined that so many people would care about this comic when I started it!

Of course, there are still some loose threads. The kwamis and Nathalie for example, but the core of this series has always been about the emotional conflict between Marinette and Adrien, and that has been resolved. I have some epilogue ideas to cover those loose ends, but this comic has already taken so much of my time and I'm not sure I want to promise that I'll get around to it. ... But who knows. Maybe!

For now, Adrien and Marinette will get some long-deserved rest.

HELP LMAO YOU'RE SO REAL FOR THIS i genuinely do still want to finish all of my ongoing fics it's just my life keeps changing too fast for me to keep up and find a new rhythm. I started writing fics for ml when I was in high school, it was so easy to constantly write, not to mention having less self-criticism when I was younger. In the last year and a half I graduated university, got my first job, started learning 3D animation, started being active on Youtube and will soon be trying to be consistently active, sprained my knee, and attempted (and failed) to move out. So a lot of firsts. Enough of that though, I'm now getting used to everything and my work hours changed in a way that may be able to get back to writing. I didn't say all of this because I felt I owed an explanation but instead because I actually relate, I'm constantly thinking your concerns to myself and getting frustrated. So just know that I don't forget about the works and my plans for them stick in my head. Treat me like those cryptid musicians who drop an album and then go mia for a bit and then surprise you with another album. I can't promise consistency yet, but I'm not indefinitely empty-handed either.

So sorry this is late, I hope the wait was worth it and that you enjoy this fic, this is part one of two ^^ I’ll be sure to add a little something extra with the second chapter. I tried adding as many tropes as I could from your list! Summary: An Akuma swaps not only Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculous but even their clothes, leaving them in more of a mess than they were ready for.  Chapters: 1/2  Words:  2939 Lady Noire ducked into an alleyway and detransformed. The flashes of green light barely stood out in the orange glow of sunset.

 “Alright, Plagg, I’ll have to get you back to Chat Noir tomorrow, unfortunately. It’s getting dark out and there’s no sign of the akuma.” 

It had been agreed upon that Tikki and Plagg wouldn’t travel with the Miraculous in hand and that Lady Noire and Mister Bug wouldn’t try making the exchange in the sewers either for their safety. The akuma could be anywhere and could be wearing anything. Stealth was by far the most dangerous weapon. 

Plagg shrugged. “Fine by me, as long as you have cheese at home.” 

Marinette reached for her purse, “I should have some but don’t raid me too much, ok? I’m a college student, you know.” 

She patted her hip and was met with the belt loop of loose-fitting jeans and the waistband of her underwear slipping out. “Huh?!” Marinette looked down at herself, “these aren’t my pants! These aren’t my clothes!”

 “Oh, those must be–” Plagg’s mouth spewed bubbles before he could say the name. He stared at Marinette. She looked up at him. “Are these…” Marinette patted the baggy t-shirt and cream jacket she wore, “Do these clothes belong to Chat Noir?!”
